Did anyone catch the 11/19/08 ALUI roadmap call?

I was just browsing the Oracle site trying to find release notes for 10g R3 (which don't seem to exist) when I noticed a banner advertising an ALUI roadmap call that took place yesterday
(http://www.oracle.com/webapps/dialogue/dlgpage.jsp?p_ext=Y&p_dlg_id=7078534&src=6642147&Act=29)
Is it archived by any chance?
Did anyone catch it? If so, anything newsworthy to report?

  • Did anyone solve the SIM issue in Shanghai ? Help us

Anyone solved this issue? Some said you can ge a new SIM card from China Unicom. Did anyone changed the card and solve the problem in Shanghai?
    many thanks,

    Hold on,
Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
    Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
    Wait for unlock notification.
    Restore the backup.

  • So did anyone hack the iPad and made it work with Flash?

    Hello Dudes & Dudettes,
I basically need to write a Flash game that would work through the Safari browser on the iPad.
Did anyone try to re-write the Adobe iPhone packager and make it work for the iPad? I am curious... ?
Also anyone  knows if it is possible to hack the browser in order to use the standard embedded flash code?
I hate using the Xcode SDK, mainly because I am not that good at C++, and basically AS 3.0 would be ideal for me to develop for the iPad.
    Help is much appreciated!
    thanks,
    Dave

  • HT1923 did anyone get the apple application support was not found when trying to instal?

I am having trouble instaling itunes.  has anyone got the apple application support was not found when trying to instal itunes?  it looks like it is not installing all of files to my computer and it can not reach a certain folder

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Did anyone get the Triple bundle promotion for $79.99 & free DVR? Does that promotion exist?

I signed up for the triple bundle TV/phone/internet for $79.99 per month for 24 month contract, and free DVR for life time on Dec 10. It was advertized on Verizon website as well as on the flyer that was passed through my door. I received the confirmation letter on Dec 15 which stated the price for the above services was $104.99! That was $25 higher than their advertized price. I called customer service, who made me feel like I was hallucinating about the promotion: "The triple bundle was priced at $99.99, and no free DVR for life" as per the customer service. After much time spent explaining and negotiating, they still wouldn't change the price, but agreed to offer the free DVR.
On Dec 17, I called to confirm my order, and was told the price is still $104.99 and no free DVR. After much time spent explaining, I was offered the $79.99 triple bundle with free DVR.
On Dec 22, I called to confirm installation, and was told the price is $99.99, not $79.99.  What is going on here? Why can't Verizon honor their advertized price? If they advertized the promotion for $79.99, then change the price to $99.99 after the customer has agreed to the 2 year contract, that's called false advertizement!  I need someone to explain this to me.

A few years ago, my neighbor received the triple bundle for $99 (including free dvr) without difficulty.  Renewal is another story & it does depend upon who you speak to.
Verizon is like any other company with a contractual agreement.  Without documentation, our word is not credible.  Either cancel this order immediately.  Or, enjoy the Triple Play.  My apologies if I sound harsh.  Old school lifestyle kicking in.

  • Did anyone order the iPhone on a different line and activate it on your line?

I'm going to pick my iPhone up tonight and want to know if anyone activated their iPhone which they ordered from a different line?
How did you do it and can I do it without having to activate it through the line it was ordered from?

People have bought an iPhone under one line and activated it for another line.
Here's how to do it, everyone says Verizon's walkthrough is a good one:

  • Did anyone notice the problem with theme chooser??

    Hello all!
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a problem -- I have purchased a bunch of extra themes and now when you click on the theme chooser, it brings up a great little window with ALL of your available themes. However, there are no scroll arrows if you have too many themes!! As such, there are "missing" themes in the chooser, but if you scroll the mouse to the top of the screen, it will change it (although you can't see the one you pick!!). So, they ARE there, but the window for picking them is screwed up.
    Any help with this? Apple??
    Thanks in advance!!
    --Jason

Yeah, and I've been told Apple knows about it.I think the cutoff point is about 60 themes total, then it breaks.
You can still use the actual theme chooser (what you're talking about is the themes menu, not the chooser) to change a theme by using the Choose Theme function from the Edit menu (not the New or New from theme)

  • Did anyone configure the AddressBook (Contacts) and Calendar in Evolution?

I'm trying to configure the contacts in evolution and selecting and LDAP AddressBook witht he port 4032, which is the port for OID. As far as authentication, I tried both "E-mail Address" and "DN" but none worked!
Also, I don't know what URL should I put for the calendar! Anyone has an idea?

While sync with Link should work it is buggy and is an afterthought to the whole BB10 system. I recommend using an Outlook.com account, installing the Hotmail connector in Outlook, and then syncing the Outlook.com contacts and calendar to the BB10 device. I say Outlook.com because it uses Exchange Active Sync which is the most reliable sync to the device.
I used to sync with Link as well but the Outlook.com wireless sync really is far better.
As for the original question I don't know why it's not recognized. i see this reported on the forums all the time.

Yeah, I remember that! It was there when I signed onto my account. Apparently, they automatically sign you up if you're a current member, so that's why it keeps poping an error message whenever I tried to sign up.WE APOLOGIZEOur records indicate that you are not eligible for the Opportunities Await promotion. • Did anyone get the Apple AV Connection Kit?

id appreciate if someone could give me some feedback on it. (i.e. was it worth it and how well does everything work?)thx.
    -Jason-

I didn't buy the kit--but I bought a lot of what is in it prior to there being a kit.
It is nice to have if you want to connect your iPod to the TV and it works well. (Note: The menu button on the remote does nothing for the iPod. You cannot navigate through your iPod's menus with the remote)
The benefit of the kit over just a cable is that you can pause your iPod, raise the volume, go the next track/video, etc. with the remote instead of having to do it via your iPod.
It also comes with a power adapter which is nice as you can charge your iPod while you watch it through your TV. It also is nice to have a power adapter and charge your iPod away from a computer.
The kit is also a good deal, as far as what you get for the price.

  • Did anyone get the Minimax to work as an airdisk?

I can only find a few posts about the Minimax not working.. Maybe the people who have good experiences with this drive are not yet sharing them with us? Please let me know since I really like the fact that the minimax and the AE can be stacked.
    Thx!

    MacBook Core2 Duo 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   1 Gb SDRAM

I just set mine up this evening. I bought it for the same reason as you (to stack). Worked Fine right out of the box. (My Mac wont read the CD that came with it though)
If you want to rename then you need to connect direct to the Mac.
One thing I am sure that I read in one post is that you may get interference from the hard drive which can effect the performance of the AEBS. I noticed this as well but have not experimented further.
