Didn't back up iCloud and phone crashed, have I lost all photos
I haven't backed up iCloud since August and my phone crashed so I reset it, it reset only till last August, have I lost all photos since then? :(
If your previous iPhone was/is running iOS 7, after you install iOS 7 on the replacement iPhone you can restore the replacement iPhone from the backup of the previous iPhone.

I took it to a ohone shop today and they're going to try and fix the phone without altering the memory, but apparently that's quite hard to do with IPhones
That will void any support from Apple. If you take the device to an Apple store you would be able to get an out of warranty replacement. A third party shop may make things worse and end up costing you more. Apple does not sell parts so all the third party shop will be able to use are parts from damaged or stolen devices. If the third party shop cannot fix the device you will have to pay full price for a replacement phone rather than the discounted price from Apple. -
I have some songs/interludes on my Garageband app on my Iphone. I was planning on using some for my bands album. Now my Iphone won't turn on and I'm being told to restore the phone. Have I lost all my Garageband songs?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add a new account by tapping the "create Apple ID" button. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -

You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it. -

No way to trace it if you didn't active Find my Phone on your iPhone before you lost it.
Notify your carrier and your police of the loss. Chances are you will never get your phone back. -
i just came back from a family vacation and tried to sync my phone to my laptop. It didnt recognize my phone, and did i want to add device or restore to old device. i chose to restore and in doing so, i lost all the photos taken on our vacation. is there a way to retrieve photos? the completely disappeared from my iphone altogether. I'm not sure what your question is. If it's about your iTunes downloads/library then copy them back from your backup of your library and add it into your iTunes library via File > Add To Library.
Or you might be able to redownload some/all of your past purchases via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - if you've changed countries since buying them, or if the rights-holder has removed them from the store, then you won't be able to redownload them.
If you have non-iTunes purchased music on your phone and don't have a copy of it on your backup then there are some programs listed halfway down this page which should be able to copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. -
Changed from iCloud Backup to Mac Backup now I have less storage on my iPhone (I had 4GB free, then I had 1.2 MB free) , now I'm back on iCloud and it still has less free storage.. any help?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4. 16GBUnfortunately, the only way to remove a restrictions passcode is to restore your phone as new, without using a backup (because the backup simply restores the restriction passcode back to your phone). You could, of course, restore the backup again and save as much of your data as you can before restoring it as new again. For example, you could use an app like My Contacts Backup to back up your contacts as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to your self. You can later open this email on your phone after restoring it as new and tap the attachment to import your contacts back to your phone. You can also import your photos and videos to your computer as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer, then sync them back to your phone later or transfer them back over your wifi using an app like PhotoSync.

If you have no backups, and data has been lost, then it's lost forever. The rest of your data will inevitably follow if you don't back up.

I just bought an iPhone 4s and synched it yesterday. I backed up the old phone (a 3GS), then restored all those files to the 4S. It generally worked well, except all SMS messages after October 20 were not there. How do I get the newest messages from the old phone on the new phone? (I wouldn't mind getting ALL the SMS messages...)

You don't have the game or the game data?
Games can be redownloaded in the App Store app. If the game offers in-app purchases, there is a setting in the game that allows you to redownload past purchases.
If you haven't back up, my first question is why? Even if you get the game back, your progress may not be retained. You may still have hope if the developers save your user progress either on their serers or in Game Center. You can only try and hope that is the case.
