Dictionary error message

In Microsoft Word for Mac, I keep getting an error message that says the custom dictionary is not available. Sometimes it lets me add new words to my custom dictionary and sometimes it doesn't (using another error message about either the dictionary is full or my word contains incompatible something or other. Anyone know how to fix this?

Mr. New Person:
I am going to have to once again assume that you are using Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac since you are keeping the version a secret LOL.
To correct your issue please read what is posted [HERE|http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=460888] and follow the instructions until your issue has been addressed and resolved.

  • I want to install Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary in my laptop but each time i tried, I received an error message "nspr4.dll in missing". Any solution?

    I want to install Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary in my laptop but each time i tried, I received an error message "nspr4.dll in missing". What should I do to solve this problem as I am desparate to install it because I need it very much.

    Nspr4.dll error message might appear while using or installing certain programs.
    Nspr4.dll error are caused by situations that lead to the removal or corruption of the nspr.dll files and in some cases , nspr4.dll error could also indicate a registry problem
    follow the following steps.
    1. Download nspr4.dll flie from a reliable source
    2.open thee file location of program(eg. C:\Program Files\Oxford Dictionary)
    3.Drag the downloaded nspr4.dll file to the above file location
    4.Now Launch the program

  • Main spell dictionary installation error message

    When I run spellcheck (check spelling) within AppleWorks 6, I get the error message, "The main spell dictionary is not installed." I don't remember doing anything that would impact the spell dictionary, and spellcheck is working as I enter this meesage (the last typo is underlined in red).
    What's up? Do I need to install a spell dictionary, and if so how?
    Thanks.

    Here's the post. Kappy's about as knowledgeable as one gets here.
    It will work but is not fully compatible. So there will be a few issues sometimes.
    I don't use AppleWorks6 much anymore cause Pages is so much easier to use for me.

  • Clear the webdynpro error messages in Dictionary serach help window

    Hi ,
       I have a search help attached to one of the table column in table control. In the On Enter event of search help i am trowing some error messages. I am using Dictionary standard search help....
    On enter event is working fine.  My issue is when some error messages are thrown in the webdynpro view those messages are also displaying in the search help window. Whatever may be the message is showing in the webdynpro view at runtime all those messages are getting displayed when i open a searchhelp  in the table control.
    How can i clear those messages ? When its standard searchhelp where can i write the code to clear the webdynpro meesages.
    Could anybody suggest me on this....?
    Thanks & Regards
    Sireesha...

    Hi Sireesha,
    As far as I know there is no direct way to track the event of F4 window opened, so that we can clear the messages...
    Below is one solution.
    WD Standard fires an event when ever a window is opened in the application.
    The event that is fired is CL_WDR_WINDOW->IF_WD_WINDOW~WINDOW_OPENED
    This is an instance event. Please follow the below steps to handle this event
    1) Store the message manager reference in a class as a Static variable
    2) Create a Event handler for all instances (A Static event handler will suffice)
    3) Give importing parameter Sender (it will be automatically identified by the class builder and the corresponding CL_WDR_WINDOW reference will be populated into this at runtime)
    4) Now use the below code to clear the messages
      DATA lcl_window_ref TYPE REF TO cl_wdr_internal_window.
      TRY.
          lcl_window_ref ?= sender.
       CATCH cx_sy_move_cast_error.
          RETURN.
      ENDTRY.
      IF lcl_window_ref->is_value_help = abap_true.
        CALL METHOD gr_wd_msg_mgr->clear_messages
          EXPORTING
            including_permanent_msg = abap_true.
      ENDIF.
    below is how u can set the handler
    Assuming handler method is clear_msgs_on_f4wd_window_open
       SET HANDLER clear_msgs_on_f4wd_window_open FOR ALL INSTANCES.
    Please let me know if you need more help
    Thanks,
    Anand

  • Report Error Message in BPM Alert?

