Have you tried turning it off and then on in System Preferences? Restarted the computer?

It could be because you have Firefox set to not remember any history. Did you do that intentionally? It is set in the Options dialog:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
Perhaps it would work if you choose "Use custom settings for history" and just turn off the specific things you want to turn off.

Mozilla worked-now it won't start, nor will Profile Manager
1. Mozilla worked on Sunday but won't open on Monday - Error Message from Windows 7- "Firefox has Stopped Working".
2. Rebooted and then Deleted and Reloaded upgrade -Mozilla fails to open.
3. Reset Windows to earlier date ( one month ago) -Mozilla fails to Open.
4. Loaded complete version of Mozilla but failed to open.
4. Tried to Open Profile Manager using ; Windows key + R with the full 64 Bit Windows Address ( C: \Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -p -failed to Open
5. Profile Manager opens and then immediately fails with Windows 7 message "Firefox has Stopped Working"
6. I use Vipre antivirus which has latest antivirus updates-did a full scan-no reported viruses other than cookies.
7. Checked firewall in settings of Vipre and added Firefox as a permitted program.
8. I am concerned that if I go into Safe mode I may inadvertently damage the operating Windows Program-I am not a computer technician and wish to do no harm to the system.
9. I have run out of ideas-Do you have a solution -PLEASE!Once you click the 'Show Folder' button, a Windows Explorer window will open.
With Firefox closed, go up one folder and then you can simply '''copy/paste '''( don't drag ) the folder (should be named along the lines of *alphanumeric string*.default) to the desktop. And/or drag to another hard drive - '''it's good to have 2 copies, for safety'''.

You can copy extensions back, but the only irreplaceable items (imo) are bookmarks and passwords. But that's just my preference.
Of course, Firefox's problems ''could'' be a symptom of larger issues like, virus/malware or failing hard drives etc. Running a an AV and Malware scan couldn't hurt and checking Windows Event Viewer for system and application faults (take note of the times when you tried to open Firefox and check corresponding entries. -
CS3 stopped working - now it won't reinstall...

I have had CS3 on my Vista computer since 2007 (and reloaded my computer a couple of times and successfully reinstalled CS3). I don't use it much nowadays, but went to use last year and I had an error message saying that I needed to uninstall and reinstall. This was same when I tried every program in the package. So, I uninstalled and now I cannot get it to reinstall properly. All it installs is Adobe Acrobat 8 and shared components. I gave up in the end last year, but I am attempting to get it working again now...

I've tried every option there is in the Adobe Support Advisor under Config and Diagnose. I can't see any option to choose CS3 specifically, unless I choose a specific file - which one would that be? All that returns in the results is the failed attempt I mentioned above, to install CS5.
What is a token number? Is it the error message? The number and message I'm getting for CS5 is: cpsid_83572r4: Error committing command when installing - Creative Suite 5.5

Bluetooth Dongle Stopped Working - Now Keyboard Won't Pair With New Dongles
Hi All,
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be massively grateful.
I've been using an old dlink usb bluetooth adapter with my 2007 8 core Mac Pro running OS X 10.6.2. This had been working with my old style bluetooth mac keyboard (the white one with the number panel).
Recently the dongle stopped working (the lights went out and it wouldn't come back to life). I've bought 2 new dongles (HK-760 USB 2.0 & Belkin Mini Bluetooth Adapter) and neither of these seem to connect to the keyboard in Bluetooth Setup Assistant. I get this message: 'The pairing attempt was unsuccesful. This configuraton of Mac OS X and Bluetooth software could be invalid or unsupported.'
I took the keyboard to the Mac Store and it connected to an iMac there, so figure it's not the keyboard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Update: I tried to link the keyboard to my old G3 which it used to work with no problems an it took ages to link up and then on restart wouldn't link up. I'm thinking it might be a faulty old keyboard that died of a broken heart when the bluetooth dongle passed away. Poor thing

Everything is going nuts. and now it won't play music, won't sync. help!
I really need your help. You see I own an 80gb ipod classic. And I bought a bunch of new songs on iTunes yesterday so I want to add them. I tried syncing it but it won't add the songs, instead it messed them all up. The songs that were already added either have a messed up art work, don't play, freeze my ipod or only play halfway. I have bought at least 90% of my music from iTunes so the files aren't damaged.
I really need to fix this, because now not even the hard disk will work and I have over 15gb of valuable content in there. So I need all the help i can get to solve this problem. Help me please!so I restored it, it took a lot since I had so many files to save.
and even if i restored it nothing works.

