Did the system updates prepping me for Lion cause these glitches?

Good Morning.
Last week System Updates sent me a bunch of updates to prep my MB for Lion. As I was planning to upgrade to Lion anyway I went ahead and did them. My MB was up to date on all systems and updates before I ran them. I have since decided to postpone the Lion update but now, I've got lots of wonky behavior. Nothing serious. No loss of files or anything. Just ill timed little glitches that are wreaking havoc on my productivity. Some of what is happening:
1) I can't bookmark anything. The pop down menu does as it should but only shows what I want to bookmark. The pop down for the destination folder isn't there. This is a biggee for me as I use this alot.
2) I get thrown off the net a LOT. I get the 'You are not connected to the internet' message at least 6 times a day. No rhyme or reason to it and my connection at the box is just fine. If I go through the motions of 'diagnostics' for a minute or two and clear the cache then it wil 'reconnect'.
3) Many sites that I had no problem accessing before while using Private Browsing will no longer work unless I have it turned off.
4) Sometimes when typing, the words post slower than typed and I have to wait for them to catch up so I have lots of errors to deal with.
These are just what I can remember right now. And what can I/should I do about it?

No, I do not have a DROID 1. Yes I have experienced slowness after an update without performing a system reset. Doing the exact same update after a system reset I did not experience the system sluggishness. Backing up your app settings and then reloading them after the update will do basically the same thing as nothing if those settings ARE THE REASON that is causing the system sluggishness. I suggested doing the system reset and then reinstalling the apps, not just reloading the app settings. Verizon is not responsible for your apps causing system sluggishness, they do not write or guarantee the performance of any apps you get off the app market. Whenever they even mention an app available on the marketplace, they will go so far to say "download these apps at your own risk." Another thing that may help without a system reset is to delete all of your apps and then reload them 1 or 2 at a time and waiting a few days to see how they interact with your system. If everything is still fine, go ahead with a few more. When you experience sluggishness, you have found your culprit.