    Hi,
    I designed a BPM with a transformation step and a send step. For each step I have an exception branch where I want to trigger an alert, when something goes wrong.
    I already configured in TC ALRTCATDEF an alert category (Dynamic Text activated). And I made an container operatinon with folloing control step, where I for example report the message ID.
    But, going through the blogs and threads I didn't find the information, how I can report the exact error message, the error category (and in case of the send step the adapter and the adapter error text) to the alert. How can I get this data to put it into a container variable?
    Can anybody give me some information about that?
    Thanks in advance
    Dominic
    System: PI 7.0 SP15

    You can use the below information for raising an Alert for adapters.
    Specific Error Information from the Adapter Engine:
    Container Element
    ABAP Dictionary Data Type
    Meaning
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_TYPE
    CHAR70
    Adapter type
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT
    CHAR70
    Error text from the Adapter Engine

  • Error Message Creating Site Template

    Hello,
    When I go to Site Actions --> Site Settings --> Site Actions --> Save site as template, I receive an error message. I have asked several people to help me out with this, but I have received paths to find the ULS and locate the issue with the message.
    Instead I went to Galleries --> Solutions. When I went to 'Activate' the page, I viewed the following error message:
    Feature definition with Id 8a754d6e-e081-4d24-bfb8-7e4a7c5136f8 failed validation, file '1ProjectCharterListInstances\ElementsFields.xml', line 3166, character 82: The 'BdcField' attribute is not allowed.
    I have gone to Central Administration -->Manage Service Applications--> Business Data Connectivity Service Application, but this is where ECT's were created and there were no ECT's created for this project. I even tried re-creating the site on a Parent
    Level and I still received the same error message. I have gone to \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\XML, per another person having a similar issue here on MSDN, but I have no Idea where to go from here.
    I see there is a 'BDCMetadata' and a 'BDCMetadataResource' files that will open up in Visual Studio.
    Someone else told me that I need to go to 14/TEMPLATE/FEATURES, went there too, but I have no clue what I am looking for. Someone else told me that I
    needed to check c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\14\logs, and I
    did and see the log and am trying to view it for why the issue may have arisen.
    I am still new to SharePoint and any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I Fetch the error message from a OAF page

    Hi,
    A confirmation message is coming on the page,I want to catch the error message and depending on its value want to add some validation.
    Is that possible to fetch the error message from the page?

    is it a confirmation message or an error message ?
    Code in the OAF page would be raising an OAException with a message name defined in message dictionary.
    you would need to look at the code to understand where this is thrown from and add your validation there.

  • Error message handling in BAPI...

    Hi Guys,
    I am working on documentation of a BAPI used SAP insurance module. Now I want to see all the error messages associated/ handled in that BAPI. How can I do that ? Is there a table in data dictionary where I can see error messages handled by a given Function module/ BAPI?
    Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Tushar.

    Hi,
    here´s one possible solution:
      CALL FUNCTION 'MESSAGES_INITIALIZE'.
      LOOP AT it_return_bapi.
        CALL FUNCTION 'MESSAGE_STORE'
             EXPORTING
                  arbgb          = it_return_bapi-id

                  msgv3          = it_return_bapi-message_v3
                  msgv4          = it_return_bapi-message_v4
                  txtnr          = it_return_bapi-number
                  zeile          = ' '
             EXCEPTIONS
                  message_type_not_valid  = 1
                  not_active              = 2
                  OTHERS                  = 3.
      ENDLOOP.
      CALL FUNCTION 'MESSAGES_STOP'
           EXCEPTIONS
                a_message = 04
                e_message = 03
                i_message = 02
                w_message = 01.
      IF NOT sy-subrc IS INITIAL.
        CALL FUNCTION 'MESSAGES_SHOW'
             EXPORTING
                  i_use_grid         = 'X'

  • InDesign won't start (PC) Plug-in conflict error message

    Hi, I'd really appreciate some help with this problem detailed below. Please note that i do not have the option to uninstall and reinstall the program. My disc is on a boat - I sent it snail mail back to Ireland from Australia. I am doing a graphic design course online so it's essential that I get this working again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance for your assistance.
    PROBLEM: I cannot open Adobe InDesign. It displays one of two error messages
    "The InDesign.exe plug-in conflicts with InDesign.exe. Try removing one of the two plug-ins from the Plug-Ins folder and restart InDesign"
    OR now more often:
    "This programme has stopped working and that Windows is checking for a solution... ... ... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    There are a range of errors in the AMT launch log (see below) however I don't know what they mean or how to proceed. Tried to search on the forum but it's all a bit over my head at this stage.
    Here's the status on the troubleshooting I attempted based on the Adobe help information
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-launch-issues-problems-cs5.html
    temporarily disabled plugins - COMPLETED / PROBLEM PERSISTS
    recreated preferences (manual) - COMPLETED / PROBLEM PERSISTS
    disable compatibility mode - COMPLETED / was not on compatibility mode
    disabled start-up items and services - COMPLETED / PROBLEM PERSISTS
    login with different account - NOT COMPLETE (there's only one account and it's an admin account)
    delete all adobefnt*lst.files - COMPLETED / PROBLEM PERSISTS
    troubleshoot font issues - COMPLETED/ PROBLEM PERSISTS
    update video card driver - NOT COMPLETE (don't see how this is relevant to the problem)
    search knowledge base - COMPLETED/ couldn't find any more relevant information
    use Adobe Support Advisor - NOT COMPLETED (it says this is for installation failure so doesn't seem relevant)
    viewed AMT launch log COMPLETED / "no value for key" items detected (see below for full script) (I have no idea what any of it means. some of it seems to refer to expiry date - please note that this is a student version purchased in 2013 and only installed on this computer) (checked the list of launch log errors and couldn't see any matching info: (Installation, launch log errors | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CCM)
    ALSO: attempted to update Adobe InDesign with with the 8.0.2 Update directly from the Adobe site: but the follow error message shows when I try to apply the updates: "Update Failed. Updates could not be applied. Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Download and install a new copy..." Instead I found the original Application Manager (UpdateInstaller) in the Program Files, opened this and it successfully Identified and downloaded the updates.
    AMT Result (Note: the error message did not mention plug-in conflict in this instance)

