Did I just get hacked/cracked by Comcast?

Sending this from my iPhone. Please pardon.
Intermittent svc from Comcast last two weeks. Multiple calls for service. Seems they are actively trying to not send technician. Have cancelled appts. without notification, lied that they called (AT&T and iPhone records), documented in online chat service appt that they then deny when missed. Multiple calls (recorded) to document.
But that's NOT the problem...
Normally, the online chat runs from within the Safari plug in. About 15 minutes into the chat a Java applet launches in the dock. I've never seen this before, except when launching a Java applet from the desktop. Never had it before with any Comcast chat. Safari internet plug in and Java applet both running w 2 separate PID's.
Can someone explain this never before seen behavior?

2004 is flash version 7 and the currect
version is Flash 8 - MX 2004 came out well over a year ago.

Yes they removed normal mode from the AS panel but brought it
back in flash 8 as "Script Assist"

Why did my Events get hacked up?

After "upgrading" to iPhoto '11, I see that Events that span several days all got hacked into daily events. Now I have to go back and reconstruct all those Events.
This is the worst upgrade I've ever experienced from Apple.

I upgraded. Events that cover multiple dates got separated into separate dates, based on dates. So a week's vacation in Santa Barbara no longer is one event, but seven.
Some Events did not get hacked up, but many did. It appears that older photo Events got hacked up, newer ones did not.

Did my phone get hacked

iPhone 3g suddenly says "iphone activeted" there was no updates done or anything. All apps, text, contacts are still there, but is requesting my itunes info to download new apps. I've hadn't had any problems with it till today, and I've had for 3 months. In itunes my phone was label "my name's iphone" now just says iphone. How and why did it rename itself? Is it possible to get a trojen in the iphone all I need is work to start getting blasted by emails because of me.

Nothing can be installed on your iPhone from a received email or from a website with or without your knowledge (including a virus/trojan) as is so common with Windows.
Not sure how your iPhone's name was changed, but it wasn't caused by your iPhone being hacked or due to a virus - since there are no viri that infect or affect OS X, which has been around for nearly 10 years or so.
You can change the name of your iPhone back to what is was as with changing the name of any file or folder name on your computer's hard drive.
Select on the name of your iPhone in the iTunes source list until the name area is highlighted to change it.
I also suggest doing an iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. An iPhone reset is similar to a computer restart and does not affect any data or settings.
Since you've had your iPhone, how often do your power your iPhone off and on, and how often have you done a reset if ever?

How did my site get hacked?

Earlier this week, 7 sites on 3 different servers (Go-daddy, Lunar Pages, and another ) were allegedly hacked and blocked in Firefox, Chrome and Google search results.
I use iObit and advanced system care to keep my pc clean. My pc, as scanned by these programs has no malware. I have over 40 sites in my Dreamweaver site definitions
On 6 of the sites, I removed everything on the server, re-uploaded the sites and requested a review.
On 1 of the sites, the hosting provider scanned the site and found nothing.
On 1 of the sites, I did nothing and requested a review.
All 7 sites were restored/unblocked.
I've spent hour upon hour researching including but not limited to stopbadware.org and antiphishing.org and can't figure out how/why this happened and since my pc is allegedly clean,
I am wondering:
A) if there is a security hole in the Dreamweaver communications with Adobe.
B) They were false Positives =( My webmaster tools currently say Google has not detected any malware on this site.)
I've always practiced "safe computing" and don't know what else to do to prevent this from happening again.
Has anyone else had a problem such as this recently?

Sites, especially popular ones, often become targets to hackers & robots who find vulnerabilities on the server or in your forms & scripts which allows them to inject malicious code into web pages. I had this happen about 2 years ago on a dedicated server. Fortunately, the files on my local drive were clean so I was able to replace the remote site in a few hours.
How did it happen? According to the hosting company nothing was wrong at their end. So we may never know exactly how the hackers got in. The server hosted 5 sites at the time but only one site was hacked.
WordPress and other open source frameworks are especially attractive to hackers. If you use PHP & MySql, take necessary security precautions.
Use strong passwords for everything. A minimum of 17 characters, alpha-numeric, upper & lower, with symbols. If you can remember your passwords, they're not strong enough. Write them down. And change your passwords regularly.
Consider getting Secure Live which stops & blocks attackers IP addresses and sends them to the FBI's database. https://www.securelive.com/

Did I just get swindled?

