Diff b/w group vs local currency (both curr same) in Inventry GL A/c

There is a difference  b/w group vs local currency on trial balance (where both currencies are same) in Inventory GL account, which are supposed to match. Any Probable reasons...

You can check the line items in the FBL3N and then can compare the local currency and group currency amount for various lines. (Both these fields are available in the output layout.)

  • Actual Costing - CKME update in group and local currency - split

    Hi Experts,
We are using Actual Costing and running CKMLCP and CKME to update our standard price, in local currency and in group currency.
The result it is one PR accounting document, with group currency and local currency booked in it.
Now, we have this requeriment where they want to have 1 PR document with local currency booked and $0 group currency and another PR document with local currency as $0 and Group Currency booked.
It is like doing MR21 and not doing automatic translation into foreign currency, that is what we want.
So, the question is, Is there a way of archiving this in a simple way?
    Thanks for your comments!
    Enrique

    Hi Enrique,
The final step in CKMLCP enters future prices for all materials based on the actual prices of the period.
You could Use CKMPRPN the 'maintenance of future prices' with it's rule based approach to change the data before activating with CKME.
    You could
    1. delete the group currency future prices (CKMPRPN)
    2. release the new standard prices in company code currency (CKME)
    3. create future prices in group currency by adopting the (previous month's) V-price as future price (CKMPRPN)
    4. release the new standard prices in group code currency (CKME)
I am not sure if you could  also distinguish the validity dates between both currencies with CKMPRPN. If yes, that might be better than deleting and rebuilding the price. You could change the date for one currency into the future, use CKME, change the date back and use CKME again.
A disadvantage of the procedure would be that you will not release the cost component split from CKMLCP. In step 4 only the new price will be released and the split will be created from the former split. In step 2 the original split from CKMLCP will be activated.

I am handling and issue wherein I am finding a difference in the FS10N GL line items.

I have 3 GLs that I am investifgating-
    GR/IR exp offset oth- P& L type
    GR/IR -analysis adj - Other  -B/S type
    Vendor control -Other - P& L type
All the above mentioned are GR/IR relevant accounts.

    Hi Madhu,
I did not yet close the Defect but had to raise a query with SAP about the same.
I do not really know the symptoms of your issue yet.
What I have done is -I got the Business run F.13 for all old uncleared stock for all previous years that do not make sense to be still available uncleared in the system.
Then get the open items identified by the Business so that we can decide if we can clear the unclearable open items that we encounter after running F.13 and use MR11 this time but with careful selection and approval.
Once the available open items are in manageable numbers the performance of F.19 will increase.
Also, you may think about implementing 2 notes after checking if they are already there in your system via transaction SNOTE-
    1058971 and 1233775.
If you still have queries upon this, do let me know and I shall try to cater better understanding upon the same.
    Thanks & regards

  • Difference in Local currency and Group currency Balance

    Hi,
    I have a query where ...
Company code has 2 currencies ;Group currency is USD and Document Currency is GBP
This GL account is zero balance account . It has alredy set up in Document spitting customization setting
Through FB03 normal view we can see the zero balance  but while displaying the document general ledger view with option of group currency  ; it is showing zero balance for the local currency and  balance amount  for group currency USDu2026
Can I get any suggesion where should I need to check for this?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hiten,
We are on ECC6.0. For us the problem is ongoing production orders.
Based on SAP notes about excluding zero balance orders from settlement process, I tried to close such orders but system does not allow it as it sees the parallel currecy balance.

  • Activatate second local currency(Group currency)

    hi Experts ,
I am going to activate activate second local currency(Group currency) on the current company [ which i close 2 years on it ]
i face serious problem to evaluate the amount has been entered for the previous year is there any to way to evaluate it .

    Hello Emad,
To avoid many future trouble, it will be a nice idea to activate group currency at the beginning of a financial year. Acitivate at country level (OY01) and at co.code level(Ob22). Also make sure to clear all open items before activating.
How to evaluate the historical data after activation of group currency needs to be tested.Adding a new currency needs depth analysis about the impact to various modules.  Pl see the note-399919 which details the process for maintaining additional currencies.

