Dialin conferencing number on dedicated meeting space

Hi all,
when every user on my Lync Server 2013 organization create a scheduled meeting on Outlook addin with
option: My dedicated meeting space (less secure) and send invitation have a problem with DialIn Conferencing number.
The voice phone message is: Meeting ID not exist.
With option: A new meeting space (I control permissions) every dialin features work fine.
In dedicated meeting space the meeting it's not present on Web Scheduler but all meeting features work fine exept dialin connection.
The question is: is there my fault configuration or is this by design?

Would you please elaborate your Lync environment (migration from Lync Server 2010 or a new Lync Server 2013 environment)?
Check if there is any error message on FE Server.

Change dedicated meeting space options for new Lync Meetings

Is there a way to change the dedicated meeting space option to change "These people don't have to wait in the lobby" to Anyone? I know we can run set-csmeetingconfiguration on the global object, but this seems to change only new meeting
spaces not the dedicated meeting space?

Per my understanding, the purpose of dedicated meeting space keeps the same ID and permissions. Content, such as PowerPoint presentations or other files remain in the meeting until you delete them. It is option for informal meetings with
coworkers, which lets them sign in at any time with presenter permissions. There is no way to apply the option "These people don't have to wait in the lobby” for the dedicated meeting space. It’s by design.

Lync 2010 to Lync 2013 migration - Dialin conferencing

While migrating from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013, i have stopped all services on the Lync 2010 servers to make sure all is okay and everything is working fine with Lync 2013.
Nevertheless, when someone on Lync 2013 schedule a meeting, and someone dial one of the PSTN Dialin conference number and enter the conference ID, this scenario is not working.
If i start the Lync 2010 front end services, then the previous scenario works.
So i did something else. I have scheduled a meeting and i change the meeting options to get a new conference ID. this makes the conference work over dial in pst number while Lync 2010 services are down.
This means:
- When someone (Lync 2013 user) schedule a meeting, the default conference ID that is generated, requires the existence of Lync 2010 services for a PSTN Dial in user to connect
-When someone (Lync 2013 user) schedule a meeting and change the meeting options to get a new conference ID, then the PSTN Dial in user can connect even if all Lync 2010 services are down.
Any clue?

i have found it. moving the conference directories from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013 solves the whole thing.

How do I find the number of characters including spaces in Pages '13?

I need the number of characters including spaces on the new pages for an online document I have to fill in. I've found the character count excluding spaces but this is of no use to me.

Telephone Conferencing Number

All of a sudden my telephone conferencing number, Host ID, and Participan ID are blank??? What happened, and how do I get this information back?

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Due to changes in telecommunications regulations, the communications carrier that provided free phone conferencing for ConnectNow can no longer provide this service. As a result, Adobe no longer offers free phone conferencing for ConnectNow.
Other communications carriers provide free phone conferencing. You can search for a new carrier by entering "free phone conferencing" in your Internet search tool. You can also use your computer microphone as an alternative to phone conferencing.

CWMS - plans for Meeting Space?

Is there any plan or road map for adding the Meeting Space functionality to CWMS? As documented in this "Cisco Webex Meetings" quick start guide (http://www.webex.com/includes/documents/Getting_Started_Guide_091114.pdf?TrackID=1029999&hbxref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.webex.com%2Fsupport%2Fgetting-started.html&goid=quick_start_guide_US), it allows team members to upload documents, share and chat prior to the meeting to prepare for presentation.
We have users who would like to be able to do this (and of course don't understand that CWMS is a different Webex from the hosted version), but there is no ability to do so either from the meeting details on the user portal or via the Outlook plugin. Doesn't seem like a difficult feature to implement considering the storage of said docs could go to the same place recordings are saved.

At this time there are no plans to add this feature to CWMS. There is no enhancement request submitted for something like that either.
I would advise you to prepare the details about this feature and schedule a meeting with your Cisco Account Manager. Share these details with Cisco Account Team and they can take this to Product Management for consideration and implementation in future releases of the product.
For any other feature suggestions that can make the product better, you can follow the same path: clearly document the feature you would like to see and share it with your Cisco Account Team for discussion with Product Management.

