Did Apple make Find My Friends app worse with newest update?

I upgraded my Find My Friends app to the newest update, and it just seems much worse than before....not that the previous version was that good. It can't seem to locate people very well....it always keeps readjusting. It can't seem to lock down an address. Don't these phones have GPS chips? Shouldn't it be able to lock down a pretty precise location fairly quickly?

Yes, the phones have GPS. Whether they are able to locate another device depends both on how good a GPS lock you have and how good a one the other party has. GPS doesn't work very well in buildings. So, if one or both of you is in a building, it may be difficult for the app to get a precise location.
If your profile is correct, your system software is also a bit out of date. It's now up to 6.1.3. You may want to consider updating.

Apple didn't make this easy, did they! When Lion first came out, I think that check box was under the Trackpad heading of the System Preferences, whether you actually had a trackpad or not. I take it there's nothing there, either?
I plugged a plain ol' three button Logitech mouse into the iMac, and while the Mouse panel options did change some, the same check box for Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating was there.

Why did Apple make iTunes 7 look like a Windows XP App.? This version of iTunes doesn't even look like it belongs in OSX. It's ugly is about the only way I can put it. I can't figgure out why they removed the EQ icon and didn't even assign a key command for it. Now yoy have to go into the menu to select it. Also I have noticed that it sometimes downloads the wrong artwork for album covers. The old version of iTunes seemed much better and I have reverted back to it untill Apple fixes the problems with version 7 and makes it look like part of the OSX family of applications.

Well I wouldn't say it was ugly but some changes do leave something to be desired.
I certainly aggree about the equaliser button and the visualiser button has gone too but at least they assigned a key command for it. The scrollbars need more colour and I'd prefer the buttons at the bottom to stand out a bit more like the ones at the top.
I see no reason to go back to iT6 though, especially as I would misss Cover Flow. You could have a long wait for a change of interface and in the meantime you miss out on the good parts of iT7. If your track information is correct and identical to that on the Store then it shouldn't get the wrong artwork. Luckily I already had most of my album covers in place from other sources such as Amazon and just used iTunes to get a few more. My only complaint about the Get Album Artwork feature is that it's getting it from the US store when I want it from the UK store.

So if I am checking to see that everyone is on their way and I have Notify activated regardless who its reporting on it say I (John Doe) has left. In short It just tells me that I have left no matter who I’m checking on.

You state you configured your iCloud account on your iPhone 5 but the Find My iPhone app says it's not registered.
Did you actually enable Find My iPhone on the phone?

Download of version 3 of 'Find my Friends' app

I want to download version 3 of the 'Find My Friends' app as I cannot run version 4 on an iPhone 4 as it requires IOS8.
Version 4 only is now available on the store, where can I find a copy of version 3?

This is a good capability to have but, alas, I'm afraid it won't help me now, as I've since sync'ed my new phone running iOS8 and hence the version of Find My Friends in my iTunes is no longer version 3. Yes, I could perhaps use Time Machine to resurrect an old backup that contains the old version but this would entail a lot of hazardous and exceedingly time consuming purging and rebuilding of my phone that I'm not willing to try. You might say that I should have waited to start using my new phone in anticipation that Apple just might update FF (or any program for that matter) to the point that it no longer runs on older phones but I think that's asking an awful lot; ****, even Microsoft makes older versions of its programs available for people who have newly acquired old hardware, and I don't think it's asking a lot of Apple to do the same.

The find my friend app was working. But now it no longer works. it doesn't work on my iPhone or my iPad. I've looked in settings to see what I can do, and I did read something where it says you can only use one device at a time. So I set it for iphone and it doesn't work. Any help?

Incorrect spellings in Find My Friends app

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. The apps sections were all for specific Apple apps and didn't include this one.
Recently the Find My Friends app has started mis-spelling names of locations. I live in the UK, in London, but when a friend of mine isn't in a location I've saved and it gives me the name of their location, it has started spelling London as Londen and England as Engeland. Why could this be happening? Does it rely on Google maps? Literally the only thing that springs to mind, unlikely though it is, is that Google changed the spellings for the Olympics as one of the odd little things they do from time to time (try going on Google maps on your computer and getting directions from the shire to mordor and you'll see what they've done!). I realise this is unlikely though.
Anyone else had this spelling error? It's the same on my iPhone and iPad.

SOLUTION:
For anyone reading this and curious of the solution, it turns out the issue was a change in default location / language associated with my Apple ID. Turns out it randomly defaulted to Dutch. Just gotta log in to the Apple website ID managing section and change it back.

I want to remove one of my friend's account from my "Find My Friends" app, but the app keeps telling me it's under the maintenance. I've tried removing since last month, and I thought iOS6 as well as updated app can fix me this. Unluckily it's not.

"Find My Friends" never worked even before shel left home. And she also has a new iPhone 6 (and I have a 6 plus ) on latest software update. We tried messing with it at home on wifi and on LTE with out any progress. I'm really disappointed with "Find my Friends" App. Especially for the App been made by Apple. Hope they fix the problem very soon maybe with a new update.

My find my friends app will not let me hide from my followers. I've looked under general settings and it doesn't look like there are restrictions on it. My dad installed this app to track me whenever he feels like it and I'm assuming he did something so I can't turn the "hide from followers" button on. Everything else on the app seems to be working and nothing else seems restricted. How do I fix this?