My recently installed (Windows 8.1) Acrobat Pro (part of CS6) suddenly stopped working - now it won't start.
This happened on Windows 7 in 2012 and was eventually fixed.
Any advice on what I should do? [I can't find where to post a question to the adobe help people]
- DuncanWell, the computer stopped starting up at all. It could never find the operating system. I tried safe mode and virtually every other non-standard start-up option. I then did target disk mode with another MBP and got the message: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." I then tried using disk utility and it couldn't retrieve retrieve the data using restore (writing to an external drive). I suspect that this means the hard drive would need to be replaced. In your expert opinions, is this necessarily true? Could this still be just a software problem, or perhaps some other piece of hardware?
Part of the reason I ask is that this laptop is now nearly five years old. It's needed a new battery for two years. If it's a virtual certainty that the hard drive is toast, I don't want to pay $150 for someone to take it out and try to recover any remaining data from it, only to reveal that the data is indeed irretrievable (since the computer itself is probably only worth $300-400 at this point). The nearest Genius Bar is also more than 2 hours away. Am I going about this the right way by using disk utility, given that the hard drive won't mount to the desktop of the other computer? If the hard drive can't be reat in target disk mode, does that confirm that it is the hard drive?

Oh also, it does still make the startup noise, even though I can't run the AHT since I can't get it to start up in safemode. I thought this mean that it passing various hardware tests. Does this not apply to the hard drive?

I've just updated my iPhone to the new iPhone OS and now it won't work and iTunes won't recognise that it's there. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice and it's not working. Please help.
I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -
I've upgraded to OS 10.8.2 and my Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 Speakers were working fine until today, and now they won't play any sound at all, even though iTunes shows the audio is playing. I've tried both the headphone jack and the USB port. Please help! I don't want to have to be stuck using my internal speakers!

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

After going through all the troubleshooting suggestions and also uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, it still won't work. To begin with it was fading out and a 'not responding' notice appeared on the header, with the pointer turning to the timer but nothing was happening. It's been working well for ages and I haven't added anything or deleted anything recently, so can't understand why it should suddenly stop working.
I've followed all the troubleshooting advice and disabled the plug ins, also removed a lot of the add ons, still didn't work. Then I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Now it won't even open. A window comes up saying it has crashed and giving me the option to re-start it or quit it. If I click re-start, it won't re-start.
I've even started it in safe mode but that won't stay open either, it opens for about a minute then just closes.

I have a new iMac and iPhone 4.0. All software is up to date and I have installed the free beta version of Mountain Lion which let me use iChat on my computer. Safari intermittently stops working. Mail won't access my mailboxes if Safari is running. Now iTunes won't find my iPhone when it's locked and in a dock charging. If I restart I can do 1 thing at a time, but I can't have Safari running and use Mail. I've emptied my cache, checked my passwords. It's none of that. By process of elimination, there is some kind of conflict between using multiple applications on the Internet at the same time. Sometimes after I've gone to several Internet sites Safari will stop working properly even though all other applications have been "quit".
Oops. You installed the beta Mountain Lion on your main hard disk? Usually most people install it on a secondary or external hard drive. Your situation should actually be posted on the Developer web site for Moutnain Lion and not here. All I can suggest here is to run repair permissions and restart. Sorry.

I pretty much stated it in my question. I dropped my iPad and now it won't boot itself up. The apple symbol shows up, then the screen turns all black and weird looking with a strange green color at the bottom, and just turns off. It keeps doing this over and over. What happened and is there a way to fix it? I also tried connecting it to itunes and that doesn't seem to be working. It detects an ipad but can't seem to read anything else. It tells me to try and restore it but I can't. HELP!!!
Try this. It worked for a few users after a drop.
Turn the iPad over and give it a very HARD slap on the back. May take several slaps.

Running an old MacBook Pro 2.5ghz core 2 Duo. Battery went chemical meltdown and expanded out of its housing. Removed it and was running off the power cord. This worked for a while. Now it won't start up. Have a Replacement on order. Is there a bigger issue or does a battery need to be in the compartment to boot up? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
