  • Diff btw ITS and webdynpro

    Hi All
Can anybody throw a flavour on Diff between ITS and webdynpro
In SRM 5.0 they are using ITS But in SRM 6.0 they are using webdynpro technology
    regards
    dugyala

    Hello Sandeep,
I am not too technical but ITS & webdynpro technologies pertain to the web interfacing with the application servers i.e.when a user makes a transaction thro' web browser the ITS /Web dyn pro enables to reach the application server and gets back the result/retrieval of the required data in to user's presentation layer.
It is learnt that the Web dynpro technology is faster in retrieval of the data compared to the ITS.

  • Diff btw stop and Continue

What is the diff between Stop and Continue?

    <b>STOP</b>
    Effect
The statement STOP is only to be used in executable programs and in the following event blocks:
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN (without additions)
    START-OF-SELECTION
    GET
You leave these event blocks via STOP, and the runtime environment triggers the event END-OF-SELECTION.
    Note
The statement STOP is forbidden in methods and, since Release 6.10, leads to an uncatchable exception during the processing of screens called with CALL SCREEN and in programs not called with SUBMIT.
    Example
Ending the event blocks GET sbook after max postings have been issued, and branching to END-OF-SELECTION.
    <b>CONTINUE</b>
    Effect
The CONTINUE statement can only be used in loops. If it is used, the current loop pass is ended immediately and the program flow is continued with the next loop pass.
    Example
A loop pass is exited using CONTINUE if the loop index sy-index is an odd number.
    DATA remainder TYPE i.
    DO 20 TIMES.
      remainder = sy-index MOD 2.
      IF remainder <> 0.
        CONTINUE.
      ENDIF.
      WRITE / sy-index.
    ENDDO.

  • Compression diff. btw "video" and "DV/DVCpro-NTSC"?

    Hello,
I would like to export a sequence in FCP as a quicktime file. My source material is mini-Dv NTSC and was captured as such. What is the best compression setting for me to use in export--> using Quicktime conversion, in order for me to retain optimal quality. I guess I would have put compression to "none" but I don't have that option under settings --> compression settings. I am wondering between "video" and "DV/DVCpro-NTSC", I also notice that they take diffrent amount of time to export, does this have anything to do with the quality? I will be outputting to DVCAM and making transfers to BetaSP.
    Thanks alot,
    Lela

It's really just a habit I got into back when I was having trouble playing back long, heavy composite projects. It worked, and now, because it doesn't usually take alot of time (gotta go out for coffe and a smoke anyway) I still do it.
As for the archiving. My stuff goes to most clients on Betacam and I do make a DV copy. I just like to keep the show around for a bit, till I'm sure they aren't going to ask for another Betacam copy for a while. So maybe "archive" wasn't the right word.
    Have fun

  • Diff btw RLINK and xMII

    Hi,
can anybody please clarify my doubt
what is the difference between RLINK PPPI for SAP  and xMII?

    Vijaya,
RLINK PPPI is developed by OSI the same people who devliver the Plant Information (PI) historian and no doubt RLINK is developed primarily for use with this system.  Whereas xMII will work with any historian that supports OPC or OLEDB including PI.  In short the PPPI product is probably not as flexible nor as robust as xMII.

  • Difference Between Crystal Report Template and Sub Report

I am not able to get the Report Template Option/menu.
I am working with Visual Studio 2005 , Crystal Report Version 10.2
Do i need to have Crystal Report Server in order to work with Template.
Also i will like to know the diff. between Template and Sub Report?

    Hello,
The Report Template Wizard is not part of Crystal in .NET. You need to upgrade to the full version of Crystal Reports.
Template is a base report to work from. Subreport is another report object that can be inserted into a section of the main report.

what is the diff btw start of selection and end of selection

    HI Raja,
    Check out the link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/9f/db9a0735c111d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm
<b>START-OF-SELECTION</b>      Point after processing the selection screen
The event START-OF-SELECTION gives you the possibility of creating a processing block after processing the selection screen and before accessing database tables using a logical database. You can use this processing block, for example, to set the values of internal fields or to write informational statements onto the output screen.
At the START-OF-SELECTION event, also all statements are processed that are not attached to an event keyword except those that are written behind a FORM-ENDFORM block
<b>END-OF-SELECTION      </b>          Point after processing all lines offered
    by the logical database.
To define a processing block after the system has read and processed all database tables of a logical database, use the keyword END-OF-SELECTION.
This is the last of the events called by the runtime environment to occur. It is triggered after all of the data has been read from the logical database, and before the list processor is started. You can use the corresponding event block to process and format the data that the program has stored in internal tables or extracts during the various GET events.
The following program is connected to the logical database F1S.
    REPORT EVENT_DEMO.
    NODES SPFLI.
DATA: SPFLI_TAB TYPE SORTED TABLE OF SPFLI
WITH UNIQUE KEY CITYFROM CITYTO CARRID CONNID,
    SPFLI_LINE TYPE SPFLI.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    WRITE 'Demo program for END-OF-SELECTION'.
    SKIP.
GET SPFLI FIELDS CARRID CONNID CITYFROM CITYTO.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING SPFLI TO SPFLI_LINE.
    INSERT SPFLI_LINE INTO TABLE SPFLI_TAB.
    END-OF-SELECTION.
    LOOP AT SPFLI_TAB INTO SPFLI_LINE.
    WRITE: / SPFLI_LINE-CITYFROM,
    SPFLI_LINE-CITYTO,
    SPFLI_LINE-CARRID,
    SPFLI_LINE-CONNID.
    ENDLOOP.
This program fills a sorted table with data from the logical database in the GET SPFLI event, and displays them in a list in the END-OF-SELECTIOn event. Depending on what you enter on the selection screen, the beginning of the list display might look like this:
    For rest of events check:

May i know what's the diff b/w creation of Report in Shared folder and in My folder.
    Is there any features changes.

