Dial by Extension from the Response Group

Hello,
We do not have extensions. Every user has its own DID number. Internally we use 5 digits dialing. Digits are the last numbers of our DID numbers. Each user has configured Enterprise Voice with LineURI tel:+15555555555.
We want to add option to Dial by Extension option to our main Response Group. We have Dial By Name option and, when selected, it forwards to Exchange AA.
How do I configure Dial by Extension option? Anyone can help me with this?

Did you want internal extensions with DID or without DID?

  • Dialing phone extensions from the Calendar

    I am trying to use the native calendar app for my corporate mail/meetings.  One meeting is a conference bridge I need to dial into and I cant seem to get the soft pauses to work correctly.  In the invite I have 888< Conference Number>,,1,<Bridge ID#>,# in other calendars it saw this as a string and would dial the number pause for ~4 seconds dial the bridge id number pause for 2 seconds and then press pound.  On the native Samsung calendar it does not recognize the commas as pauses and will only open the conference number in the phone app.  What format do I need to use for the phone to recognize this as a string and include everything past the conference number.

    Thanks for the response JoeKiv, yes using the pause when creating a contact does work but how do I embed that number into a meeting invite?  Because once outside of the contact it no longer see's the comma as a pause.

    I get this error message when calling into an unassigned number which redirects to a response group:

    Diagnostic header:

    Interestingly "To user URI: 0220198611;phone-context=DefaultProfile" is the number off the caller not the destination. I wonder is this a bug? So is the response group trying to transfer to this number and failing because of course it doesnt exist?
    As you can see the below the number I am calling is not 0220198611: 
    From phone number: 0220198611;phone-context=DefaultProfile
    To phone number: +6493760053 From mediation server: onzlyncfe1.domain.co.nz To mediation server: From gateway: 192.168.100.70
    To gateway:
    Disconnected by: +6493760053
    Does the calling party's number have to be normalised? If so how can I do this because the global normailisation rules dont seem to apply
    in this situation. These rules do work when when calling into a users DDI. 
    Also to be clear....
    +6493760053 is an unassigned number which is setup to redirect to a response group.
    If I assign +6493760053 to a user then it works.
    Additionally this works perfectly when the gateway sends the call to our legacy 2007r2 mediation server then on to Lync. If the gateway sends the call directly to the co-located Lync mediation server I get the error described.
    I hope I make sense. If you are confused let me know :)

    Kindly advise how you transfered the unassigned numbers to a specific user, i used the below command but it failled, the message displayed but the call never routed:
    New-CsAnnouncement -Parent service:ApplicationServer:LyncFE.squareone.local -Name "SQ unassigned number announcement" -TextToSpeechPrompt "You entered an invalid extinsion you will be forwarded to the operator" -Language "en-US" -TargetUri "sip:[email protected];user=phone"
    While [email protected] is the sip uri in my lync for the operator

  • I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7520 ... pretty new. Sometimes when I download a CD / album to my library acouple of tracks get separated away from the main group. I've tried to click and drag the stragglers over to the main group but it doesn't work. Any Ideas

My laptop is using Windows 8. My old XP laptop didn't have this problem. I'm not sure if that has any thing to do with it. Any ideas would be appreciated.     If I understand correctly, it sounds like iTunes is not grouping the songs from a particular CD together. The cause could be something as minor as a misspelling or slight variations. For more information, see the following resource:

  • Dialing an extension during the main greeting

    Hello,
    Users are unable to dial an extension during the Main greeting call handler ( if you know your extension, you can dial it at any time..) in unity connection that does not have a voice mail box associated it. Users would like to dial dn's that exist in CUCM without voice mail boxes. There is a box in the standard greeting that says allow users to transfer to non voicemail extensions and it is checked but it still doesn't work.
    is there additional configuration that I am missing to allow users to dial an extension during the greeting that uconn is not aware of?

    Make sure the restriction tables in CUC allow what they need to dial, and that your CUCM integration (SIP/SCCP) can reach that DN via their CSS.

  • My user was removed from the wheel group automatically.