  • Doc. currency vs local currency diff in parked document

    Hi Team,
i was parked a document with document currency USD, but the local currency is CAD.
when i opened the parked document, document in USD currency showing debit and credits are matching woth zero balance, but when i clicked on local currency the document is showing 0.03 difference.
    any suggestions(i used 4.5 version)
    thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi, Ravi:
In F-63, there is a checkbox "Only transfer amnts in document curr. invoice", it is used as followings:
If we sets this indicator it translates the doc. currency into local currency at the time of parked document.
If we not set this indicator it translates the doc. currency into local currency when posting of document.
Eg: We are parking a document with doc. currency in USD @40
the next day we are posted that document then it is @42-
the system takes the exchange rate from the header which was specified in the parked document @40- only.
If we not set this indicator it will take at the time of posting of document @42-
    Hope it will help.
    Best Regards, Lawrence

    Hi,
Check the program documentation(shift +F1), blue i icon in application menu after executing the T.code.
    Short text
    Customer Balances in Local Currency
    Description
The balances from the following transactions can be issued with the customer balance list:
    Standard G/L transactions
Special G/L transactions (per special G/L indicator)
The following figures (for a particular month only) are displayed in local currency:
Balance at period start ( balance carried forward and balance of the periods before the reporting periods)

The following data is issued at the end of the list for each local currency:
    Totals per company code
Final total across all company codes
    Output and Sort Sequence
You can choose from two sort sequences for the accounts. Sort sequence "1" uses the reconciliation account as the sort criteria whereas sort sequence "2" uses the account number.
With both of these sort sequences you can choose between a standard version and a corporate group version. In the standard version, the accounts are listed per company code. In the corporate group version the company codes are listed per account.
You can use the "Summarization level" parameter to specify whether the data is to be issued in detailed or summarized form.
The following overview shows the relation between
    The account sort sequences
The standard or corporate group versions
    The summarization levels
Account sort sequence 1 - standard version
    Data sorted by:
    Company code
    Reconciliation account
    Account number
    Summarization levels:
0 = No summarization (total per open item account)
1 = Summarization of the open item accounts (total per reconciliation                                                account)
2 = Summarization of the reconciliation accounts (total per company code)
3 = End totals sheet only (totals across all company codes)
Account sort sequence 1 - corporate group version
    Data sorted by:
    Reconciliation account
    Account number
    Company code currency key
    Company code
    Summarization levels:
0 = No summarization (total per company code)
1 = Summarization of company codes (total per currency key)
2 = Summarization of open item accounts (total per reconciliation                                           account)
3 = End totals sheet only (totals across all company codes)
Account sort sequence 2 - standard version
    Data sorted by:
    Company code
    Account number
    Summarization levels
0 = No summarization (total per open item account)
1 = Summarization of open item accounts (total per company code)
2 = End totals sheet only (totals across all company codes)
Account sort sequence 2 - corporate group version
    Data sorted by:
    Account number
    Currency key
    Company code
    Summarization levels
0 = No summarization (total per company code)
1 = Summarization of the company codes (total per currency key)
2 = End totals sheet only (totals across all company codes)
    Recording data on microfiche
You can request information for recording on microfiche. The fixed part of the microfiche information is documented under the parameter for it. The variable part, i.e. the report-specific part, has the following structure:
    In the standard version:
    Company code                 4 characters
Reconciliation account      10 characters (only with sort sequence 1)
    Account number              10 characters
    In the corporate group version:
Reconciliation account      10 characters (only with sort sequence 1)
    Account number              10 characters
    Currency key                 5 characters
    Company code                 4 characters

  • Different Aquisition Value (APC) for group and local depreciation area?

    Hello,
Is it possible to have different APC/acquisition value in your group and local depreciation area? We want to book the net book value as APC for local depreciation area while gross APC and accumulated depreciation are recorded in group depreciation area.
    Group Depreciation Area
    APC- 100
    Accum Dep- 20
    Local Depreciation Area
    APC-80
I'd highly appreciate if you can give inputs.

