Did iOS 4.0.1 Update fix Bluetooth muffled voice issue?

can you guys report if the iOS4 update released Thursday addressed the problems with the Bluetooth connection/sound quality/voice clarity?? I haven't updated my iPhone 4 yet so I can't test for myself. But i'd like to know if the muffled voice issue has been resolved, thanks!
(My bluetooth device: Plantronics Voyager Pro)

omg.. okay.. i thought about going to Costco and buying a Jawbone just to test it out.. but sounds like you guys have tried w/multiple bluetooth devices and it's not helping any .. what's even more sad is you've also stated you've exchanged your phones and it still doesn't get any better. i was hoping an exchange would help~i have read some ppl's stories that they exchanged their phone and their bluetooth problems got resolved (one guy even reporting ,w/a pic to show, being ~40ft away w/no issues!).. i get about 20ft and my bluetooth just straight up disconnects!
but this is the crazy story:: im having a unique issue in my kitchen (which is very very small!).. i put my phone on the dining table and walk 4ft to the sink and ppl say i sound robotic, like the Transformers talk in the movie.. but if i walk elsewhere (not into the kitchen), it seems to work ok. now i have a Nextel phone too.. i can repeat what i do and not have any robotic sounds.. i have never had any problems using my bluetooth with my Nextel or my iPhone 3G, never ever-ever!! whut the heCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!

  • HT1695 Did iOS 6.0.2 update, but still can't connect to certain WiFi networks.  FIX THIS, APPLE!

Like the subject line says, I installed the 6.0.2. update with my fingers crossed, but my iPhone 5 still doesn't connect to certain networks.  Of course, Apple in their "Troubleshooter" sends me to an article telling me how to connect to a WiFi network, and to reset Network settings (which I've done numerous times).
This happens in a local coffee shop, and one odd thing is that the owner thinks he has his router set to require a password, but none of my devices show it to be a secured network (though it was and did require a password when I initially joined the network).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have the same problem here at the university campus. See my post

We hope that Apple will release a fixed iOS 6-Version soon.

  • After iOS 7.1.2 update my bluetooth

After updating my Iphone 5s to iOS 7.1.2 my bluetooth conection which is manufacturer built in to my car, is no longer connecting properly.  When I ring or someone rings me, all I can hear is interference in car speakers. Is anyone else experiencing similar problem?

I have the same problem.  Since updating to 7.1.2 my 5 will not connect to my VF Holden Commodore.  Went to the vehicle dealer today (Holden) and they knew nothing about it.  Suggested I go back one update on the IPhone...
    VERY frustrated!!!!!!!!

  • HT6147 Why did or how did iOS 7.0.6 update run on my iPad without needing me to give my password ? I wasn't sure this was from Apple before I yes, but I reassured myself if it was ok it would ask me to sign in as with all other installs. Nopejusttookoverl

    ?

Upgrades to iOS do not require a password since they are not purchases from the iTunes Store and hence have no account or ID associated with them, per se. But iOS updates, at least under normal circumstances, do not install without your approval, though they will download automatically.
    Regards.

  • Is there going to be a new update fixing the battery drainage issue done by IOS 6.0.1 ?

Ok, Apple you have really don it now. Apple makes things so complicated... new update comes (6.0.1) out FIXING VARIOUS ISSUES BUT THEN AGAIN CREATING A BIGGER ONE A BATTERY ISSUE... I'm really DISAPOINTED... This doesnt make sense... It's redicoulse. Apple you're gonna end up LOOSING  CUSTOMERS thanks to this UPDATE because people don't want a phone that has POOR BATTERY LIFE TIME..... IF THERE IS GONNA BE AN UPDATE PLEASE LET ME KNOW, THE WHOLE COMMUNITY ACTUALLY! and this time MAKE IT RIGHT! it's not just happening with me but with almost EVERYONE!

  • Has latest update fixed the "blue rectangle" issue?

If today's update did not fix it, is there any news as to when this bug will be fixed?  I'd really like to be able to turn the GPU back on.
Also--separate subject--the new version seems to have some catalog issues.  It didn't update the latest LR 5.7 catalog but some slightly older one.  All sorts of minor issues result.  Don't know if anyone else has had this kind of problem.
    Gail

Ive had Samsung galaxy s2 and i miss it. Unfortunately ive sold it for an iphone 4s and id say im not so satisfied. Even though IOS is somewhat better than android, android team can really fix the issues pretty fast and clearly with an expected result, unlike apple.
As for the battery. Battery on MY iphone 4s *****, its still same ****** 5.01 had, and its draining in 6 hours of normal usage. Couple phone calls, text messages, surfing in internet and boom, its depleted. Usually i have to charge my phone once a day, but sometimes even twice. As for SGS2, i even could go 3 days without a single charge, however im not sure anymore with ICS firmware.
Im selling off my iphone 4s and excited about HTC One X, i have a strong feeling about that phone.

  • I'm unable to initiate outbound calls since tha last iOS 7.1.2 update, anyone got the same issue

After I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.1.2, I was unable to dial any single number from my contacts in a couple of hours. I still got that issue when I load my phone up to 100%

  • 10.5.2 Update fixes Leopard DVD burning issues!

