Did the last OSX update kill my computer?
After the last OSX 10.7.5 (11G63) update on my aged iMac, all Google websites, Chrome, Safari, Word, and other programs I use daily keep crashing. Is my computer too old for that update? Have I exceeded its capacity? The processor is 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; the memory is 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
Based on the information you have provided your iMac is a Model Identifier iMac 5.2 and the Model Number is A1195. Check in System Profiler>Hardware if this is the case.
If so it can accept Lion OSX. Your crashes then are occurring for other reasons.

I have a macbook pro I bought 5 mos. ago.... yesterday when I went to shut down my computer I get a pop up thing that says there are updates for my computer and that I would need to restart it when I'm done or something like that... so I did it, and now...... my computer is slower, and everytime you got to load a new page, the address in the address bar has this blue highlight that scrolls from left to right as the page is slowly loading.... what happened?????
I disagree with the recommendation to try Chrome.Since the last Chrome update I am experiencing the same issues you are.I have also tried Opera which is fairly fast but extremely buggy in my experience.I have used Firefox but dislike it for the same reason I disliked IE.............toolbars!And I want to see more of the page than it displays.My Dad swears by Safari but I find the interface to be less user friendly than either Chrome or Opera.I must confess that I have all 4 of these browsers on my late-2008 MBP and use each one in different situations based on my needs at the time.Try them all and decide which is right for you.The best choices are made with hands-on experience.

I can record voice notes no problem, but when i make calls the recepient cannot hear me.
I did a full restore and had one succesful call and that was it.
tried calling with and without the cover no luck.
phone is only two weeks old,problem only started once i did the latest software update. vs5.1.1
any idea's?Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you've gone through ALL the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, there's really not much left to recommend. You'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

Did the last Apple update screw up your computer?
The last two Apple software updates seemed to have screwed up my computer. After downloading and installing the last one (which included an update to iTunes), I could not turn on iTunes - it just made my computer freeze up. I could not shut it down the regular way. So I pressed the power button for 5 seconds, which turned the computer off finally. Then let it sit for 30 seconds. And when I went to turn it on - the computer got to the gray screen and just hung there. I finally had to press the power button for 5 seconds to shut it down so I could hook up my external hard drives and boot from there.
Tried to see if I could boot from the internal HD - it froze again. Tried to run Disk Utility, which recongized the hard drive under the name I gave it - and it was mounted. After running Disk Utility, the internal drive is no longer showing up on my desktop. It does show up in Disk Utility and in Drive Genius but will not mount.
I should also mention that my keyboard and trackpad stopped working after the last update. I have been using an auxiliary keyboard and trackball for years, and have no problem with them now.Can you boot a clone/DVD copy of OS X without input problems?
If so, I just think you have a failing HD. Usually, Apple updates don't go around completely messing up the OS. Try to backup what you can if you think that way, too.
Is there any other weird behavior when booting the clone?
Any weird noise from the internal drive?

After the last OSX update, my wifi no longer turns on. How can I fix this?
I did the update to 10.8.4, and immediately afterwards, I had no WIFI. Under system preferrences, it says that wifi is not turned on. If i attempt to turn it on via the task bar icon, it attempts to load networks, but can't find any. If I go to system preferrences, clicking the icon does nothing- it won't turn on. I need WIFI, but I have an older MacBook (circa 2008), and I don't have the means to be able to afford a new computer. HELP!
Make sure you have the latest versiom of AirPort Utility installed > AirPort Utility 6.3 for Mac

ISight camera stopped working for non-Apple software after last OSX update
I did the last OSX update last night and my iSight camera stopped appearing for Skype, Yahoo Messenger, and Zoom.us
The camera is accessible to FaceTime and PhotoBooth
I did a restore from time machine and the camera worked (the restore took 3 hours)
Then I applied the update again and the camera disappeared
Anyone else experience this?

