Dial in Pocket pc

Hello.
I have a problem.
In my program use a 'dial' that represents the grades of a circulate. I work with LB 7.1 and with the I Modul of pda.
I need that the dial this like leave in LB. When passing it to the pda their aspect it is different.  I want it like in LB 7.1
Does somebody know like I can change it?
Thank you, Greta

Well, I'm not very big on math, but here is an example showing the most primitive way, using Pythagoras's law to calculate the distance.
I only did the top right quadrant (where both X and Y get bigger, because you're going down and to the right). You will have to do the rest yourself.
There are definitely more efficient ways of doing this (maybe using complex numbers), but I don't know them at the moment.
Try to take over the world!

  • REAL buttons and dials on Pocket PC

    Hi All,
I am working on a Pocket PC project.  Instead of using a touch screen, I am trying to use REAL buttons, clickers, dials, or tracking ball as the user interface.   Has any one worked on encoders or anything that will help on that before?

Hi hellolv, do you want to use the hardware buttons of your PDA or you want to add additional hardware to the PDA?
For working with the buttons on the PDA there is an example in LabVIEW search examples.
In case you want to use additional hardware depending on your PDA if it has USB you can connect a USB DAQ card and receive your inputs through there.

  • Iphone 4 constantly "pocket dials" my contacts whilst the lock screen is on...

My iPhone 4 constantly "pocket dials" my contacts due to pressure on the home button whilst the screen is locked, can I turn it off?

You cannot turn off the Home Button. Use a passcode and you won't have that problem.

  • Weird pocket dialing AND security code does not keep phone from waking to web pages, iTunes, etc.

I got an iPhone on my Verizon contract this past November. It appears to be a lemon. Not only does it pocket dial repeatedly and often but it wakes to a variety of apps with no apparent logic. I am getting really weary of the mess involved...and I am not even getting into upside down pix when emailed.
I put on a security key and that has no impact whatsoever.
Anyone have any ideas? I am using the latest iOS.

Don't know if this will help, but take look at: http://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=373 and http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/automator/photoshopactionpack.html

  • HT4528 New iPhone 5c is "pocket" and "table top" dialing calls and facetime.

This is my third iPhone.  I had a six month old iPhone 5 and we switched family plans.
My phone is seriously out of control.  It pocket called my adult son, a medical student, twice when he was in a meeting with his dean.  It FaceTimed him during rounds.  It Facetimed my daughter when she was sound asleep.  My two other iPhones would very occasionally do this, but it wasn't a problem.
My daughter accidently called me in the middle of the night.  I put the phone on the bedstand and did not touch it, and it called my husband's fax number.  No one was touching it.  Could it be reacting to voice command?
I've been alone the other times, dragging in groceries and it's dialing people in my pocket.  I set up the passcode, but that doesn't seem to help, as long as it's active I can't depend on this phone.
It is my first time with iOS 7.1

    - Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    - Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
    - Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
    - Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
    - Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137  For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
    - Test the issue after each step.  If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

  • Pocket dialing 911

I recently pocket dialed 911 while the phone was locked and in my pocket. I was walking down my driveway when I realized their was an active call and I had to unlock the phone to disengage the call to 911. This past weekend I was speaking to a police officer and he said they get approximately three calls per shift from Blackberry phones that have pocket dialed 911. This has to be a serious flaw in either the software or the hardware but I cannot get an answer from my network provider.

I've never had a 911 pocket dial in two years with my Z10 or Z30.
Of course, I don't keep it in my pocket either
Ever consider a device sleeve or pouch?

  • Problem with Pocket Dialing aka Butt Dial ?

    Hello,
My Wife and I both have the iPhone5 and for some reason she is always Pocket Dialing, after she is done with a call she puts the phone to sleep
( presses the on/off switch on top of the phone ), and then puts it in her back pocket. for some reason she make calls anyway.
I have compared her setting with mine and they seem to be the same.
I was wondering is anyone had any suggestion, or has had a simular problem ?
        Thank You for any suggestions
        John
        PS:
        iPhone 5
         IOS 6.0
         ATT

If you passcode lock the phone, then when you put it to sleep, makes it 10x harder to butt dial. I have never had an issue with that as long as i put it to sleep , since i have a passcode that has to be entered.

  • IOS 8 voice dialing, "Just to confirm..."

What a huge step backward in the usability of my iPhone.  Instead of telling Siri, "call Mom mobile" and getting the response "calling Mom mobile" followed by the call going through, Siri now responds with, "Just to confirm, would you like to call Mom?".  It may not sound like much but that extra step plus the required response from me makes it slower to use voice dialing than to remove the phone from my pocket and dial the number.  Oh please let there be a way to switch this 'feature' off.

I ran into the same problem after upgrading to iOS 8 and it's REALLY annoying.
However, today I stumbled upon something that seems to have fixed the problem on the contacts that I've tried it on so far.
    Here's what I did:
    1) I changed the last digit of the contact's phone number (by adding 1) and then I saved the contact record
    2) I changed the last digit of the contact's phone number back to what it needs to be (by subtracting 1) and then I saved the contact record again
After I did this, I used Siri to call the contact and she called without the "Just to confirm..." prompt.  I had one or two contacts that this didn't work on right away so I had to repeat the process, but it eventually worked the second time around.
Again, I just stumbled upon this today so I'm not positive it's a permanent fix but it looks promising so far.