I just bought CS6 Production Premium off ebay for around $1,000 and it came in a plastic dvd case with comparatively low quality printing. On the back, among other things, it said
"This is a complimentary professional installation media kit and therefore has no resale value by the end user which it was issued to. It may not be resold, copied, or otherwise distributed without prior authorization. This installation media kit is provided solely for installation purposes for Volume License customers who may or may not have internet access to download the application. This media kit is not intended to replace original installation media distributed by Adobe. The files contained on this media are the original files as are publicly available directly from adobe.com and may also be downloaded from adobe.com in lieu of installing from the provided media kit."
What should I make of this?

Sorry to hear that... Unfortunately, trying to buy any Adobe software off eBay or other online auction sites is not a good idea – Adobe does not recognize them as they're rife with bogus, unsafe, or unusable copies.
"Low quality printing" or low pricing is a certain tipoff of a scam. Hopefully, it's not too late to get your money back – if you can.

Why did i just get an error from firefox 4 saying that someone was trying to push an update to firefox to harm my system?

I had firefox minimized while it was downloading a file and i was working in another application and a box came from firefox titled "Software update" which would normally mean firefox was going to update or needed to restart. but instead the box said " Someone is trying to trick firefox into accepting an insecure update. Please contact your network provider and seek help.". Now this has me puzzled as i am the only user of this laptop, and isnt mozilla the only people that can send an update to firefox? I've also been having some other problems as far as speed and plug-ins. mainly quicktime, last time i tried to launch a quicktime video in firefox. it wouldnt work. also when i had the previous firefox, i had more ram then i do with 4. i mean i used to with just firefox 3 running i would have 2545 or at least 2500MB of free ram and that would be with at least three or more tabs open. now i have with firefox 4 only running around 1600mb or free ram and nothing has changed with my system other than firefox.

It is best to do a clean reinstall and remove the entire Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) in this case to remove all leftover files.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the ''Firefox Profile Folder'' and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Must have been a server glitch or you would have definitely heard it. It plays loudly for 2 minutes unless you unlock it with your passcode.

MMS + add some text = 2 chat bubbles... did i just get charged twice?

I noticed when I send a pic using MMS and add some text to it, I get 2 chat bubbles; 1 for the pic and 1 for the text. Does this mean I got charged twice? I went to an AT&T store Saturday to ask someone and he said yes but the tone of his voice sounds like he was unsure. Is anyone else sending MMS with some text and seeing the 2 chat bubbles?

What happened to the armature in ActionScript 3? Did Adobe just get rid of it?

I was trying to animate a stick figure when I realized that there was an easier way to do it, which was an armature. I looked through the tools and didn't see one. I looked online, nothing was helpful. Can someone help me out with my problem?

I think we've all been duped and apple didnt even see it, that "flashplayer.xpt " is the winner it's an executable script from the browser it's been in there waiting for awhile now and its attaching to all your framework files or better yet replacing them this is a rough one boys and the worst part is, I think its been sitting to long to matter now

Credit card and debit card and checking and savings information is encrypted so it is possible to be hacked, but the odds are greater to get hit by the Love Boat then to have a wide scale hack.
Oh yes they do happen, Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, Target and quite a few others. But in all the years I have paid my invoice with saved card information I never been hacked.
You use good passwords and the risk is minimal.

Iphone 3gs shows activation required, hocked up to iTunes and it is not recognized. Did the restore but just gets to the end and gives an error message it could not be restored, an unknown error occurred (-1). Can someone assist me in next steps please?

Instructions to get the phone back working temporary.. till there is a real fix.
1. turn off the phone
2. fire up iTunes
3. press and hold the home button, plug in the cable, hold till you get to see the recovery mode
4. iTunes will the allow to choose restore the phone back to 5.0.1 ( no other choice)
5. iTunes will then ask you to choose which previous backup to would like to recover.
(note: please do not reboot your phone unless necessary, i realize at times after reboot, it goes back to sq1)
