Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
The previous owner still has to remove the device from their account in order for you to activate the iPod.

In AIR, you can drag'n drop text between text components like TextInput and TextArea. There's an AIR bug where doing so doesn't result in a TEXT_INPUT or a CHANGE event. This is a workaround for that bug so that we listen for a nativeDragDrop event.

Cannot Drop (but can Drag) Free Podcast into my ishuffle

please help. how do i drop my npr podcasts into my shuffle? i've read and searched this forum all over and have not had any luck.
i can play the podcast via my desktop, can drag the podcast into my library and into a seperate playlist, but cannot get the podcast to drop into my ishuffle. a symbol comes up (the slash through the circle). when i go to preferences there is NOT a tab for podcast. does that have something to do with why things are not working properly?
would appreciate help for novice user such as myself.

You may need to update the software that runs the Shuffle. Here's the download page for the current version. It's a multistep upgrade.
download the updater, run the installer which loads a new program on your computer in Start menu-> Programs -> iPod..., then run that new program and follow it's instructions to update the shuffle.

You attach files within the app that creates the file or within the app that the file is saved. For example you email photos from within the Photos App itself. Typically there will be an action icon within the app - an arrow icon many times - you tap on that to bring other options like Share - then Email.
Attachments must be mailed within the apps themselves.

i know how to add loops and wav files via itunes but does apple/garageband have anywhere other apple loops like those that come already loaded in garageband?

For Pete's sake. This is not rocket sience. What more details do you want. I want two tabs OPEN at the same time so I can copy from one to the other or drag and drop from one to the other.

You can copy text and hover that selected text with the left mouse button down on another tab on the tab bar until that tab opens and drop the text in a text field in that tab. You need to make sure that that text area is visible because you can't scroll the page. You can also tear off that tab (temporarily) to a new window and resize them to see both windows. Move the tab back to the other window once you are done if you prefer that.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Stuff into other spaces?

Invoke spaces, then invoke Exposé (or the other way around; either works).
You can also drag to the dock icon and hit the spacebar to open show the app.
You can also enable a 'hidden' dock preference to always spring open dock items:
Defaults write com.apple.dock enable-spring-load-actions-on-all-items 1