I'd been having problems burning dvd's in leopard ever since i installed it, always had that "Power Calibration Error". I was able to burn discs in Bootcamp, so it was kinda obvious that the problem was in OS X. I've just completed installing 10.5.2 full update (341 MB) from Apple's website and I'm happy to say Apple has responded pretty well. I've burnt 5 Single Layer DVD's successfully. I have no dual layer ones lying around, so I'm not too sure about them.

Call AppleCare and see if they can help.
    Regular trouble shooting
    1) Create a new account, name it test or something
    2) log into that account to see if the behavior changes
    3) If it does, then there is some problem in your own account.
    4) If it doesn't, restart.
    5) If the behavior still doesn't change, there is some system configuration error
    In this case
    6) Open Disk Utility. Verify your disk, then repair permissions (not likely to fix the problem but will at least eliminate that possibilty)
    7) Get a copy of Leopard Cache Cleaner and do a MODERATE cache cleaning
    8) Restart
If still not fixed, reset PRAM and the SMU. Look on the Apple web site for instructions for your particular computer.
If still not different, do an Archive and Install. However go to the Apple web site and download the 10.5.2 Combo updater first. After you Archive and Install from either the disk that came with your computer (assuming that it is Leopard) or the retail Leopard installer. Then run the combo updater. Then run Software Update.
These problems are disturbing and really shouldn't happen, but they do. However, they can be fixed and you'll find that Mac OS is, overall, much better than the alternatives.
BTW, I just went through this whole mess for crashes on wake from sleep (USB issues) and failure to sleep (printer driver issue). Another computer had DHCP problems and actually needed a reinstall. However both of them are working fine now even though it was a pain getting there.

  • Can my Y2P bought in other countries apply the new update fix for the yellow issue?

Sorry to have new post, but the original post about yellow issue is banned.
I'm plannying to buy Y2P from Hong Kong for long time, but I want to wait for the fix to come out.
Now I see the fix has came out but would there be differences in the content of update for different models as I'm buying the i7 8GB RAM 256GB SSD version of Y2P in Hong Kong? Or could my Y2P directly apply the newly released update for the yellow issue?

Frist apple isnt here so they're not going to here your message. second you should try the following
    -restart phone
    -reset phone
    -reset network setting
    -restore the device as new

  • 1.1.1 update fixes Exchange email sync issue

Before the update, when I deleted an email on Exchange on my PC and then hit the wireless/update button on the iPhone, the message would be deleted on the phone. But when I deleted an email on the device, it would never get deleted on the Exchange server. This was a huge pain and has been documented, and I (and I'm sure others) reported the issue to Apple.
After update 1.1.1, everything works fine.

Thats because during the update it cleaned out your system and then when you sync'd with iTunes...it reset your outlook. With an IMAP setup, its designed to do that but only when you allow itunes to sync the account to your phone.
If you hand built your account into the iphone and then with the sync you established a conflict and that is why your IMAPing didnt work right.
Glad its working as designed now.

  • Fixed bluetooth fluttering noise issue

    Hi guys.
I have an iPhone 4, was using a Plantronics Voyager Pro, and recently upgraded to the Jawbone ERA headset.
I've been suffering with really bad fluttering/popping sounds while using my phone in my home office with either bluetooth headset.
I can't recall for certain, but I'm not sure that just talking into the phone yielded much better results.
Eventually, I traced the issue to Wifi: Whenever I had wifi turned on, and I was connected to my home wireless network, the fluttering/popping was very significant and distracting.
If I shut off wifi on my phone, the noise largely disappeared.
Then I noticed that I wasn't having the same issue at other locations.
In any case, I have been extremely frustrated as I have one of the nicest smartphones and two of the best bluetooth headsets on the market, as well as one of the best consumer-grade routers; the Netgear WNDR3700 dual-band Wireless N Gigabit.
Long story short, it occurred to me to change the wifi channel in my router, and my problem with fluttering/popping has largely disappeared.
    Just thought I'd share....

Very helpful and timely.  I just started suffering the same problem with my Motorola wireless headphones on phone calls.  Just tried shutting off the wireless and Voila!  Thanks.

  • I did the 8.1.3 update and now I have no Safari shortcut? How do I get it back?

sSafari shortcut is not showing on my IPad since I did iOS 8.1.3 update. I can't find Safari in App Store or my settings to get it back on my screen. How can I get my Safari icon back?

If you can't find it on any of your home screens or via the spotlight search screen then check to see if it's hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari being set 'off'

  • Hello. My Iphone start update iOS automatically. I want to have iOS ver. 6.1.3. How I can abort iOS 7.0.2 updating?

Hello. My Iphone start update iOS automatically. I want to have iOS ver. 6.1.3. How I can abort iOS 7.0.2 updating?

I had this issue and following the steps below fixed it:
1- backup your iphone on itunes
2- perform factory reset (it will wipe out the iOS7 from your iphone, if already downloaded)
3- restore iphone data using itunes (this won't restore the iOS 7 download data that was downloaded to the device)
4- disable wifi right after restored (to prevent auto download again of iOS7)
5- fill up your iphone with photos or music, leave less than 3GB free.
By filling up storage you can prevent Apple from auto downloading iOS 7 to your device.  The iOS 7 download requires 3.1GB of data and if there is less than that it won't allow the download to happen.
The instructions above won't remove ios7 if the upgrade has been installed and currently running on your device. It removes the ios7 upgrade data that has downloaded to your device (and taking up storage space) that is waiting for you to press the "Install Now" button. Don't press that button...
