You really need to add a CONFIRMATION to your sign up process, because I did not sign up for Skype, I do not want to be signed up for Skype, and yet here I am because you sent me a message saying someone used my email. A version of it that's not even my actual email with a . in the name of it. Thanks for that. Please close this account and remove my email address, thank-you. Would have posted a ticket or whatever support thing this site uses, but apparently it's having issues, so yeah. Only thing I can do is post here.

Of you're being phished. There are a lot of phishing scams going around right now with bad guys trying to get access to apple ID's.
Anytime you want to verify the info, do not click on any links in the mail, but open up iTUnes on your computer and check things out that way.

I just received an e-mail saying welcome to skype. I did not sign this account up so someone has maybe accidently put my e-mail address in when signing up. With most sign ups you normally have to click through a confirmation e-mail to activate your account, but it doens't look like skype has this. how do I notify skype that I do not want me e-mail associated with this account?

Someone keeps signing up to Skype using my email a...
I have a three-letter email address at yahoo.com. I am constantly getting notices from Skype that someone has registered an account using that email. It is not me that is doing it. But for some reason, Skype takes any old address you give it when you sign up for an account. There is apparently no verification. There is no 'we're sending you an email with a link, click it and we'll activate your account.' Nothing. As a result, my yahoo.com email account has about 6 accounts associated with it. There's no way to delete an account. The only thing I can do is tell Skype I have forgotten my password, change the password, then remove my email from the accounts. I have to do this one by one, and apparently Skype only allows three password changes in a 24-hour period.
Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem? I'm so tired of having to deal with this.
I have a Skype account. I created an email JUST for that, and it is NOT my yahoo.com email address. All I want is some way to tell Skype not to keep letting people use my email address to register for Skype.UberOverlord, I HAVE done that. Repeatedly and often. And each time, I get back a "Sure, okay, we'll remove that" response, often days after I sent it. And the accounts either come RIGHT back or are never deleted, it's hard to tell. Clearly, someone at Skype doesn't care whether their users are causing spam on innocent bystanders' emails.
When I said 'no way to contact customer support, apparently,' I was referring to the frustration that I encountered as a non-Skype user the last time I tried to get all these accounts removed. No one appears to be listening. They just let the same issue turn up again and again and again.
Here's the last response I received nearly a year ago when I asked them the same EXACT question, and asked them to make sure my yahoo.com account was never registered again:

Remove them and PLEASE block '[email protected]' from EVER creating another account.

My hope is that they read this or that one of you super-users in the forums will be able to get through to them the sense of frustration that this causes. It is not that hard to simply ask for email account verification. A lot of places do it. Why doesn't Skype? -

Officially your iPod is "offline". If someone restore it and put another apple id, it's going to be "offline" for ever in "find my iPod". Is someone turns on the iPod with out restoring, you will see where your iPod is. I sold and iPod touch two weeks ago and still appear in "find my iPod". I erased from the app finally.

I can not sign in to FaceTime using my @mac.com apple id, each time i try encounter the following message:
The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try later. This has been an ongoing issue for several days.
I am also unable to access Facetime preferences
any suggestions for a fix please?I was having this problem and was able to fix it by going to system preferences and adding my @me email address as an additional apple id - then I signed on to facetime using that sign on info and it worked. Good luck.as

You cannot block it from being "registered".
If you did not set up find my ipad before it was lost, then there is nothing you can do but change your passwords. -
A Skype account that I did NOT sign up for and can...
I received an email from [email protected] about a Skype account that had been created under said email address. I have a Skype account that I've had for a year under my primary email, and I never made a second account. Moreover, when I provide the email to obtain the password, I receive the email and the temporary password token, but both the automatic link and the code to manually enter bring up a message saying that the code is "not valid."

What the ****? I don't remember my **** security answers and I just put $35 on my iTunes account and I am not able to buy anything! I'm so mad! I anwered those questions stupidly and I did not pay attention. And that extra email? I don't have a clue. I am seething and desperate. & I refuse to create a new account with all that mula on the line.
If you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't know what it is (you won't be able to add/view it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Someone used my email address to create an Apple ID. I logged in to appleid.apple.com and I changed the password because it is freaking me out. I want to report it to Apple but dont know how to go about it. I want the Apple ID deleted. How do I go about that? Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. Sorry to hear about the login problem. The resolution depends on the error you're getting. If it's more like a username/password issue, you can retrieve that by choosing Forgot password option.

In list view, select the album column. To choose which columns appear, select an item on the left side of the window (a playlist, for example), choose View > View Options, and select the information you want to see. You can also Control-click a column heading to select columns to display.
The column selected determines how tracks are displayed. For example, clicking the "Name" column displays all tracks in alphabetical order; clicking the "Album" column displays the tracks in album order; clicking the "Date Added" column displays the tracks in the order that they were imported into your library. Columns also have a disclosure arrow at the right of the column (when selected) that you can click to reverse the order.