Since the Safari app came with my iPad, it seems to be the default app for opening links in messages etc. and I cannot delete it to reinstall it. It stopped working when I did the last software update. Has anyone else had this problem? If so. Were you able to fix it?
Close all apps in multi-tasking view.
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

ClareAll of your apps should be in iTunes on the computer, simply sync them back.
If they are not, go into the purchase history and download them again. -
When i did the last update my pictures got scrambled and the dates are gone
When I did the last update my pictures got scrambled and the dates are gone and there's strange numbers and letters underneath them.
It says that to download past purchases, they must done under the apple ID that was used to purchase the items. I have an original ID for my iTunes on my computer. At some point I changed my apple ID on the iTouch since that email account was deleted. So I was syncing through iTunes under a different ID then was on my iTouch. Can I do anythng about that so I can check past purchases?
Since the apps aren't in the backup, how do I transfer the apps on my iTouch to my iTunes? -
I have 2 iphones syncing on one computer and on the same apple ID.
Before i updatad my Itunes to the last available update and my Iphones to 5.01
i had no problem draging jpg. and mp3 files into my iphones DCIM folder (the picture folder that opens
when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

Since the last AppleTV update I can no longer use home sharing. I have checked all IDs, re-booted iTunes, my router, and AppleTV, and checked the port settings in my firewall. nothing works. Is it me or did this last update really scew things up?

I'm now more than convinced that this is caused by the latest iTunes version.
As some others stated in other threads .... it seems that Apple doesn't really take care of this problem. So what if, if we could make them feeling the same pain as we do. ... Just by dropping them a mail as soon as we have the problem again. Not more often, we don't want to be unfair, but everytime it happens.

Since the last update to iTunes Version 10.6.1 (7) streaming content (Movies and TV shows) to Apple TVs and iPads has two major problems:
- Home Sharing is lost during streaming (streaming stops even if a large portion of the content is already preloaded)
- streaming stops and the main screen pops up (Home Sharing still available)
This happens sometime after some minutes, sometimes after several hours, but it surely happens.
I followed every advice I could found on this support website. There are now a lot of threads following this issue.
Sometimes it seems getting better, but hours later the same isues occured again. Watching content on this enviroment is a real pain and very frustrating.
As many others I'm now convinced that the latest update of iTunes caused this problem.
Our family enviroment contains the following Apple products:
- iTunes on a Win7 32 bit Noname PC (all content)
- second iTunes on a iMac with OS 10.6.8 (all content)
- third iTunes on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8 (daughter, only selected content)
- fourth iTunes on a Win7 32 Samsung Notebook (son, only selected content)
- all iTunes sharing the same Home Sharing ID
- 2 Apple TV second generation
- 1 Apple TV first generation
- 2 iPod touch (bought last year)
- 2 iPads (second generation)
all firmware or software are on latest available patchlevel.
At this moment, I can not recomend to others to buy this products.
I will drop this feedback everytime my famiily and I facing this problem... just to help you to get a better feeling of the urgency of this issue.

I backed up my iPhone to my computer before I did the ios 8 update and now when i go t restore it it tells me there isnt enough space on the iphone. I lost half of my pictures in my camera roll. Is there anyway i can get these back?
You did import these important photos over to an alternative storage medium, just like you would with any digital camera, right?

I did the lasted update 11.2 music is now distorted, like i'm underwater
I did the most recent update and now all my music sounds distorted, almost like i'm underwater and lead vocals are really faint. I have tried 3 different headphones on my 3rd gen Ipod Touch. I have tried the standard apple earbuds, Panasonic earbuds and Audio Technica M50's. The result is the same on all. I then tried all headphones on my laptop and they work fine. It appears that the problem is not with the headphones. The headphone jack is new, having just been replaced less than a month ago after completly shorting out. Can anyone let me know a fix for this issue?
I ran system restore and it said it wouldn't restore. so I rebooted my computer again and now it seems to be printing the Payment summary OK but, I won't know about the shipping label until I sell another item.