  • Voice dial does not confirm nor allow cancel

When I use voice dial (usually via bluetooth headset on iPhone 3GS), if the iPhone decides it has found an exact match, it will notify me of the match and then start dialing.  It does not confirm the match with me, and when it starts dialing, the "Cancel" keyword does not work - nor does pressing the call button on my headset do anything.
Instead, I have to frantically dig my phone out of my pocket and scramble to the phone interface and presss "End Call" before the accidental international call goes through.
Is there a way to allow either or both actions in iOS?  Or is there a way to submit an enhancement request?

You can leave feedback here -> http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Where can I find the pocket detection feature?

Since the upgrade, I keep forgetting my phone doesn't turn off when I put it in my pocket.  I keep butt dialing people, and now I cant find the setting to turn off when i put the phone in my pocket!! Any help???
Also- Is is possible to forward a text thread as a whole communication to email for storage? Or do you have to select each email and copy and paste...which is a huge waste of time.
    Thanks

        Hi lp23088,
I also have the Droid Razr and I can relate to your concerns. It is normal for all phones to function a bit different after a major software update. I recommend locking your screen before you put it in your packet by pressing the power button to avoid any unwanted dialing.
I'm not aware of any way to forward a text message thread for storage; however, I recommend running a google search for such function as you may find a 3rd party application capable of doing it.

  • Dialer and battery

Normally, my HTC Thunderbolt with an extended battery gives me about 10-12 hours of talk and internet use and about 24 hours of standby time.  On Friday 9/14 I got just four hours of use.  In looking at battery use, I see the dialer went nuts chewing up 25% of the battery on a continuous basis. I had not made any calls since Thursday evening.
Force stopping the dialer and a cold reboot did not solve the problem.
However, after leaving the device turned off and on charge over night I see the dialer has throttled back to 2% of use or zero.  This is standby mode as I understand it.
A review of various Android forums on the Internet shows many reports of similar problems with Android phones.  A call to Verizon Technical Support revealed the carrier has no record of this type of problem!
There is no single cause of the dialer going berserk, but some reports suggest is it associated with the following sound settings being checked "on":
    - Quiet ring on pickup
    - Pocket mode
    - Flip for speaker
All three settings are associated with the motion sensor.  My suspicion is that a bug in the motion sensor code keeps the dialer from shutting down after a call and after one or more of these functions are triggered by the user.
The older version of the dialer had a setting that forced it to shut down after a call.  You could set it to return to the contacts screen on hang up.  That option is gone in Android 2.3.4, SW # 2.11.605.19 71ORD
It is not useful to turn off the motion sensor, though there are NON-root tools do so, since it is also used for screen orientation, e.g. landscape v. portrait, for other functions.
It seems to me that HTC and Verizon have some explaining to do because hundreds of reports on the Internet clearly means some of them must have been brought to the carrier's attention over time.
BTW: Verizon's technical support blamed the battery and sold me a new extended unit for $50 since the original was out of warranty.  That was before I did the research I am reporting here.

  • Voice Dialing and navigating in the following drop...

My new 6600 fold drives me mad! How can I navigate through the diiferent numbers/contacts when I use voice dialing via headset? The idea is: press the button on my headset, then talk a contacts name e.g. "Peter" (with or without thumbs in the nose). The phone recognizes my speech as "Peter" (with luck) and shows:
    1. a list with contacts who has "Peter" as name/first name (depending on what list format i use - why can the pone not shows both like in my "old" Nokia 9300?) and THEN?
    or
    2. a single contact and dial his number. But WHAT if this contact has more numbers?
Solution: Take the phone out of the pocket, unfold it and navigate with the keys through the contacts/numbers? THAT I did not have in mind when I want to call somebody via headset. Is there an undocumented set of voice commands to navigate throug the menu? The manual is not really helpful for that.
As workaround you can for case 1 say the complete name e.g. "Peter Tschaikowski" and talk a little bit more in a robotic voice for a better understanding (like i read in other posts here).. OK, this might work.
In case number 2 I start to select one number as "standard" number who will select when the name is clear. But that is nit really helpfull if you want to talk to your mum/boss/girlfriend with a different number when driving a car. in my country it is not allowed to use the phone without headset in the car. For me it will be a expensive pleasure to use my 6600 fold while driving.....

connect to internet via phone (connect to the internet via a bnluetooth enabled phone)- if i choose to connect (on my bluetooth connection wizzard on ppc)it says; phone number - country code (i'm in uk so +44), area code - take it this is the mobiles code 0780 (would this be 5 digits same as landline?) then phone number - Thats it for the set up, it then tries to connect to the phone... • HT3597 how do you deactivate voice control so when the phone is in your pocket, you can play music without it stopping all the time??

how do you play songs uninterupted when the phone is in your pocket?

Tap Settings, tap General, tap Passcode Lock, tap Turn Passcode On. When that is enabled, below there is an option to toggle Voice Dial on or off (note: Music Voice Control is always enabled). Unfortunately, if you do not want Passcode Lock on, you cannot disable this feature.

  • Is my iPhone alinve (self dialing)?

    Alright, I am not crazy!
My wife received 2 calls in a row placed from ... my pocket!
I thought, ok, maybe i accidentally dialed when I put my phone in my pocket...
But right now, as my iPhone is laying by my side, not touching anything, I see him suddenly dialing a friend of mine!!!!!!
Am i waking up from a sweet dream to discover the truth?
The iPhone was too good to be true?
I want to go back to sleep...
Any one had the same problem or is my iPhone possessed?

oh sorry, i misunderstood your question !
well then my guess is the Contact app ? despite it's capabilities i do use this as a phone & little else ( no iCloud, no emails, no internet except if i REALLY need to - i find the screen way too small for everyday use..)
besides maybe i should've added that when it ''edits'' said contacts, they also appear edited in the Contact app ?...
