Dial Pad doesn't register numbers

With the newest version of Skype on iOS7 on my iPhone I am unable to use the dial pad once I join a call. I need to be able to dial a contact and then input numbers as a PIN to join, however in the new version there is seemingly no easy way to do this.
You must place the call, then back out 2-3 screens to get back to the dial pad, then it doesn't register the digits entered thus effectively rendering it useless for my needs. Is this a known bug, or is there something I am missing?

I'm facing the same issure. Is there anyone going to answer it properly . Its offical skype community . com'n should have answer.

Hello there, I have an issue that just cropped up and I'm not sure if it's some setting that's buried somewhere that I turned on by mistake. I have a Sprint Treo 800w
Symptons that may be related:
1. Sometimes when I try to pull up the dial paid, I instead get a blank white screen. So I go back to the Today screen and the pull up the dial paid a second time, the same way, and the dial pad comes up.
2. When I dial from the Today screen, say my voice mail, it used to pull up the phone screen with <mute> <speaker> etc on it, but now it stays on the Today screen, though it's dialing and connecting ... and while on the phone, it stays on the Today screen.
How do I get the dial pad to show up and stay and pop up automatically, like it used to?

Hello!
Take the battery out of the phone for 20sec and then put it back in to reboot the phone. Appears that you have too much running in the backgroung. Also make sure that keep unneccessarry applications running by going into the task manager sometimes to close running programs out.

Show dial pad when answering incoming call

I need to be able to press '1' after I answer an incoming call (Google Voice call screening). The dial pad doesn't appear on the screen. If anyone has solved this problem, I'd be grateful to hear how you did.

format the phone. make sure all users from contact list have set their default number. this helped in my case.

We want to make sure that everythig is working on the device without any kind of issues. When did you notice that the dial pad went away once a phone call is made or received? Do you have a screen protector on the phone that covers the sensors on the device? Please keep us posted.

Numbers for dial pad not recognized connected to o...

Hi,
When being connected to a bank (fixed line) support number through Skype I have to choose an option in their systems menu through the dial pad to be connected to the right department. However their system is not recognizing numbers picked from the dial pad and asks again after which the call is disconnected.
Please advise?

You can uninstall current version of Skype from the control Panel and you can install Special Version.

and disable automatic updating of Skype.
In Skype, Tools >> Options >> Advanced >> Automatic updates >> Click on Turn off automatic updates >> Save Changes.

No need to. The system will automatically do so...been like this for years.

Is there a case or screen protector that is possibly interfering with the proximity sensor (detects if the phone is near your face, allows the keypad/screen to be visible when the phone is away from your face)

No dial pad numbers on Nokia 925

Wow. i'm glad I'm not the only one unable to locate a way to lodge a new post (so I'll have to use this reply as well). At the risk of offending people in here i have to say that this would be the worst forum interface I've ever seen. What sort of forum makes it impossible to post a new question?
But onto my question.
I have a Nokia 925 which I think is a great phone, dispite the annoying lock ups every now and then. But just now I went to make a phone call and the number pad will not display!!! From the phone log screen I click the dial pad icon at bottom of screen and get the display "Loading . . . ." or the phone hangs for 5 to 10 seconds and then reverts to the Start screen.
Everything else on the phone is working fine. i can email, txt and even make phone calls from my contacts list. And I can bring up the number from within a call initiated through my Contacts list. I have deleted my call log, txt history and rebooted (a couple of times). I have also tried a "soft" reset - hold volume down key while starting. I am using (approx.) 15GB of my 32GB storage. I haven't installed anything on the phone of late, this just appears to have started randomly this morning.
Anyone else had issues with the number/dial pad not showing up? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Dial pad

Hello. My BB phone doesn't have a dial pad. Is this true for all other BB phones? Whenever I typed numbers on the standby screen and instead of calling that set of numbers, I ended up searching that number on my phone. I mean, is there any way to access dial pad for easy calling? It is really contrasting to all other phone makes.

It would be extremely helpful if you were to reveal your exact BB model number and OS level...there are many possibilities, and that information will help greatly to give you specific guidance:

You should have actually been prompted for that information when you registered...but, in the field for your model, you put "BB Socials"...that's not a valid model of BB...

Dial pad does not display

Was trying to enter a conference call tonight and the dial pad was not displayed. Tried to type the numbers into the screen via my keyboard and it was not recognized. When will this be fixed.

Tamim ~ no you are wrong, it doesn't display. I used it for my free trial, and as others are saying, as soon as I signed up for phone calling, its now disappeared, and just as others report it only appears while you're IN a call. real helpful then (NOT)
also, in trying to respond here to you, I click reply and skype requires me to re sign in, put in my email and phone - which it ALREADY HAS, and then I had to figure out how to find my way back to this thread. When calling a phone number from Skype, I mistyped the phone number. Now whenever I call a phone number, the dial pad's dropdown list includes the mistyped phone number. I want to delete that single number from the dial pad's dropdown list.
Unfortunately I obeyed some people's suggestions in other topics. Now the contents of all chat histories with all ordinary Skype contacts are gone. I used to save logs of those forever, but the attempt to delete one phone call history actually deleted all chat histories with everyone. That was not what I wanted. ... And then, to add insult to injury, whenever I call a phone number, the dial pad's dropdown list still includes the mistyped phone number that I want to delete.
Is there any way to do it?

Z30 - keeping the dial pad "lit" when in a call

I have been struggling with the lack of a physical keyboard and trackpad since being upgraded to the z30. I've discovered a related problem with the touch screen dial pad. What am I missing?
I placed a call that was answered with an automated reception. It required me to press certain numbers and spell names to get my call directed to the right place. However, the screen kept "blanking out" during the call. Is there a setting that will allow me to keep the screen "lit" whenever I am on a call?
For example, it would say "press pound", so I would pull the phone away from my head, and look at the phone and it was unlit. I would touch the screen (sometimes multiple times) until it would light. Then I would press pound, but by the time I had done this, the window to do so with the automated reception had timed out. So the automated call system would repeat the question, by which time the screen would have blacked out again. Each time I had to "recussitate" the screen before I could press whatever command was required by the automated call system. Often it took too long to get the screen lit again and I had to be re-prompted. It was quite frustrating for something that used to be so simple with a physical keyboard.

Dial Pad Auto-complete feature in Android 4.3 not working.

Hi!
I've been using Xperia devices for quite a long time and I just got myself the new Z1. I've updated it to Jelly Bean 4.3 OTA using Update Centre on the phone. According to the release there is an improved Dial pad auto-complete feature but I can't seem to see it work like it used to on my previous Xperia devices. The numbers I type in only shows up names of people whose phone number have the typed in numbers. But with my previous Xperia devices I could type in '323' and get 'Dad' as suggestion. Has this feature been removed from the new update?
Hope you guys can help me find a solution to that without having to install third-party apps.

I would love to have a solution to that too, seeing the 4.3 update for my Xperia V has the same crippling issue. It's no longer possible to type in "letters" into the dialer and find corresponding names, and as an inferior option there is no dial auto-complete option anywhere either.