    Hi,
You did exactly whats required to acheive your requirement.
There is no more further implications by removing the tick for a while and reverting after go live.
While doing AS91, if you enter the APC value for 01 area, then that value will be automatically populated to the other dependent areas of 01 area. ( In case, if your other areas are in diff currency also, system will converts the 01 area value in to other area's curr by taking the exch rate).
Here you can still change the APC values for the all other areas. (The other areas should have been unticked for Identical APC value check box in OABC).
So while creating AS91, in tkaover values tab, enter APC value 80 in your 01 area and manually change the value in your group area. (REmove 80 and enter 100).
For accum dep, in takeover values tab, enter accum dep 20 in group area only. (like OABC, in OABD also the other areas should be unticked for the identical value check box).
    This will resolve your issue.
    Thanks,
    Srinu

  • New additional local currency in a productive system

    Dear all,
Has anyone added a new local currency for a company code that has transactional data?
We basically have one Irish company code that was set up with GBP as local currency code because it is at the moment part of a British company (it is not a legal entity itself). But we would now to be able to hold our Balance Sheet and P&L in EUR (which is in any case the document currency for most transactional data), especially looking at a future split of both entities.
I understand that it is possible to add a second local currency (EUR set up as currency type 40 or 50 for example) even though there is transactional data in the system, but what are the implications? Can this only be done at year end or could we use any period end to start using this second currency? Would we necessarily need to convert all historical data to this second currency as well?
    Many thanks

Hi Chirag, thanks for your response. I had had a look to that note already but it does not seem to give a clear answer since it recommends to contact the SAP SLO group to get an assessment (and quotation) of the work to be done.
I believe now that we need to decide whether to add a second local currency (EUR) to the existing company code or create a new company code with the correct currency settings and then migrate the old one into the new one. I am not sure how easy this sort of "migration" within the same SAP system is. We need to assess the costs and benefits of both options before we can take a decision.
Any opinions on this are greatly appreciated.

  • Local Currency of Payroll

    Hi All,
I am implementing Payroll for two seperate countries at the same time for the same company. These countries have two different company codes with company code currency of USD for both. The company codes have there respective country keys assigned as A1 and A2.
In Payroll the local currency picked up is same as the one assigned through transation Oe00 to these conutry keys A1 and A2 and not company code currency. Which for me is fine. The problem is that the local currency is picked up same for both A1 and A2, since i assigned 99 country grouping for both.
I require that local currency for both countries should be picked up seperately. How can i make this work?
    Thanks

    hello,
    this is not  possible.
exists only one local currency for each country payroll
that means yu can enter in it 0008 all kinds of currencies, but payroll itself has only one currency. the system makes a conversion to this currency.
you can modify it with an badi but the conversion is done in any way
    regards

  • Profit Center Local Currency (Currency Type 90)

We are in the middle of implementation of SAP and our curreny setting is as the following:
    Group Currency: USD
Controlling Area Currency: Currency Type 30 (USD)
FYI we are also implementing multiple valuation as the following (T-Code 8KEM):
    Currency Type    Valuation
    10                     Legal
    30                     Group
    10                     Profit Center
Now we set up Profit Center local Currency as Curreny Type 90 (Profit Center invoice currency) in IDR since we want to have different currency then our Group and Controlling Area currency (USD).
However I am just worried that this will cause inconsistency in Profit Center especially between FI and CO.
Anybody has experience whether it is safe to use curreny type 90 as Profit Center local Currency?

    Hi Ernst,
Did you ever get a solution for your query. I am facing a similar situation.
In my case the company code currency is USD and controlling area currency is also USD. I am not sure if I should leave the currency field blank in the PCA controlling area settings or populate it with 30 or 90? 90 to me means I am recording PCA currency again as USD when the system anyways records the transactions in both the transaction and local currency. 30 makes sense to me where I can choose the group currency EUR but then the currency setting of PCA is inconsistent with that of the controlling area.
Would appreciate if you can advice on the matter.
    Happy New Year
    SB