  • Ecc 6.0 Abap Dictionary error in SCCL

    I am coping client from 000 into newly created client in my new ECC 6.0
    environment.I am taking SAP_ALL as my client copy profile.
    BUt in my client copy it is giving me "dictionary error" for more then
    100 tables. Can you please explain me that.I am able to execute ME21 or
    ME51n in my 000 and 001 but it is giving me "Table not configure" error
    in newly copied client.
    From my analysis of the source and target clients it would appear that
    the client copy completed successfully.
    On both the source and target you will see the entries are identical.
    check on both the database object and the run-time object. The
    same problems exist on each client. If there is an error/problem in
    the source client, this is going to be copied over to the target client
    You need to rectify these problems in the source client before copying
    over to the target client.
    If we check SE14
    SE14 > Obj. name: A001 > click the 'Edit' button > Extras >
    > Database object > Check
    Table is not created in the database
    Runtime Object is Consistent
    Those warnings refers to several tables, and the message for all of
    them is "DDIC Error (See SE14)". It means that all those tables are not
    consistent, or do not exits at database level. Therefore, that problem
    affect not only to the target client 100, but also to client 000.
    What i think is
    Problm is with support patches... as i have same system which is D11
    (DEV) without any patches, and i did client copy in that. everything
    went good. no dictionary error.

    Hello Nish,
    Have you done SGEN already?
    Anyways first try this out Check through SE11 if the  tables exist in the new client. For example check for A001. If it shows up there try to activate the table and see if you get any errors. Let us know the results.
    Regards.
    Ruchit.

  • Core dump when starting extract, no error messages

    Hello,
    This is a basic one way replication, Data Pump and Replicat start but Extract stops at once.
    In ggserr.log there's only a message: EXTRACT EORATE02 starting, nothing else. In ggsci it can be seen that it's stopped.
    CHECKPARAMS didn't give the message "Parameters processed successfully", neither did it give error messages
    when starting the extract.
    There are no old Oracle processes which could prevent Extract from starting.
    There's EORATE02.pce in dirpcs, although EORATE02 is not running. If I delete it and try to start the extract,
    the extract will immediately stop.
    A core file has been created in GG_HOME when trying to start the extract. I haven't been able to find out how to read it.
    Source and target are on Aix 6100-06. The source database is Oracle 10.1.0.5, target database is Oracle 11.2.0.3.
    The installation files are V32435-01.zip for db 10.1.0.5 (ggs_AIX_ppc_ora10.1_64bit.tar), V32437-01.zip
    for db 11.2.0.3 (ggs_AIX_ppc_ora11g_64bit.tar). This is GoldenGate 11.2.1.0.1.
    The db:s are on Asm.
    There's only 1 table in source, 1 in target, they are identical and empty.
    There's enough space in the OS.
    If I run the extract in OS (extract paramfile dirprm/eorate02.prm), it ends like this without more information:

    Hello,
    Could you wrap your process definitions in proper code brackets so its easier to understand.
    Also I'm not sure what your problem is other then you are receiving core dumps. I'm happy to help.
    Two small comment though regarding your ASM config
    1 . Dont not use ggs_owner as the asm user
    TRANLOGOPTIONS ASMUSER ggs_owner@HOSTNAME:1521/+ASM , ASMPASSWORD *********2. Create a TNSNAMES entry for your ASM instance and tehn use the following:
    TRANLOGOPTIONS ASMUSER SYS@ASM, ASMPASSWORD *****Also here is an example of an extract process that I've setup on RAC database with ASM
    EXTRACT EWFMMTLP
    EXTTRAIL ./dirdat/ew
    USERID GGATE@MY_DB, PASSWORD ggatehcc
    DDLOPTIONS ADDTRANDATA RETRYOP RETRYDELAY 20 MAXRETRIES 5 REPORT
    TRANLOGOPTIONS EXCLUDEUSER ggate
    TRANLOGOPTIONS ASMUSER SYS@ASM, ASMPASSWORD ****
    TRANLOGOPTIONS ALTARCHIVELOGDEST /u02/oracle/fast_recovery_area/MY_DB/archivelog
    TRANLOGOPTIONS PURGEORPHANEDTRANSACTIONS
    STATOPTIONS RESETREPORTSTATS
    REPORT AT 00:01
    REPORTROLLOVER AT 00:01
    REPORTCOUNT EVERY 60 SECONDS, RATELet me know if that helps

  • How to update more than 5 million records without error message ORA-00257:

    Hi ,
    I need to update some columns in my table which is contains about 5 million records
    I 've already tried this
    Update AAA_CDR
    Set RoamFload = Null ;
    but the problem is I've got the error message ("ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only,until freed.) and the update consuming about 6 hours with no results ,
    then I do the commands ( Alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size=50G) and the problem solved .
    but I need to update about 15 columns of this table to be null ,what I should do to overcome this message and update the table in reasonable time
    Please Help Me ,

    The best way would be to allocate sufficient disk space for your archive log destination. Your database is not sized properly. NOLOGGING option will not do much for you because it' only applies to direct load operations when the data inserted into nologging table is selected from another table. UPDATE will be be logged, regardless of the NOLOGGING status. Here is the quote from the manual:
    <quote>
    LOGGING|NOLOGGING
    LOGGING|NOLOGGING specifies that subsequent Direct Loader (SQL*Loader) and direct-load
    INSERT operations against a nonpartitioned index, a range or hash index partition, or
    all partitions or subpartitions of a composite-partitioned index will be logged (LOGGING)
    or not logged (NOLOGGING) in the redo log file.
    In NOLOGGING mode, data is modified with minimal logging (to mark new extents invalid
    and to record dictionary changes). When applied during media recovery, the extent
    invalidation records mark a range of blocks as logically corrupt, because the redo data
    is not logged. Therefore, if you cannot afford to lose this index, you must take a backup
    after the operation in NOLOGGING mode.
    If the database is run in ARCHIVELOG mode, media recovery from a backup taken before an
    operation in LOGGING mode will re-create the index. However, media recovery from a backup
    taken before an operation in NOLOGGING mode will not re-create the index.
    An index segment can have logging attributes different from those of the base table and
    different from those of other index segments for the same base table.
    </quote>
    If you are really desperate, you can try the following undocumented/unsupported command:
    ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG COMPRESS ENABLE;
    That will cause database to compress your archive logs and consume less space. This command is not documented or supported, not even in the version 11.2.0.3 and causes the database to start spewing ORA-0600 in version 10G. DO NOT USE IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT!!!!

    Hi,
    We encounter the same problem with different A***-tables. The problem is that these seem to be pooled tables. I had a look at sap note 1248769 and it mentions that the reconstruct-option is only liable for transparent tables. This seems to be right, as the option "Reconstruct" is greyed out in tx SE14 when we try to.
    Any other options?

    PS. Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it seems the topic starter is still looking for an answer as well
    Edit: Found another SAP Note which seems relevant: 1171306. This note has the following segment in it:
    If you still want to remove the inconsistency, you can proceed as described in the following.  However, the table must be empty for you to be able to do this (you can check this with the report NROWS:  start the report NROWS, enter DVPOOLTEXT for "Table 1" on the selection screen and choose Execute.)
    1. Call transaction SE14.
    2. Edit DVPOOLTEXT.
    3. Delete the database table.
    4. Create a database table.
    If the pool is not empty and the data is required, it must be unloaded in advance and then read again after you have recreated the table.
    Ofcourse we would like to preserve our data in the tables. Let's take a look at an example in our system: Table A017. This table has encountered the DDIC error during client copy. We have performed the following analysis actions on it:
    Report NROWS mentions 116.390 entries for table A017.
    In SE16 table A017 has 0 entries.
    In SE14 I have performed two checks: The runtime object seems ok. When I check database object in SE14 the system returns the following message: "Table is not created in database".
    Any tips?