Lync Server 2013 - Incorrect Dial-in Conferencing Number Displayed

I have configured dial-in conferencing and I have tested it and it is working as expected, but the dial-in webpage is showing an additional number that I cannot find configured anywhere in the Lync Control Panel. Once I navigate to the web page https://dialin.domain.com
I am seeing two numbers under the "Conference Dial-in Numbers" section. The problem is only one of these numbers has been configured in the Control Panel under Conferencing > Dial-in Access Number, the other number is bogus and I cannot find it
anywhere in the configuration.
I have tried disabling 'Dial-in (PSTN) conferencing' in the Topology Builder, removing all dial-in access numbers from the Control Panel, deploying the topology, re-running the Deployment Wizard on the Front End server. I then started from scratch and re-enabled
dial-in conferencing, added my only valid dial-in number, and ran the Deployment Wizard on the Front End server. Unfortunately this did not remove the bogus number from the dial-in webpage.
Does anyone have any idea on how I can remove this incorrect number from the Dial-in Conferencing web page? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This same issue happened to me once. The problem occurs when you disable Dial-in Conferencing without first deleting the Access Number. For whatever reason, this causes the Access Number to be removed as an AD contact object, but the number is not completely
removed from the topology. The end result is when you re-install Dial-in Conferencing and add an Access Number back into Lync, two Access Numbers will appear in Meeting Invites and the Dialin Settings webpage, even thought there is only 1 Access Number configured
in Lync.
If you manually export the Topology with Export-CsConfiguration to a zip file, you will find the entire contents of the CMS database in an XML file in the zip container. If you search through the XML file, you will find all of the Dial-in Access Numbers
that appear in the Dial-in Settings webpage. I was able to manually edit the XML file in the zip container and remove the extra Access Number. I then imported the edited XML zip back to CMS with Import-CsConfiguration.
This is a VERY RISKY procedure and could screw up your entire Lync deployment if it is not done correctly. I would highly suggest opening a case with Microsoft PSS to have them help you solve this issue if you are not familiar with Lync CMS recovery procedures.
If you do attempt to fix it, make sure you have a good export of the CMS and LIS databases to recover from if necessary.

Can I use the number pad to change Spaces in Yosemite like I could in Mavericks?

I'd really like to be able to setup Spaces to use Option-# to changes Spaces in Yosemite like I could in Mavericks. Is there a way to set that up? I've tried everything I could think of. I hate using the Option-Arrow Keys...it was so much more simple in Mavericks. Any help would be appreciated as I use 8-9 different desktops at work, and using the arrows is a pain in the rear end. Thanks!

Can't dial number from a meeting request

As a business user, I find the ability to "touch" a number that is inline in an email very useful. But having a link into my exchange server, I am constantly calling numbers that appear in a meeting request. These are typically livemeeting numbers with 10 digit pins - a real pain to remember the number and the pin! Anyone hear news of an enhancement in the pipeline to take care of this? I guess cut/paste might work, but just making the number touchable would be awesome!

Click View in the toolbar, then choose Show Word Count.The word count appears at the bottom of the page.
Move the pointer over the right side of the word count, then click the arrows to see character and paragraph count.You can choose one of these counts to display it (instead of word count) at the bottom of the page.
But the number of characters is calculated without spaces !

something we seem to have lost in LION is the useful number of items and memory avail or used
at the bottom of windows/drive windows. any way to restore?

Open the Finder menu and set the options:
Finder -> View -> Show Status Bar
and
Finder -> View -> Show Path Bar
and you will see this information again

Dialin ISDN number for TMS Booked conference using Conductor

Is it possible to map a dial-in ISDN number to a booked conference when Cisco Conductor is used for the MCU or Telepresence resource?
For a normal Cisco Codian MCU it is possible to assign a ISDN Gateway DID mapping under Extended Settings. This number will TMS use when setting up a booked conference. But this is not available for a Conductor.

You reinstalled the Apple USB driver and everything listed there? If so, then I suggest that you follow the instructions in this support document to remove and reinstall iTunes. Follow the directions in the support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

Lync Outlook Plug-in displays Region and Language in Meeting Invite only with Lync 2013

I am running Lync 2010 right now and have a some users who are using Office 2013 and Lync 2013 client. When they create an Online Meeting using the plug-in in outlook the meeting invite shows the location and number but also displays the region that number
is coming from along with the Primary Language it is available in. This does not happen with Lync 2010 client and Office 2010. I really don't think the region name and the language is important and it makes the meeting invite look messy. Is there a way to prevent
this globally? Is this what I can expect from Lync 2013, as I am in the process of deploying that now?

Holger is right, that's just the way it is and you can't really change it. You can customize what is seen in the screenshot however. The only thing you can really do is hand edit them, or if it's the dedicated meeting space you could
cut and paste it into a signature and customize it any way you like, but that breaks other things like some of the one-click join functionality.

Would anyone have a SQL Query or a Powershell command that returns a list of all lync conferences setup for the future?

There isn't a SQL query because this isn't stored in Lync. You have dedicated meeting spaces which are conferences that reuse the same conference ID over and over and are always just open. New Outlook calendar invites can be sent for
these. You can also have "new meeting space" which will create a new conference with a fresh ID for you, but the date is set in Outlook and doesn't exist in Lync.
So, what you'll need to do if you want this data is to grant yourself access to all Exchange mailboxes, pull all the calendar items from each mailbox, search to see if your meeting link is in there, and output the data in a format that's pleasing to you.
However, that's going to be an Exchange PowerShell script so you might have better luck in those forums. You might want to search through gallery.technet.Microsoft.com to see if you can find a script that's pretty close and modify it to suit your needs.
