Did i just harm my trackpad?

hi all..i just dropped my apple earbuds onto the glass trackpad., and the metal part hit the pad and made a sharp noise.
i dont see any scratches or cracks on the pad and seems to work fine, but im kinda worried i maybe did internal damage? or am i freakin out too much?

If it's working fine, it probably IS fine. Don't worry — but don't drop things on it, either!

My iMac suddenly can't read the backup hard drive I've been using for Time Machine. I tried unplugging the cord that connects the HD to the iMac and plugging it back in, but I still get "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" below which are buttons for Initialize, Ignore and Eject. I was using a cord that went from larger square plug to larger square plug. So then I tried one that went from smaller square plug to what I think is USB (thin rectangular plug) of the sort that connects the keyboard and mouse. It's the type that my printers and scanners use to connect to the iMac. I did NOT just upgrade the OS or anything. The external HD is an OWC Mercury Elite All Pro. It's worked fine since I got the iMac 4 years ago. What else can I try before just trying to initialize and

Thanks, Michael! I do hear it at times spooling up and running. Just after I bumped the thread I looked for troubleshooting for this drive online and found the manual which suggested using Disk Utility which I've seen before accidentally (if I hit Command Shift U instead of Shift U to type "Unit" on a new folder for a student's homework ) but had never really noticed. Disk Utility does see it and also a sub-something (directory?) which might be the Time Machine archives on the disk, called disk1s2), sort of the way that my iMac's hard drive shows up as 640.14 GB Nitachi HDT7... and has a sub-something titled DB iMac, which is what I named my iMac's hard drive.
Anyway the owner's manual just shows the image under the formatting section, not the troubleshooting section, but as soon as I saw it in the manual I remembered seeing it accidentally a few times, went to it, and am now verifying the disk. Right now it's telling me that it will take 2 hours to complete the verification, so I guess I have a bigt of a wait. :-)
Does that fact that Disk Utilities can see it mean it's not failed, or just that it hasn't completely failed?
I can see the virtue in having multiple redundant backups, or at least two backups. What do you suggest? Two external hard drives? I had this one linked by ethernet, and but I also have a cord that could link it by USB (like a printer), so if this one is reparable I could get a second one and link it by USB. If this one is not reparable I could get two and do the same thing. I do have an Airport so I suppose it's possible to get some sort of Wi-Fi hard drive (my new printer/scanner uses only the network and not a cable, although it has a cable that I used for the initial installation), but I'd suspect a Wi-Fi hard drive might have a higher price.
What hard drives, if any, do you recommend? I seem to recall that when I was looking at external hard drives 4 years ago, Apple's were substantially more expensive, which is why I got the OWC Mercury Elite All Pro.

2004 is flash version 7 and the currect
version is Flash 8 - MX 2004 came out well over a year ago.

ExportPDF is not for forms. In general, converting forms to Word is a really, really bad idea which can even cause legal problems. Work with the form as a PDF. Acrobat (not Reader) can export form data as simple text for example.

Have you deleted anything from your iTunes library ? Have you checked to see if they are still on your computer, but not listed in your iTunes library ?
If not then do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading ? If they don't show there and others do and they are still in your country's store, then check to see if they are hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
If they are no longer in your store for redownloading (or you aren't in a country where music videos can be redownloaded) then you will need to copy them back from your backup of your library/downloads.

They are only free via the account orginally purchased or if they came pre installed on the computer. Depending on what you have purchased already us the one account for the app store - saves headace and hassel in the future thus not double buying software. Do you have iwork installed on your imac? meaning the iwork 09? if you do your should be able to to to the store and update it. Worked fine for me since i bought the DVD version of iwork 09 and Aperture 3. I did not want to have to rebuy them so the app store noticed i had them installed and changed the update via the app store.

I just bought an iphone 4s--upgraded from a Droid smartphone. On my old bill my data plan is "email & web unlimited" for $29.99. Did I made a mistake when ordering the new phone--I clicked on the 2G plan and that is what is shown in my order. Did I just give up my grandfathered plan? I really don't understand all this stuff. Could someone help me understand if that "email & web unlimited" was the grandfathered unlimited data plan I keep seeing discussed on this forum? Does that allow me to upload pictures, stream radio/movies, etc.? Or do I really need one of the tiered plans like the 2G? I will try to revise my order through customer service if need be. Thank you so much.

No, this is not the grandfathered unlimited plan. As soon as you activate your phone, you should call Verizon and have your unlimited plan reinstated. The 2GB plan shouldn't take effect until you activate your new phone, but you could just check to make sure. Once the 2GB plan takes effect, you should have 14 days to have the unlimited plan reinstated, or you will lose it for good.

Don't take your laptop back. Find out the number for Apple Care in your part of the world and call them. Tell your story to them. If the person on the phone can't help you, ask for their supervisor. As good if not better than any Apple laptop I've ever had, and I've had several.This is the thing though, there is a percentage of failure rate that occurs in electronics. It occurs whether we're talking about televison sets or toasters. If it's electric, it has that failure rate. Now sometimes a thing will be bad and in that case the word gets out and everyone knows that particular electronic has surpassed the normal failure percentage. The Airs, however, have not done that. Their reputation, so far, has been incredibly solid and good. So you can assume that you, unfortunately, got one out of that small percentage of electronics that have an issue.
Laptops, let us remember, are doing a lot in a very small area. A lot can go wrong, and it's pretty amazing how many don't, especially given how many are made and sold. Sometimes we get the bad apple in the barrel, it doesn' t mean that the company making it has gone down hill. We hope the manager of the store, or the company, or someone will do right by us. If they don't, then we need to make sure they do. Keep asking for upper management till you get what you want.

I signed up for a Developer account with my Apple ID at one stage.
Although I don't use it I do get prompted to Change my Password frequently, but somewhat randomly since.
At first I wondered if it was a change within the Apple set up overall but I have not heard other people mention it.
Since then I must admit to not checking posts on this topic though.
Whether the request to change the password is triggered by some other even at the server I don't know.
For instance these communities/forums are shared/duplicated across four or five servers. There can be issues is they go out of sync and things like the roll out of the new layout can be server by server with them being Off line in rotation - which it turn can stress the load on the first to handle the change.
On Change over day the process was supposed to start at about 12.00 Noon my local time.
In the evening I could not sign in during the 3 hours I am normally at my computer.
However I could see both the iPhone Community and the Mavericks communities both had large numbers of spam "meet women in..." and offers for "help" with a name that sounded like it could be an Indian Guru.
It looked like these were being edited out at the time.
However the Status page told me nothing about the downtime. And it did appear some people were Logged in and posting judging by the time codes.
Whilst I believe an event happens that triggers a request for a new password for me I do not specifically know that this is what triggers others to have to log in again.
To put it another way though.
You might have one password to the account that you use for FaceTime, Messages, iTunes, iCloud Logging in to post here and so forth.
Whilst the Messages, FaceTime, iTunes and iCloud servers are all separate that password has to be verified.
If there is a power outage at that server then everyone has to log in again.