  • WHAT IS THE DIFF B/N DRILLDOWN REPORT AND INTERACTIVE REPORT

    HI
EXPERTS CAN U HELP ME FOR THIS
    THANKU

    Hi....
There is no difference between drill down and interactive report, they are the same.
With drilldown reporting, SAP provides you with an interactive information system to let you evaluate the data collected in your application. This information system is capable of analyzing all the data according to any of the characteristics that describe the data. You can also use any key figures you wish to categorize your data. You can display a number of objects for a given key figure, or a number of key figures for a given object. In addition, the system lets you carry out any number of variance analyses (such as plan/actual comparisons, fiscal year comparisons, comparisons of different objects, and so on).
You can produce both simple, data-directed lists (basic reports) and complex, formatted lists in drilldown reporting (form reports).
Drilldown report provides you with comfortable functions for navigating through your data. For example, you can jump to the next level of detail or the next report object on the same level, hide individual levels and switch between the detail and drilldown lists. It also provides a number of additional functions which let you process lists interactively (sorting, conditions, ranking lists, and so on). SAP Graphics, SAPmail and the Excel List Viewer are also integrated into drilldown reporting.
The drilldown functions are divided into three groups which differ in the number of functions available. That way each user can choose the functional level most suited for his requirements.
In addition to the online functions for displaying reports, drilldown reporting also provides functions which let you print reports. A number of formatting functions are available to let you determine the look of your printed reports (page breaks, headers and footers, underscores, and so on).
The menus and the functions available directly on the drilldown report make it easy to use the information system.
    What is an Interactive Report?
An interactive report generally works in the following fashion:
    1. Basic list is displayed.
    2. User double clicks on any valid line
    or
User selects a line and presses as button on the tool bar.
    3. The corresponding event is triggered
    4. Then in the code, the line on which action was done, is read.
    5. Depending on the values in that selected line, a secondary list is displayed.
    6. Steps from 2-5 are repeated till the end.
From the above explanation, I believe, its clear that, the 20th list, will essentially depend on the "selected line" of 19th list. According to your question, you want to move to 20th list directly, without "a prior list". May I know the exact requirement so that, an appropriate solution can be suggested?
Again, your question was, how to move to 20th list directly on pressing of execute button. Its not possible to move to 20th list. You must cross over a basic list, before you can go to a different list level, using the code given by Pavan.
    What are Drilldown reports?
The lines of basic list of a drilldown report when clicked, will take the user to the corresponding (standard) object's display.
For eg: Suppose your report's primary component is purchase requisition, (assume you are printing PR details), and the basic list displays details of many PRs.
Eg: when clicked on a particular line of the PR basic list, it takes you to std t-code me53 (display of purchase requisition). This is the 'Drill-down' functionality.
For this, in the at-line selection of your program, as per the above ex: you'll set the parameter ID of PR number BAN (that you can get from Data element) in memory (using set parameter id) and then calling the corresponding transaction (usually skipping initial screen of the std t-code).
Likewise, if it's Material Number (Matnr), you'll be displaying MM03 transaction w.r.t. the line's matnr
    Hope it will help u

  • Whats is the diff. btw classic badi and new badi

    Hi guy,
I just found out that there is classic and new badi implementation in SE19, I would like to check out with u guys on what is the diff btw the two?
    thanks.

<b>Differences Between Classic and New BAdIs</b>
Classic and new BAdIs differ in a number of features that are important for migration:
    1. BAdI object
    a.      With classic BAdIs, a BAdI object is created by calling a factory method, and referenced via a reference variable of the type of the BAdI interface.
    b.      With new BAdIs, a BAdI object is created via the ABAP statement GET BADIas a handle for the calls of BAdI methods, and referenced via a reference variable of the type of the BAdI. A BAdI object is an instance of an internal BAdI class, which otherwise is invisible to the outside.
    2. Passing comparison values for the filter
    a.      With the classical BAdIs, the filter values are stored in a structure and passed with the call of the BAdI methods.
    b.      With the new BAdIs, the comparison values for the filters used to search for implementations are passed when the BAdI object is created with the GET BADIstatement.
There is no way of migrating the call of the factory method one-to-one into the ABAP statement, because GET BADI can also return an existing BAdI object, which is not possible with the factory method.
    3. Calling BAdI methods
Passing comparison values for the filter
    a.      A classic BAdI can be called only once and the call positions are registered centrally.
    b.      With new BAdIs, multiple calls are possible and the call positions are not registered centrally.
For the above reasons, an automatic call migration is not possible.

  • Diff b/w snapshot baselines and AWR reports

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell what is the difference b/w snapshot baselines and AWR reports. I have gone through couple of articles and i feel both are same, however given different names.
    Am I correct?
    Thanks

AWR report is a report comparing the pair of snapshots and thus giving you the details of what has happened between that inerval!
The baselines is that "interesting time period" which you define telling to oracle and is used by oracle to compute the sql response tiime of your db with it in the subsequent timings. So both are completely different actually!