    On the second day after doing a system update (which installed Gnome 3) I noticed that my user was removed from the wheel group. Any idea what did it?

    Hmmm.. actually the only thing I did was turn on auto-login as my non-root user in System settings->User Accounts after unlocking it (the prompt asks for root pass). I'm not sure if that was before or after this happened though.
    I haven't changed any group related settings since almost a year ago. It seems a little odd that this happened. Not a big deal though, since I re-added my user to the wheel group, but I'd still like to know how and what changed it.

  • Delay in the Response Group Rining / Call Pickup from another Extension

    Dear All,
    We have just finished a deployment of Lync 2013 with Sonus 1000 as the Mediation Gateway, we have deloyed polycom VVX 600 phones,
    We have two lines E1 and 5 Fxo lines (with same Pilot Number)
    I would like the Receptionist to have both E1 DID number and FXO number and her phone to ring when the calls comes from DID line as well as FXO,
    I have the below scenario
    1) Currently the setup is that Receptionist is configured with the E.164 DID number : (Line URI is Tel:+971XXXX500;ext=500), which work perfectly fine
    2) We have added receptionist in Response Group , and setting are (Formal,10 sec , Attendant)
    The issue :
    1) Call forwarding does not work on Response Group (which is by design it self)
    2) When a call comes from the outside to FXO it goes to response group , (there is Music played and the ring on reception is delayed by 2-3 secs) ,
    Customer does not want this delay , it should ring immediately with no music,
    3) If the receptionist moves from one location to any other location to another , she should have the ability to remotely perform call forward to that extension by simply dialing few codes on the phone ( I already told customer
    about PIN based authentication, by customer does like the idea of signing in or signing out)

    Did the issue only happen for IP Phone in Response Group or also happen for Lync client in Response Group?
    If the issue only happen for IP Phone, it seems to be an known issue. Please Make sure Lync Server update to the latest version and then test again.

  • How to get a response from the support group ?

    I`ve been trying to get help to actually download Adobe elements.
    When I put in my details for purchase - the system says "system error". I phoned the support group and was told that the charge on my card had gone through and they were waiting for a response from me.
    I queried "what response"and since then - nothing !
    Not happy.... and this has now been going on two days and multiple entries to customer care....
    I`m open to ideas - either I can download it, or cancel the transaction.

    They took 5 hours to respond to the "chat" by which time I`d gone to do something else.
    I`ll keep trying them.

  • Can't direct dial some extensions from AA

    So it appears that from our AA you can only direct dial extensions that have a VM setup.  For instance if you dial 145 Server Room (no VM) from the AA you get "you have entered an invalid phone number"  But if you dial 116 Bob Smith (has VM) you get put through no problem.  Yes "Dial by number anytime" is checked in the AA settings.  I can't imagine that you would need to have voicemail enabled to be dialed directly from the AA.  Thoughts?

    You need to configure a CUE user with telephone number. No mailbox is needed.
    Alternatively you can use my "universal AA" script that has the option to dial any extension without needing the user being configured.
    That can be acquired on the website mentioned in my profile.

    Hi Navin,
    go to SPROXY, flag structure and search for your table definition. You will find a table definition a field "line" or something, where you find the right structure. Create a new structure with DATA: myStructure type tableStructure. Define a second structure type with your Ztable. Next Loop at internal table into the structure. Inside that loop fill the Zstructure. Insert the Zstrucure (Press F1 on insert to have the syntax you need)
    loop at internalTable into intStructure.
    zstructure-myField = intStructure-myField.
    INSERT ztable FROM zstructure.
    endloop.

  • Removing a cs5 extension from the command line on Windows broken ?

    On Windows
    "Adobe Extension Manager CS5.exe" -suppress  -remove product="Dreamweaver CS5" extension="Sample"
    does not work. MacOS similar cmd line works fine. The process always exits with a non-zero status. If I run w/o -suppress the GUI for Extension Mgr
    shows up w/o actually removing the extension on Windows!
    Is this a known bug ? Any workaround to uninstalling an extension from command line on Windows ?
