DICOM packaged application install error - XDB schema error
Hi, I have worked through the install readme for the DICOM packaged application and on installing the DICOM_demo_installer.sql supporting objects I get an error when trying to create the table dicom_archive
ORA-31000: Resource 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/ord/meta/dia_demo' is not an XDB schema document
Any pointers appreciated.

Where are you trying to install this packaged application (DB Version, DB Edition (EE / SE / SE1 / XE), DB Options, localhost / hosted environment)?
There are specific requirements specified in the readme.txt file provided in the zip file.
There are very specific installation instructions also provided in the readme.txt file.
Unlike most packaged applications this one requires various scripts be run prior to installing the actual application into APEX.
So could you please specify the steps taken to get to this error.

Can you give us more information? As in, what error do you get and when does it appear?
The steps to install the packaged samples are:
- Unzip the packaged application to a .sql file
- In APEX, go to Home > Application Builder > Import and select the .sql file, then follow the steps in the wizard.

Help,
I've installed the Online Discussion Forum Packaged Application 0.91 in a 10.2.0.2 database. When I post a message it put the message in the ODF_THREAD and user info in the ODF_USERTHREAD tables. When I reply to a thread page 8 displays correctly, BUT when I press the "Post Message" button I get an ORA_00600,internal error code, arguments ERROR. Does anybod have any ideas?

Since last two weeks I am unable to update my applications installed in iPad with iOS 6. Also no new app is getting installed. Installation icon appears but after some time error message "unable to connect iTunes " appears.Can some one guide me to solve this problem please?
I've had similar problems. Whenever I try and update apps on the iPhone, the app would apparently download ok, but then not install. This didn't happen with new apps - only ones I was updating.
I got around the issue by downloading the update in iTunes on my Mac, then deleting the app from the phone, then syncing. The problem with this method is that certain apps had saved settings which are lost when following this method.
However... I seem to have fixed the issue after 2 months of trying.
I followed the advice of this page:

Then I repaired disk permissions and finally I completely erased and restored my iPhone BEFORE I synced it after the moving of the Mobile Applications folder.

HELP! - Can't update Adobe Air Apps - Application Install Error
I have several Adobe Air Apps on my Mac OSX (10.9.4) MackBook Pro. They won't update due to the following Install Error.
"The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem. The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid. Please contact the application author."
Following the above instructions, I've been contacting the authors of my Adobe Air Apps and they are telling me that it is not their problem. The Apps should simply update without difficulty.
I searched the "Google" and found no fix other than uninstall and reinstall Adobe Air. Did this and the problem persists.
If you can help me get beyond this issue and back to productivity, I'd be very appreciative.

DavidI had a similar problem when trying to install Zinio.air. I have made it all work out. What i did was remove Adobe Air 15 entirely from the Utiliites and Library/ accounts and preferences. I then downloaded Adobe Air 13 and installed and then clicked on Zinio .air and it all installed ok. I also had to temporarily change security settings from Apple approved to Anywhere. All functioning now.

Bug Tracker Packaged application installation Error.

Error Installing Packaged Applications - Apex 5

It then includes a lot more create, etc. statements that failed.
I wonder if it is some kind of permissions issue? I ended up running @apxremov.sql and reinstalled apex 5 again after I couldn't get the package apps to work the first time but that didn't fix anything. I have attached a text file that has all the code from the error message.
The database I installed to is an Oracle 12c Enterprise database.
It had Oracle Apex 4.2.6 installed on it with many packaged apps (not really using them, just trialing them till 5 came out). I ran @apxremov.sql before installing Apex 5.
Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Looking at the error file, it appears that APEX is trying to "upgrade" an existing Data Reporter instance rather than do a fresh install. It's possible (I haven't checked the code) that apexremov.sql doesn't run the packaged applications through their deinstall process, and so their supporting objects may still be present within your schema. I'd suggest removing any objects (especially tables & packages) with a name like 'EBA_DP_%' from your parsing schema, and then trying the install again.

Looks like apex.oracle.com has been upgraded to 4.2.1. When did this happen?
I am almost positive that I was able to install packaged apps on apex.oracle.com even when it was on 4.2.0.00.27 (same as the publicly available version) but not on my instance. But now since the versions are different, the support person is pointing to the different versions as a cause! This is what I was afraid of. To be honest, given that I was getting the error on my instance but not on apex.oracle.com, even when both systems (mine and apex.oracle.com) was on the same version of APEX, I am not very hopeful that the 4.2.1 patch will fix my situation since the root cause has not been identified. I just don't want to wait for 4.2.1 to be released, apply it and find out that the issue is still there. Can you share the list of bugs fixed in 4.2.1 to see if any of them may apply to this situation?
Any other ideas? What diagnostics can I provide to help you get to the bottom of this? Frankly, Oracle Support, as I found in the past, is not very well qualified to resolve APEX-related SRs. Can you please assist or direct Support appropriately? Thanks, appreciate your help.
Since I have the Builder app installed in my instance, I inspected the final page of the packaged app install wizard (4000:83) to see what APIs it uses and ran it manually as SYSTEM. This is what I get. Does that help narrow down the issue?

proceed through following steps
1.unzip the olaptrain schema
2.change tha name olaptrain_home (unzipped
directory name to *[install_home]*.
3.copy the *[install_home]* folder to the

for example suppose your oracle 11gr2 database
location is
*" D:\app\karuna\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database"*
then copy your *[install_home]* folder into the
above directory folder.so location of your
[install_home] should also be
"D:\app\karuna\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database\[install_home]"
4.now open cmd
go to the directory where u have copied
the[install_home]
ex:- cd D:\app\karuna\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database\[install_home]\olaptrain_install
that was in my case
5.now login to sqlplus
ex:-type sqlplus in cmd
login as dba
ex:- system/password as sysdba
then it will ask u for the directory
so directory name should be the same where
u have kept the [olaptrain_schema]
in my case it was
Directory: *D:\app\karuna\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database\[install_home]\olaptrain_install*
the directory address ws given by me...
u can see here its location is same as the
location where i have copied olaptrain
schema.
6.then it wl prompt for password
password can be anything u want.
and voila installation
started....................
now building olaptrain cubes
7. @create_olaptrain_cubes
install directory should be same as sbove
8.password same as above
installation started...

I get an apple application support error when installing itunes. It says uninstall and re-install. Does not work. same message. What is a solution?
Is that an error 2 message?
If so, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

Error occurred while packaging application: fails to run on iOS device...
I am building a project in Apple Mavericks using FlashBuilder 4.7 using AIR SDK 3.9 and Flash Player 11.9.
The project is plugin project that builds and runs for android in the AIR simulator as well as on the device (so far so good)… it also builds and runs for iOS in the Xcode simulator but fails on the device… I have checked and double checked to make sure that my certificate (p12) and provisioning profile are correct and have also confirmed that the Application descriptor correctly mirrors the app ID (in flash builder as well as in the provisioning profile). I have allowed System Events in the Security & Privacy setting in Mavericks.
If I try to build and run for the device… after a few minutes it fails with a message… “Exception occurred during launch Reason: Error occurred while packaging application:” without any detailed information.
If I try to “Export Release Build” it fails after a few minutes with message… “Error occurred while packaging application: Id: framework not found UIKit Compilation failed while executing : Id64” Even though I know UIKit was included in the Xcode project when I started and UIKit is (I thought) automatically included by Flash Builder!
Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? Error in compiling and running a packaged application
Hi all,
I am new to java and studying alone java from sun's site.Now i am going through sun's step by step programming.From there i got a packaged Application named DiveLog which i wrote and saved in divelog directory in jdk1.2.2which is in C directory.
