Diameter

HI All,
In the Inventory Module----> Item Master Data
In the Purchasing Tab or Sales Tab I need a new filed called Diameter how can I incorporate in it. Can I use the Factors available in Purchasing Tab or Sales Tab as Diameter. How can I calculate the Diameter.
Thanks,
Sandy.

Hi Sandy,
I guess I had replied to you about this earlier.....since diameter is physical unit of length you will have to enter the length in Purchsing /Sales tab in Length (On the right hand side) in MM or CM or as the case may be. Now if you want the name of the field to be diameter only you can rename the file by Ctrl+Double Click.This will be only for info.
Also in the Purchase/Sales tab in the item per purchse or item per sales unit you put the value of the diameter. Then the sytem would calculate according to this value.
Now since you requiremnt is that the sytem should calculate in the form yes you can use Factors . I believe there would be different diameters for different items i.e. is different circular object . Now what you can do is create as many items master as there are circular object and enter the dia of each in factor one . Then in the form the system will calculate the quantity ( Length in the form)

  • Can anybody recommend me on the strain gauges which are attached along a steel bar, say, 3 mm in diameter, and can respond at a sampling rate of 100 kHz?

    Or anybody has similar application, it would be very grateful if you can share your experience.

    Many thanks for your information. We are about to investigate the dynamic performance of soil anchorage subject to dynamic impulse in a geotechnical centrifuge. Basically, 5 model anchorages (3 mm in diameter) are to be constructed. Each model anchorage is instrumented with 1 accelerometer, 1 load cell and 6 strain gauges. Therefore, the minimum instrumentation would be
    1) 30 strain gauges
    2) 5 accelerometers
    3) 5 load cells
    It is worth noting that all the instruments would eventually reside in a geotechnical centrifuge operating in a 10g gravitational field. Whilst the DAQ system would experience much less 'g force' since they are to be placed close to the rotation axis of the machine.
    These model anchorages would be tested one by one dyn
    amically on each individual basis, whilst the other four are also preferably to be monitored during the tests. For an active model anchorage which is under testing, simultaneous sampling is preferred for its 8 sensors to be measured at the same instant in time (Besides, it is also understood that the natural frequency of the model anchorage is estimated to be in the range of several kHz). For the other four model anchorages, simultaneous sampling could be less demanding. It would therefore be ideal that simultaneous sampling can be switched among the active testing model anchorages.
    I am greatly appreciated if you can further advise me on this. Thanks in advance.

  • How do i find the diameter of a ring in an image?

    I'm new to Labview, so i dont know how to use Vision Assistant 7.1 to find the diameter of a ring in the following image. Can someone guide me through the steps?

    Hey Mark07,
    You will want to use the Circular Edge (Spoke) Step in order to detect the edge of the circle, and give you a center point to your circle. You will probably have to adjust the parameters of the Circular Edge Setup, such as the Gap and the Edge Strength in order to get a best fit circle. Then you can use some other edge detection Step in order to find a point on the edge of the circle. Then you can use the Caliper Step in order to calculate the distance from the center of the circle to the edge of the circle, and then multiply that value by 2 to get the diameter. Again, remember that the Vision Assistant software is not meant to be run as an executable program, so you can do even more once you get into LabVIEW or whatever software you are using and use the other Vision functions. There are multiple ways you can probably do this, but this is just one suggestion that I can think of. Also, Chilly Charlie did have a good point of getting better lighting to clean up your image, so that when you do process a lot of these images, it will be easier to find edges and such. Last, a great way to learn the different aspects of the Vision Assistant Steps is to play around with them and see what they do, or you can read the help documentation, but I think hands on is better. Anyways, let me know if you have any questions or concerns about my suggestion. Thanks, and have a great day.

  • (1) Would like to pause syringe pump at certain volume while still collecting diameter data, (2) Would like to delay chart and numerical indicator output until after syringe pump is run

    Hello:
    I am using Labview to control a New Era Pump Systems automatic syringe pump and to record diameter measurements from a LaserMike optical comparator. My program is fully functional, the code is attached with all auxilliary files in the NE-50X folder. I mostly understand my program, I used drivers for the NE-50X pump found on the NI website to build my code and added to it as needed. My program currently does the following:
    After I push the white Run button, I am prompted for a file name. After I enter one, Labview begins collecting data from the LaserMike and syringe pump and outputs them to their respective numerical indicators and waveform charts. Then I can change the syringe pump flow rate and syringe diameter on the front panel. Once I push the green RUN button on the front panel, the syringe pump runs, and the balloon diameter vs. syringe volume XY graph begins to record. I can then reverse the direction of the pump and/or pause the pump however many times I like, while Labview still records diameter from the LaserMike. Pushing the red STOP button on the front panel terminates the program and stops the pump.
    Here are three things I would like to change about my program that I don't know how/what to do:
    1) I would like the LaserMike and syringe pump to output to their respective numerical indicators and charts only AFTER the green RUN button on the front panel has been pushed and the pump is running.
    2) I would like to be able to pause the syringe pump at two specific volumes while Labview continues to collect data from the LaserMike. I do not mind if I would have to push RUN to manually restart the program. I just want the pump to stall for a few seconds once the syringe pump dispenses a certain volume without the program terminating.
    3) I would like the program to terminate once a certain volume has been dispensed. I would also like the syringe pump to return to zero, its starting position, after each test so that each test is identical.
    If anyone has ideas about how to do any of these three things, your help is greatly appreciated.

    1.  You can set a boolean value when the Run button is pressed and use that boolean value to determine whether or not your indicator is updated.
    2.  You check the value of your syringe volume every loop iteration and pause the pump if a certain value is reached.  You can have the program wait for the user to press a button to restart.  You can also have it pause for a period of time and continue automatically.
    3.  Just like #2, you can wait for a certain value and stop the overall loop once that value has been reached.
    Your program is an excellent candidate for event handling.  I have attached a link to a tutorial.

  • I have a white round spot about one inch in diameter on my monitor; how can i get rid of it?

    I have a white spot, about one inch in diameter, on my iMac monitor.  It does not go away even after I restart the computer.  What is the cause and how do I get rid of it?

    It has now disappered after I had shut down the computer.  It was opaque and oval.  All applications so it must have been a monitor problem.  Thanks.

  • WLC 5500 support for Diameter protocol?

    We have been having issues with wireless user authentication (sessions start/die). Multiple authentications are sometimes needed for end users to connect. We use 802.1x to Microsoft Radius in server 2008 R2, and it's flaky. I've read up on the Diameter protocol, and it looks like it would be very good to use. However, our WLC 5508's only support the normal (and very old UDP version) of Radius.
    Does Cisco plan on enhancing the software to be able to support Diameter in the future?

    That is something you would need to ask your Cisco SE about. I haven't heard anything regarding future support for that, but that doesn't mean it will not happen.
    Mad far as your current deployment, I have many customers who are using Microsoft IAS and NPS for radius with no issues like what you are having. It's something you need to understand why they are not connecting right away. Many times it can be how the WLAN is configured or driver related issues.

  • Sometimes when I open PS CC 2014 the brush previews don't show minimum diameter, the previews all have uniform size

    How can I fix this? Sometimes just restarting PS does the trick, but sometimes it doesn't. It makes it difficult to choose brushes, I have to test them first to see what their minimum diameter really is.

    I too, have many of the same problems: constantly reminded to "Install" the apps I have already done so (and paid for); Market Assets asks for me to become a paid member (I am); Adobe Bridge is missing from the apps page. I have reinstalled CC several times. Frustrating is the kindest word I can say--I seem to spend more time reading the "help" and discussion boards rather than working on photos. Dear Adobe, wake up and give us some solutions here! I too, have been using Adobe PS for years and UGH! CC is a mess and truly a bad experience for me! I apologize to the user above (RGMeyer) I could not be helpful, rather I am only adding fuel to your frustration.

  • In PS-CC, Brush diameter jumps from 508px to 1048px...

    In PS-CC, the Brush diameter scale jumps from 508px to 1048px as I am dragging the slider. I have to type in a size I need above 508px whereas my older PS versions had a smooth scaler. Can I get back to the older PS brush slider?
    Is there a setting I'm not seeing?

    Are you sampling near the frame edge, and that is what you are seeing as a hard edge?
    Does this edge follow the shape of the brush?  What are you seeing in the Brush panel?  You can use all the same brushes with the Clone tool as you can with the Brush tool, and some of those have weired and wonderful settings.
    Are you using a mouse or tablet?  Maybe something is set to Pen Pressure that is causing the issue.
    What you see in the preview at the bottom of the brush panel is what you should get.

    Hello.
    I have some suggestions for the image processing component of your application. I have attached a Vision Assistant script to this post (Vision Assistant 7.1) which performs essentially the following steps. These steps could be followed in any programming environment and should yield decent results:
    Extract the Luminance plane from the RGB image (simply to get it into 8-bit mono format for the thresholding. Could be done with a color threshold VI).
    Threshold the image so that the bright components are left and the dark is set to 0.
    Perform a particle filter to remove the particles that are too large (the surrounding area).
    Perform a particle analysis on the remaining particles, which should be the holes in the
    plate only. Set the particle analysis to return the Location of the 'Center of Mass X' and 'Center of Mass Y,' and the perimeter (diameter).
    This type of processing would allow the plate to be rotated, have different patterns, etc. and you should still be able to get the information about the holes.
    Hope this helps.

  • Dual role of an sslSocket (encrypted mode and plain mode) - Diameter Server

    is it possible to use a sslSocket both as sslSocket and as a plain socket and at the same time?
    Scenario steps:
    1- a server is listening on port 9010
    2- when the server receive a (diameter) protocol msg, it will come to know whether the peer is capable of tls or not. The socket should act as a PLAIN socket here since at this point the server doesn't know about the peer and doesn't want to do handshake and enalbe tls support.
    3- once the server knows (on reading the previous plain text msg) that the peer is capable of TLS then it should enable TLS on the port (handshake initialization???)
    This is because i dont want the server to listen on two different ports? eg. 9010 - for plain msgs and 9012 - for TLS msgs.
    could any one point me to a reference?
    thanks

    Hi ejp,
    thanks for the trick....But i am still having 2 doubts:
    NUMBER 1:
    u can convert only a socket to an sslsocket and NOT a serverSocket to sslServerSocket....
    here is my main method
    secureRandom.nextInt();
    ksMyKey.load(new FileInputStream(serverKsLoc), serverStorePass.toCharArray());
    ksTrusted.load(new FileInputStream(clientKsLoc), clientsStorePass.toCharArray());
    kmFactory.init(ksMyKey,serverKeyPass.toCharArray());
    tmFactory.init(ksTrusted);
    sslContext.init(kmFactory.getKeyManagers(), tmFactory.getTrustManagers(), secureRandom);
    //actually i was using this sslSerSoc before ur suggestion
    SSLServerSocketFactory sslSerSocFac = sslContext.getServerSocketFactory();
    SSLServerSocket sslSerSoc = (SSLServerSocket) sslSerSocFac.createServerSocket();
    //NOW I AM USING THIS....
    ServerSocket plainSerSoc= ServerSocketFactory.getDefault().createServerSocket();
    SocketAddress _address=new InetSocketAddress("193.101.147.49", 9012);
    plainSerSoc.bind(_address);
    while(true){
    //accept connections
                        System.out.println("waiting for client connection...");
                        Socket socketToClient = plainSerSoc.accept();
    //reload trusted entries
    ksTrusted.load(new FileInputStream(clientKsLoc), clientsStorePass.toCharArray());
    tmFactory.init(ksTrusted);
    sslContext.init(kmFactory.getKeyManagers(), tmFactory.getTrustManagers(), secureRandom);
    if(socketToClient!=null){
                   ServerProcessorThread sp = new ServerProcessorThread(socketToClient, plainSerSoc, sslContext);
                   sp.start();
    ..........and the serverProcessorThread's run method is given below and the problem is with "_sslContext.getSocketFactory().createSocket(_plainServerSocket," which expects a socket and not a serverSocket
    public void run(){
    try {
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(_socketToClient.getInputStream()));
    String str;
    while((str=br.readLine())!=null){
    System.out.println("Received: "+str);
    if(str.equalsIgnoreCase("bye")){
    System.out.println("Closing connection.");
    _socketToClient.close();
    break;
    else if (str.equalsIgnoreCase("enableTLS")) {
    InetSocketAddress socToCliAdd= (InetSocketAddress) _socketToClient.getRemoteSocketAddress();
    _sslContext.getSocketFactory().createSocket(_plainServerSocket, socToCliAdd.getHostName(), socToCliAdd.getPort(), true);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    .....NUMBER 2:
    Currently i am using the sslContext to create a sslServerSocketFactory and then a sslServerSocket. I have fed the sslContext with certain keyManagers(keySotres) and TrustManagers(trustStores) (I am not going to use the default cacerts that comes with JSSE).
    When I create a sslcontext as u have suggested (SocketFactory().createSocket(_plainServerSocke......), then how to feed that particular socket with a spefic trustManagers and keyManagers.... since different threads will run based on different key/trustManagers
    could you pls point me to some resources?
    Thanks

  • Why is my brush diameter not working??

    No matter what tool I'm using, when I change the diameter or size of my brush, it doesn't show me the apparent difference in size. Usually there is like a ring or circle that changes size that hovers over the mouse cursor to show the difference in brush size. But, it just remains the same size and I can't see how big or small my brush is when Im using it. It doesn't matter how much I'm zoomed in or out, either. I tried restarting my program as well. Im using Photoshop Elements 9. Please help!

  • Making a circle selection and then changing it into a 1 inch diameter

    First let me say that I am new to CS5 not much experience in using any photo software.
    I would like to take a picture and make a circular selection around it (not sure how to do that) and after I have seleceted it reduce the selection to a 1 inch diameter but I need the picture to still look good once I print it and by that I mean photo quality.
    Gracias

    There are lots of ways to get things done in Photoshop.  Here are some possibilities:
    Select the Ellipse Selection Tool.  Click the mouse and hold down the Shift key while dragging to force the selection to be perfectly circular.  You can move the selection after it's made by clicking inside it and dragging, while the Ellipse Selection Tool is still active, or by pressing the arrow keys to do fine tuning.
    Are you trying to create a circular print that you can cut out and put into something (e.g., a watch or locket)?  If so, you might want to do a Select - Inverse and Edit - Clear (aka delete) the surroundings.
    You could then use the Image - Trim function to crop the image to reduce the pixel dimensions of the image to just encompass the remaining circular portion.
    You'll be able to use Image - Image Size with the Resample option unchecked to set the size you want for printing.
    Make sure you don't save over your original image when you save the resultant file back out (i.e., use File - Save As instead of File - Save).
