did anyone try Ipad 2 With another Carrier ? Anyone bought 3G ipad with at&t plan and use it with another carrier ?
i need to make sure before i buy it.

not all phones support Text to Speech...
1st, you can not install "Text to Speech", this is built-in to the system the only thing you can add are the the different "voices", hence if your phone does not originally support Nokia's Text to Speech, you will not be able to install it, however if i am not mistaken there are 3rd party software that does "text to speech"... goggle nokia mobility for more info...

So.. You need to contact the carrier for the iPhone's original sim card, and request they unlock it. The carrier is the only one that can unlock the sim of the iPhone.

It could be the activation server is unavailable right now, however have you or anyone else ever used that computer to jailbreak or hack another phone? That can have an affect on the hosts file. You can check this regarding information on the hosts file or security software problems.

I have just received an unlocked Palm Pre 2 from my company but I am unable to use it as my SIM card is not enabled for data connections.

I never got an answer to this. The "fix" was that my SIM should have had data services and the provider had failed to enable them. When I managed to get to the correct helpdesk the SIM was then enabled for data services and I was able to create the profile.

Call Orange. Even though it should have been unlocked, they still lock it until you ask them to unlock it. They're obligated to unlock it, so don't let them tell you otherwise.

I recently was in Panama and found out I could unlock my iPhone 5S to use it with a SIM card from a local phone company including data.

I lost all my ringtones when I updated my itunes. which is not good because i cant redownload them. Anyone know what happened tried to restore old backup and they didn't restore that way either.

Did anyone have problems with the 2012 4GB Data Promotion?

I purchased a Droid RAZR on June 4th with the understanding that I would receive the 4GB upgrade on the data plan. Verizon did not and will not honor this promotion because, in their words, I manually activated the phone and the promotion was never applied to the account and there was nothing they could do. Really? Nothing? Even though I attempted activation through the device 3 times to no avail? I have documentation that I placed the order during the promo and added the promo upgrade on the order. This is totally unacceptable and I am angry & disappointed in Verizon's customer service. I have been a customer with Verizon for 10 years and never experienced anything like this.
I am curious if anyone else has had issues with Verizon not honoring this promo? Thanks.

If you have the record of the purchase, and it lists the option to add the "Double Your Data" on it, then I would just go to a Corporate Store and talk to someone there. Did you buy the phone through Verizon Online? Somewhere else?

Using the iPhone with another SIM???

Hi,
I am really considering getting an iPhone 3GS at the weekend. However I was wondering if it would be fully operational using a sim card other than the one given with it. I know it will be locked to the network but I dont know if its a special sim or whatever. Basically I work for a phone company and I get a unlimited everything package through them so I was going to get the iPhone on pay g and use my sim card. But if i cant access iTunes etc then I dont think I'd bother.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

When you switch SIM cards, you need to re-activate the iPhone (via iTunes). So, you'd need to re-activate when you swapped SIM cards, but it's possible as long as can sync with iTunes and are using a SIM card from the same carrier your iPhone is locked to.
