Dialogue box that won't go away

While using Word, it suddenly shutdown, disappeared fromn the screen and a dialogue box appeared: "The application Word quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Reopen t;o open the application again..." The three buttons are "Close", "Report" and "Reopen".
None of the buttons work. There is no way to move the dialogue box. AND, when I shut down the computer and started up again, the dialogue box appeared again - not functioning.
How can I get this dialogue box off my screen?

Developments since posting question:
- The dialogue box can be moved around the screen by dragging on the upper part. But it will not go into Trash.
- I just found and installed a new MS Office 2004 update for resolving the issue: "Word quits unexpectedly when clicking on print."
- That doesn't solve my problem. Word is now quitting when I click on "Save as", and all new work is lost.
What a bummer! Maybe I have to reinstall Office 2004.

Annoying dialogue box that won't disappear

I just updated Snow Leopard to 10.6.4 and it came with an unwanted guest. In the lower right corner of my screen sits a yellow dialogue box that says: "Open as a normal image. Option-click...." It persists in every ap that I run. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

Dialog box that won't go away

Hi,
I received an email from VH1 today (I do receive periodic emails so they are legit) that keeps running a dialog box of "To view this page, you need to log in to area “” on www.vh1-d.mtvi.com:80." And it asks for a login & password. This dialog box will not go away (I've tried a Force Quit & Restart but as soon as I start Mail it starts all over). This appears to 'freeze up' mail because I can see new mail but I cannot access it as the dialog box continually runs in the preview window. I am running 10.5.6. I also have an older G4 PowerBook that received the same email but I did not have any issues with deleting it or any dialog boxes.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I just had the same thing and with the help of my son and husband we were able to open a new mail window, slide the preview window down all the way and then delete the email from vh1. we then restarted the computer and it was gone. Hope this helps

When I use You Tube I get a dialogue box that will not go away.

It says 'Adobe Flash Player Settings'. Then 'Local storage s.ytimg.com is requesting permisission to store information on you computer'. Trouble is I can't Close it or Allow or Deny it. Finally there are two boxes to click. One says not now. If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away. If I click on the second box, Install, it says The software is currently unavailable. To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help. My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can. Help.

Choose system preferences, then under 'Personal' choose 'Universal Access''
You will see a checkbox called 'Voice Over'' (under the seeing tab). Switch this to off.

I FIXED IT.
The issue was a folder name. For some reason, a folder was name Fersions when it should have been called Version. I have no clue why it was named that way, but I named it correctly and the error disappeared.

Is there a way to increase the default size of a dialogue box that does not have re-sizing controls? Specifically the "New Page Reference" box for building an Index. The Index is becoming a little large and I'm having to do a lot of scrolling through the alpha list.

It attempts to re-size dialogs, to cater for larger or smaller fonts (and the reason it is feared by programmers is that it may fail spectacularly). Placing your iPod into recovery mode should allow you to successfully restore the device.
You might see these error messages if any of these are true:
