Did you have a problem with delivery of your new iPad?

I sure did! It never arrived.
Spent two hours trying to place the order with the Apple Store on the first day. I was promised delivery on Friday, March 16 by 3pm. On Sunday, March 11 received notice that FedEx picked it up but was holding for future delivery. This was in PA. I was notified on Thur morning it was being shipped to Indy. Rec'vd in the SE MI FedEx office in the morning and placed on the truck for delivery by 3pm. Around noon rec'vd notice that the shipment was scheduled for future delivery by 5pm.
So I wait around the house all day. 5pm passes and no FedEx. I contacted Apple to cancel the order. They said I needed to ship back the package. I DON'T HAVE THE PACKAGE - FedEx does!
This is very poor service. I could have gone out in the morning and picked up the new iPAD without any delay, but no I decided to order it ahead of time. Apple should have shipped them out right away. I'll just stick with my iPad 2 for now.

UPDATE:
FedEx was never able to deliver the new iPad as promised. I made Apple aware of it and they are tracking it back to them.
I'm very disappointed in FedEx as they were ill prepared to handle a large amount of deliveries. It would have been quicker and easier to just walk into the store on Friday and purchase one. I'll never pre-order again. I just don't have the time to stay a home for day's on end in hope that FedEx might show up.
Apple was very supportive during this process and I hope they look at FedEx's failure for future releases. As I said they are tracking the shipment back and issuing me a credit. For now, I'll just stick with my iPad 2.

    We're getting ready to release Flash Player 10.3 and we'd like to ask for your help and input.  If you encountered video related problems with the current version of Flash Player on sites like YouTube, we're especially interested to learn if the change's we've made to 10.3 help you.  We've tested this internally, and while we've seen a definite improvement, we really want to expand the scope of hardware and have those previously impacted try again.
    Here's all you need to do:
    1. Install the latest video drivers for your system (see step 3 on this page for video driver links and instructions.)  This is important, as older drivers contain limitations and bugs that can impact hardware acceleration in Flash Player.  Flash Player works with all video cards, but it's possible hardware acceleration might not be fully supported on older hardware.
    2. Download and install the browser appropriate Flash Player 10.3 from labs.adobe.com.  If you encounter problems installing, please let us know.  When upgrade issues occur, it's recommended you run the Flash Player uninstaller (Win, Mac), then try installing again.  
    3. Verify that the Flash setting "Enable hardware acceleration" is checked. 
    For instructions on finding this setting, please see step 1 of our Troubleshoot video playback issues article.   Ignore the instructions to uncheck this setting, we want hardware acceleration to be enabled (make sure “Enable hardware acceleration” is selected/checked.”)  If video still fails, please disable hardware acceleration and try again.
    4. Navigate to the following two video samples and verify that both video and audio play correctly:

    Turn off iMessage in your phones settings.   Apple devices can only use iMessage to other Apple devices.
    Turning off iMessage will allow the messages to go as regular text messages.

         it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

    Try the following to rule out a software problem:                 
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Problems with iOS 7 on new iPad

    I just got the new ios7 and now my iPad is not working, it freezes up and it Will not turn off or anything

    Resetting has NOT solved the problem, sorry.
    My iPad is running ios 7 and freezes when trying to download videos from itunes.  Did NOT have this problem with iOS 6.  Have rebooted several times... Even rebooted w/ red bar...iPad boots back up, then I try download again, it freezes and I have to reboot again.
    Is there a list of apps that have comparability problems with ios7?
      I know apple must be working on the problem, but if anyone has a even a temporary workaround, that would be great.

    You cannot set up more than one user account on the iPad if that is what you mean.
    Obviously families will share an iPad, but they are really meant to be single user devices with one Apple ID only on the iPad. Multiple ID's on one iPad can become a bit of a hassle to deal with.
    There is no way to lock apps or email accounts so that can become an issue as well. If you use the built in mail app for email, whoever is using the iPad can read your email.

    My iphone 4 hasn't really been a problem but I've noticed and all the people who call me notice that my phone is dropping a lot of calls. It's almost dropping every other call, and that is awful should I go back to the store and take it back? I don't want to waste anyone's time or should I be angry. I try not to get ****** over a phone but my 3GS never did this.

    You have 30 days to decide. Albuquerque has good to moderate 3G coverage. It is possible that ATT has again been overloaded with a mass of new phones and may need to make adjustments to their service. I am lucky to live in S Florida where coverage is great. However, if your coverage was marginal to begin with you may have trouble. I would let it sort itself out by July 24 the 30 day mark for most and decide than. The only thing to be mad about is not being able to have the phone you want at this time. In spite of what appears to be a large vocal group on this forum, who are really have problems, most of the 1.7 million phones are not. Again see what plays out in your 30day trial and make your decision accordingly.

  • V1.1 - Continuous Crashes! Did not have this problem with 1.0

    I posted a couple of days ago, still no changes. This is ridiculous. Adobe, why would you put out a faulty update? I had no crash problems with version 1.0 and though on the surface v 1.1 APPEARS to be faster, I can never keep the program on long enough to truly find out. When I try to change an image star rating or undo a processing edit, I get nothing but crashes...literally every couple of minutes.
    Now I've been having problems unistalling v1.1 so I can re-install v1.0. This is extremely frustrating, what are we supposed to do for help?

    P4 3.2ghz
    2.5 GB of RAM

    Well, one issue that you may be having is that your hard drive is
    reaching the practical limits of capacity, and is probably horribly
    fragmented.
    At 90% capacity a system drive basically becomes unusable, you are at
    83% capacity.
    It's something that needs attention that you might want to take a look
    at, since for a given library LR creates a billion gazillion files and
    folders (or at least it looks that way), and it becomes VERY disk
    intensive regardless of actual RAM.
    When you say it didn't see your previous catalog, have you tried opening
    and converting some old backup that you may have of the V1.0 versions. I
    haven't really been following this thread, but many people are just
    having trouble FINDING their old library for V1.1 to open and convert...
    once they find the old library, everything is hunky-dory. You may want

    I have the same problem today. Suddenly Appworld stopped accepting my AMEX credit card. I called AMEX and they told me that all is notmal from their sied and that they did authorize transactions. However, Approwld says that credit card cannot be accepted. WHAT A MESS!!! And there is NO EMAIL or phone number to contact regarding this problem which is quite RIDICULOUS !!!

    If you can't remember your security questions go to  Express Lane.
    select iTunes from the list, then iTunes store.        On the next screen select account Management.          There, select iTunes store account security and write that you would like to reset your security questions and / or answers.
    You should get an eMail reply over the next 24 hours.

  • Using windows 7 and FF4, randomly when I open FF all of my username and password info for my websites has been removed and i have to re enter my login info. I did not have this problem with 3.6.

    None of my security settings are being changed and this is not being caused by any anti spyware program. if I go back to 3.6 i do not have the problem. I have reinstalled FF4 and now, 4.0.1, thinking it might be corrected but still the problem persists and I get tired of having to reenter login information for 20 or more websites every couple of days.

    I also had terrible issues with 2 Wire Gateway and my mid-2010 MacBook Pro.  We changed to WPA2 and that seems to have fixed the problem.  The AT&T tech support person, Phillipines, was extremely helpful.  She went through network settings with me.  One interesting step was going into my DNS tab (Network Preferences and then Advanced Button) and replacing my entries with these:
    68.94.156.1
    68.94.157.1
    It's been several days and I've only seen a few random packet drops.  Still charging along at full signal strength.

    I have no idea what to do. Every time I try to connect, within seconds it disconnects... Because of this, I cant update my apps because they are over 50MB. So most of my apps are frozen...

    I also have this problem. One additional symptom is that though I can log on momentarily, almost immediately it disconnects me from WiFi, then brings up a "Log In" page with Apple's version of a 404 error. The URL that it appears to be trying to connect to is www.apple.com. Have tried powering down my phone, cycling my modem and router, re-entering my AppleID, forgetting the network and rejoining. Nada. Home network using Airport. This didn't happen while at work where we don't use Airport.
    This only happens with my iPhone 4S. My iPad 2 works just fine.
