Dialog disappers when DropDown is shown (on top of AcroPDF viewer)

I have a Winform modal form with our home-made ComboBox on it, which functions well usually. My problem is - when this modal form is opened on top of a main form that has an AcroPDF control on it (Adobe's PDF ActiveX), whenever the combo's drop down is displayed, the entire modal form disappears. Clicking the form's area brings the form back to view. Another problem (probably similar) - when hovering a contorl that displays tooltip - whenever the tooltip is displayed, the same thing happens - the modal form disappears
Does anyone have an idea?

Reader window is shown on top of browser window

I'm using Reader as OBJECT tag on HTML page to display PDF inside of my page. That works fine, however when I call Reader's print() method from page onload handler, I get empty Reader window shown on top of my browser window and only then Print dialog comes up. I wonder if there's a way to suppress Reader's window and only show Print dialog? Reader 7 didn't have this, it started with version 8.

Continue to get update dialog even when I have the latest version

I have been on the beta program for quite some time. Over the latest updates (probably at least since FF 4), I get a dialog box when I start FF telling me that an update is available even though I have the latest version. If I select the option to go ahead and do the update. It will hang forever; and not connect to the update server. I have reviewed several articles on this subject including this one [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly] . I have done an extensive search through my directories and cannot find an update folder, an update.xml, or active-update.xml file in any location, especially in the C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox directory or in the install directory. I have even attempted doing a clean install by uninstalling and completely removing the install directory. None of this has worked. I have noted in my search that others seem to have this problem as well. Additionally, I have this problem on both my work and home computers that are running Windows 7. However, I don't have this issue on my Mac. This is an annoyance; but has been going on for way too long and really needs to be addressed.

"Auto leading" is governed by the "Auto leading" percentage in the Justification dialog. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/indesign/cs/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30d2a5051004d659b1c-7fe7a.ht ml for a full discussion (the official Help page...).
It *appears* you want the leading set to 100% of your font size. That is *technically* not a problem, but there are not many fonts that look nice with this. Hence the "120%" default -- neither very good, nor extremely bad. I usually go with about 2 pt above the text point size; but it depends on the font and the font size.

Try 1 of 2 things.
Double tap the Home Button on the iPad > you should see the Dock tray with your apps in > hold on iBooks until you see the app jiggleing with a red circle and white line > tap that red circle > re-opoen iBooks.
If that does not work repeat above but do not open iBooks after you close it, now power off your iPad and turn it back on. You can power it off by holding the power button on top of the device for about 5-10 seconds.

Know when UIElement is shown on screen

Hi there,
So I have a wrap panel with a scrollbar and I'm putting a bunch of controls in them. I would like to perform actions when the controls become visible (are scrolled into view), either just for the first time or any time.
Is there a way to detect when a UI element is either on screen and visible or off screen and not visible?

Unfortunately that code is also not useful for my requirement as it specifically requires that I pass the object in that I want to know is visible or not. If I have a wrappanel with 2000 items in, that would be unusable. I have found an alternative
method of getting the top left item and bottom right item that are in view every time the scroll changes of the parent scroll viewer.

The user control I am inserting is a custom one called an ImageViewer, as in this context I am displaying thumbnails. The code to find an input control at a specific point returns the child controls of this usercontrol so I have a method that walks
the parent stack to find the owner control.
Once I have the indexes of the first and last item in view I can then perform tasks on them as opposed to doing it the second they are added to the control which just adds unnecessary overhead.

Events triggered when the cross on the top-right corner is tapped

I am writing a program for Pocket PC using Personal Profile. I am trying to use WindowListener to make my program do something when the cross on the top-right corner of a frame is tapped. However, neither windowClosing nor windowClosed is triggered. Could anyone give me some hints about doing something when the cross on the top-right corner is tapped?

the answe to this is to use the windowIconified event. This is what is actually trigged when the X is pressed.

A error message pops up when I try to click top singles "see all" saying "Your request could not be completed the item you've requested is not currently available in the US store" when a few minutes ago it allowed me to do so.

Please Run the Cleaner tool to remove Ps CC 2014 :http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html .
Restart your system and then try installing Ps CC 2014 again.

Incomplete print dIalog box when printing PDFs

During the past several weeks, whenever I try to print a PDF, the print dialog box (when Copies & Pages is selected in the pull-down menu) is blank ... I can't select how many copies or which pages to print. This only started happening recently, before that everything was fine. It doesn't matter how the PDF was created ... by OS X, by InDesign, by Photoshop, or arriving in email, the result is the same ... incomplete dialog box. My workaround so far when I want more copies or only certain pages, is to "place" the desired pages in InDesign and do the printing from there ... big pain and not an acceptable long-term alternative.
Anyone know of anything that might have happened with recent software updates?

Karen....I found this thread while looking for some help with the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? I have Acrobat 7 and 8 running on a Mini with 10.4.11 and am having the same problem in Acrobat 7 only, Acrobat 8 behaves fine. When going to the Print dialog, the area below the "Copies & Pages" button is blank. I can change the "Copies & Pages" button to other settings but the dialog box does not hold the change, it reverts back to "Copies & Pages". I have replaced Acrobat 7 without any luck.
