Can I recover notes after updating to ios 8.1.2 with my iPhone 6+?

I've always been slack about turning off the virus protection when doing installs and updates and haven't had problems - until now. This may be the time to heed that warning. I reinstalled Acrobat, and it ran but wouldn't accept any of the updates prior to 8.1.2. It told me I was trying to update the wrong version. Then I turned off my antivirus and ran 8.1.2 - success!! Go figure...

not all phones support Text to Speech...
1st, you can not install "Text to Speech", this is built-in to the system the only thing you can add are the the different "voices", hence if your phone does not originally support Nokia's Text to Speech, you will not be able to install it, however if i am not mistaken there are 3rd party software that does "text to speech"... goggle nokia mobility for more info...

Mine crashed once with new update, but working fine.
I had to delete old printer, restart iMac, and then reinstall

I don't have a 4G device, but I thought you can use mobile safari, the safari on the iPad, on 4G.
You could also try looking for a third party app. The official facebook app has been non to barely functional for years. I use mobile safari on my iPad although I do have a couple of apps I've used upon occasion.

I purchased a Droid RAZR on June 4th with the understanding that I would receive the 4GB upgrade on the data plan. Verizon did not and will not honor this promotion because, in their words, I manually activated the phone and the promotion was never applied to the account and there was nothing they could do. Really? Nothing? Even though I attempted activation through the device 3 times to no avail? I have documentation that I placed the order during the promo and added the promo upgrade on the order. This is totally unacceptable and I am angry & disappointed in Verizon's customer service. I have been a customer with Verizon for 10 years and never experienced anything like this.
I am curious if anyone else has had issues with Verizon not honoring this promo? Thanks.

If you have the record of the purchase, and it lists the option to add the "Double Your Data" on it, then I would just go to a Corporate Store and talk to someone there. Did you buy the phone through Verizon Online? Somewhere else?

Did anyone have issues with losing their ringtones when updating itunes?

I lost all my ringtones when I updated my itunes. which is not good because i cant redownload them. Anyone know what happened tried to restore old backup and they didn't restore that way either.

Did anyone have trouble with iTunes after the recent update?

My music and playlists were wiped out. THen I tried to sync my iPhone and it tried to wipe out everything on there with the new iPhone software update.

Typically one buys an external hard drive and at regular intervals you copy the contents of your main hard drive to the external hard drive in case something happens to the contents on the internal drive. That is a backup. There is software to facilitate this, including Time Machine which is part of the system software OSX 10.5 on. If you don't have this then it's like owning a house without insurance.
An external drive costs around $100 so it is cheap given the high degree of inconvenience caused by losing the contents on your main drive. Your main drive will fail at some stage and then you lose everything, 100%.
If your library truly is gone then you will have to start over. iTunes is not supposed to erase it when updating but it does happen occasionally which is why you always make sure your backup is up to date before updating software. If your items are purchased from Apple you may be able to download them again. If it came from another source then you will have to turn to that source.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes( iTunes11: Button at top right).
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.

I noticed that after I linked Facebook to my iphone, I had tons of new entries in my Contacts. I found a way to turn that feature off. Perhaps that's your problem with randoms joining in on your convos.
Yep, follow the instructions listed by the guy above me. I also did this: Settings ---> Facebook ---> Contacts: Off (allow these apps to use ur account). That cleared out all my Facebook friend phone numbers from my Contact list on my phone. Hope this helps. Updating an os should not require oodles of work on our end.

Can anyone please help? I have an unbranded x10 in the UK. PC companion constantly tells me my phone software is up to date (with android 2.1) so I cannot upgrade to 2.3. I've tried all the tips on the SE support page like deleting the database content and looking for the setting to update the phone next time it's connected which doesn't exist (very informative SE!). Any help is welcome.

HT3529 Is anyone having trouble with their iMessage since updating to iOS 6?

Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 6 I have had trouble getting my iMessages to work. I have wifi signal but when I try to send an iMessage it will not send and I cannot recieve any either. I didn't have any trouble before I updated my OS. Does anyone have any idea's on how I can fix this? I've tried resetting my phone and removing and readding my email address in the Settings; General; Messages; Send & Recieve. That worked for a few hours then it stoped working again.
I am stationed in Africa right now and I would use it all the time to stay in contact with my family back home.

I have this same problem....was hoping maybe it was just my music library today so I could listen to some music but it happens with pandora too ..... Sure hope they send a fix quickly!

Yes if does seem as though too many users are experiencing these issues. I don't know if any of these steps will help you. At one time or another, all of these have worked for other users, so maybe one will work for you. You already tried changing the date ahead, so I didn't include that in my boilerplate response here - which you can probably find 20 times on the iPad discussion site by now.
I don't know if you have seen this one yet....
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Or this ...
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Did anyone try to restore after the ios4 update?

on 2gt or 3gt restore then add all your stuff back in? did it fix the ios4 problems?? the guy at apple told me to do so but i dont want to lose all my game progress.

When you choose to restore it will go ahead and reset your iPod and then it will ask you if you want to set it up as new or restore your settings from your backup. If you do this, and there are no errors, you won't lose your data. I've done it a dozen times since iOS 4 and it has not resolved any of the issues at all.

Since updating my iPhone five to 8.0.2 Siri has begun and ended every command with "and". It has even use the word "and" as a complete text... for example if I say "Siri tell my sister I'll be there in a minute" Siri will develop a complete message simplyusing the word "and"!

Anyone having trouble with iPod 1.2 update?

After going back from 7 to 6.05 (which I kept on another PC), I still find my iPod 5th gen. crashing occasionally when I play some podcasts. The fix has been to play a few moment from the podcast on the iPod through iTunes.
Everyone is bashing iTunes 7.0/7.01 - might there be a problem with iPod 1.2 upgrade too?

I don't have trouble with that.
But this might mean nothing, because I'm on a German version of InDesign CS6 v8.1.0 on Mac OSX 10.7.5.
What I try to do:
Change the preferences.
Change the workspace.
Restart your machine.
Restart InDesign.
The preferences should be sticky then…
