Did anyone else lose the ability to see recovery drive in Disk Utility after 107.1?

After I updated to Lion 10.7.1 I can no longer see my Recovery Drive in Disk Utility. Did 10.7.1 take that away ?
Just cusious.

I heard that the ipad2 hd apps will not move over to the iphone 4 or 4s...they are different builds that will only work for ipad...that really *****...
you would need to buy and pay for the apps again if you want them on the iphone...

I am on More Everything. Edge is actually not a plan, but an add on for financing a phone while still actually being on the More Everything Plan. Regardless, I am not using Edge.

HT5307 Did anyone else lose their groups with this update?

After the update to Apple Remote Desktop Admin this past week, many of my devices and all my groups have vanished. When I launched the aplication after the update, it took a very ong time to start. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Yes, this is known issue with the 3.6 update. Lists can be lost if Remote Desktop quits or is force quit while starting up before the main window is displayed. Startup is noticibly slow when you have more than about 150 clients in your "All Computers" list. An update is in the works. See TOR's post at https://discussions.apple.com/message/19047368#19047368

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

With my new computer with win 7, why did my 990cse lose the ability to print banner?

I have kept an HP 990cse solely to print genealogy charts in a banner format. My old computer crashed and I purchased a new one with windows 7 (formerly Win XP). The driver that was downloaded does not have the ability to print these banner charts. Is there another driver I can download to restore this ability

You might try the following: install the HP Deskjet 5550 (HPA) (HP) driver using Add a Printer, select the same post the Deskjet 990cse is on. Click on Windows Update when the list of printers comes up, then select the HP version of the Deskjet 5550 driver.
This should be compatibel with the Deskjet 990, at least for the basic printing. Banner paper is available as an option. Print modes such as some of the photo print modes or automatic paper type selection for the Deskjet 5550 will not likely work, but draft, normal and best modes with specific paper type selected should work.

Has anyone else experienced the iOS going into recovery mode after the latest update?

I had a notification stating a update of iOS 6.1.1 was available. I started to install the software OTA. after about 10mins, my phone turned off, and when turned back on, showed a picture of a cable and the word iTunes.
I plugged it up to my computer which told me it was in recovery mode. its reinstalled the new software but I've lost everything. Photos, Videos, Apps, notes, Music, Messages.
I back it up regularly, but when i tried to restore the backed up file, Ive still lost a 80% of my photos, no videos have been readded, and all my Apps I have had to redownload from the App Store.
Needless to say, it's things like this that make me really wish I had re-upgraded to an Android!
Has anyone else experienced this issue with this update?

I am also experiencing the same problem, but strangely only with my iMac!
iPhone and iPad running iOS 7.0.6 working OK
MacBook Air running OSX 10.9.2 (and Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024MB) working OK
iMac running OSX 10.9.2 (and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB) working NOT OK
Not sure if this may be a problem with NVIDIA graphics after upgrading to OSX 10.9.2?
When I try to connect to AirPlay Display via my iMac, it says it's connected, but my TV goes into a full black screen mode. Despite it says it's connected to AirPlay display, I cannot actually change from Extend Desktop (my default) to Mirror iMac for example, as it doesn't allow to select it. Also, if I "open display preferences" I don't have any "Arrengement" tab as I have on my MacBook Air where it is working ok.

Change the partition of an external drive using Disk Utility?

I wish to change partition scheme, sizes, in an external drive. All the partitions are MacOS extended (Journaled) and they map, according to the layout in Disk Utility, as follows: Partion 1, 2, 3,4 where 1 is at the top and 4, the bottom. I want to make partition 2 larger, so I decreased partition 1 by half. Now the layout is 1 a, 1b, 2,3,4., where 1b is now free space. Disk Utility will not allow me to increase the size of partition 2 by dragging the corner. Which of the following options (if any) will allow me to increase the size of partition 2, without erasing the data, using Disk Utility:
Select partition 2 and manually writing a new value in the size box, equal to the present partition’s size plus the free space?
If I delete partition 1 completely, will I then be able to increase the size of partition 2?
If I delete partitions 1, 3, and 4, will I then be allowed to increase the size of partion 2?
Is there another option?

(Actually, partition 3 is an eDrive, a data recovery utility created by TechTool Pro 7, so I don’t really know how it’s formatted.)

You cannot re-size the existing partitions in such a way that you can take the space from a shrunken partition and add it to another partition. Disk Utility cannot do that. If you have an existing partition that lives above another partition, then you can delete the lower partition in order to expand the upper partition into the freed up space. This concept applies to any additional partitions that are below another partition. Disk Utility can do this. You can resize down, but not up, except when creating new partitions. You would need third-party software such as iPartition 3.4.3 to accomplish that feat.

I seem to have lost all my contacts from my address book after the Lion upgrade. I am a mobileme user and since it sync's with my MacBook Pro it erased all of by contacts. How do I retrieve my missing information?

I phone Like many of us, I have multiple email addresses. In the last week or so I noticed that my consolidated inbox is GONE - so now i have to go into each account. To view the mail sent to that particular account. Does anyone know to restore it? ive tried rebooting etc....

Open your email app. Where it says Mailboxes at the top, tap on the Edit button on the right side. That will show you a list of mailboxes and you are able to tap on the left side to put a checkmark by them to display them. You should see the All Inboxes choice there, then tap done.

I just upgraded my iPod Touch (4th generation) to ios 5.0 and lost almost all of my apps. They also do not show up when I connect to the App store through the iPod under the purchased tab.
Are they gone because they are not compatible with IOS 5.0 or is this just a glitch?

I did not lose any of my apps. Were all your apps in iTunes? The iOS 5 update does a full restore of the iPod Touch, so after the update is complete, iTunes begins the restore process and restores all your apps. Then it will restore all your music, videos, then photos. Are you using the same Apple ID that you used to purchase those apps?

I cannot type number one anymore- it works absolutely fine in every other app on my computer. Just arrived with the last update. I've copied in another app which is insane but I've encountered a site where I can no longer work around.
