Diff F.13-F.19 and MMPV-MMPI

Hai Can any one tell me diff.. between F.13 and F.19 and MMPV and MMPI
i know that F.13and F.19 used to clear GR /IR account but in which
situation we will use this t-codes
In the same way we use to close/open posting periods in MM we use MMPV
or MMPI but in which situation we use this t-code
And what is parameters for executing F.31
Thanks and Regards
Surendra babu.

I'm not an MM person (FI) - but it's my understanding....
MMPV/MMPI are used at month end to open and/or initialize the material master posting periods (so that GR and IR can be posted) in these periods.
F.13 We automated weekly for GRIR clearing by assignment field (PO #).  This clears the GR against the IR if both exist.
F.19  An interesting T-code - I'm not totally clear on this t-code, but it appears to be something like an accural at month end and the reversal of this the 1st day of the next month for "Invoiced but not yet delivered" or "Delivered but not yet invoiced".  If you run this (which I don't think many companies actually run), select the OPEN ITEM only on the selections tab.  Otherwise, you'll see all (even postings that can't occur due to them being cleared already by F.13).

  • What is diff b/w sy-index and sy-tabix

    Hi all,
Can u plz give me the diff b/w sy-index and sy-tabix exactly and how it works.
    Thanks & Regards
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
    <b>1.SY-INDEX</b>
    <b>-></b>Current loop pass
<b>-></b>In a DO or WHILE loop, SY-INDEX contains the number of loop passes including the current pass.
    <b>2.SY-TABIX</b>
    <b>-></b>Current line index
Current line of an internal table. SY-TABIX is set by the statements below, but only for index tables.
The field is either not set or is set to 0 for hashed tables.
<b>APPEND</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the last line of the table, that is, it contains the overall number of entries in the table.
    <b>
COLLECT</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the existing or inserted line in the table. If the table has the type HASHED TABLE, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
<b>LOOP AT</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the current line at the beginning of each loop lass. At the end of the loop, SY-TABIX is reset to the value that it had before entering the loop. It is set to 0 if the table has the type HASHED TABLE.
<b>READ TABLE</b> sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line read. If you use a binary search, and the system does not find a line, SY-TABIX contains the total number of lines, or one more than the total number of lines. SY-INDEX is undefined if a linear search fails to return an entry.
    <b>
SEARCH</b> <itab> FOR sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line in which the search string is found.
I think that it clears ur doubt.
    <b>Thanks,
    Venkat.O</b>

  • Diff  b/n sy-tabix and sy-indx

    diff  b/n sy-tabix and sy-indx ?

    Hi Henry,
SY-INDEX is the value of the current iteration. It is applicable for the following programming constructs in ABAP -
    DO...ENDDO.
    WHILE...ENDWHILE.
SY-TABIX (TABle IndeX) is applicable to internal tables. If you scroll down in the link which Eddie has given, you will find a more detailed explanation for sy-tabix and which statements affect its value.

  • Wht is diff b/w sy-ucomm and ok code

    hi,
    what is diff b/w sy-ucomm and ok-code
    Regards,
    Rani.

    Hi,
sy-ucomm is for doing the functions what the user wishes to do at that particular event. You use it in menus and other place . this mainly in using <pfstatus>
ok_code is generally used in screen as of I have used. You will define the function in the screen. and you can use it in the main program.
ok_code acts just as a temporary variable that stores the value of sy-ucomm.
When user interacts with the screen elements, the function code that you have assigned is filled in the sy-ucomm field which is turn gets reflected in OK_CODE.
In your ABAP programs, you should work with the OK_CODE field instead of SY-UCOMM. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the ABAP program has full control over fields declared within it, and secondly, you should never change the value of an ABAP system field. However, you should also always initialize the OK_CODE field in an ABAP program for the following reason:
In the same way that the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program and the system field SY-UCOMM receive the contents of the corresponding screen fields in the PAI event, their contents are also assigned to the OK_CODE screen field and system field SYST-UCOMM in the PBO event. Therefore, you must clear the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program to ensure that the function code of a screen is not already filled in the PBO event with an unwanted value. This is particularly important when the next PAI event can be triggered with an empty function code (for example, using ENTER). Empty function codes do not affect SY-UCOMM or the OK_CODE field, and consequently, the old field contents are transported.

  • Diff. b/w 3.5 and 3.0b

    Hi bwers,
Please let me know the diff. b/w 3.5 and 3.0b. Tell me in an explanation way rather than sending the documents. Thanks in advance.
And one more query is i have a cube consisting of a 3requests in green and 1 red request and a 3 requests green..  Is it possible to delete that red request and if so what will be the affect ..

    Hi,
the main difference of 3.5 in respect to 3.0b is the broadcasting and some other front-end functions... The datawarehousing workbench is the same.
Business content is also enhanced in 3.5....
    SEM-BPS also enhanced...
Yes you can delete that red request and you will then miss this data. Check if this request needs to posted in the cube. If yes then analyze why it failed. Take the corrective measures and try to repost it.
If you don't need it then just delete it.
    hope this helps,
    Olivier.

  • Diff B/W master data and transaction data

    Hi all,
What is the main Diff B/W master data and transaction data.  give me some example ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Krish...

    hi krish,
MASTER Data is the data that exists in the organization like employee details, material master, customer master, vendor master etc. These are generally created once.
Master data are distributed throughout the company, they are often not standardised and often redundant. As a result it is very costly to offer efficient customer service, keep track of supply chains and make strategic decisions. With SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM) these important business data from across the company can be brought together, harmonised and made accessible to all staff and business partners. As a key component of SAP NetWeaver, SAP MDM ensures data integrity via all IT systems.
Regardless of the industry, companies often work with different ERP and Legacy systems. The result: the business processes are based on information about customers, partners and products which is displayed in different ways in the systems. If the data are recorded manually, there are more inconsistencies: some data sets are entered several times, others cannot be retrieved by all divisions of the company.
As corporate applications are becoming increasingly complex and produce ever greater amounts of data, the problem is intensified further. Nevertheless, your employees must work with the inconsistent data and make decisions on this basis. The lack of standardised master data easily leads to wrong decisions, which restrict efficiency and threaten customer satisfaction and profitability.
In a word: in order to save costs and ensure your company’s success it is necessary to consolidate master data about customers, partners and products, make them available to all employees beyond system boundaries and use attributes valid company-wide for the purpose of description.
TRASNACTION Data - These are the business documents that you create using the master data - Purchase orders, sales orders etc

  • Diff b/w occurs 0 and occurs1?

    Hi
what is the main diff b/w occurs 0 and occurs1?
    thanks and regards,
    sap abap.

OCCURS 0 creates an internal table with no rows pre-buit in it upon creation.
OCCURS 1 creates an internal table with 1 row pre-built in it upon creation.
The changing of OCCURS upon creation is really only benenficial when you KNOW ahead of time that a certain number (or large number) of rows WILL NEED to be created on-the-fly.  In these cases, you will get better run-time execution by having an OCCURS 10000, for example.IF you know that at least 10,000 rows will be needed, this will help your prog to run faster as it does not need to expand the table EACH time (or at least until it reaches beyond 10K).
Creating the additional rows during r/t is expensive, if you can have the foresight to know in advance for large progs, you can help the run-time engine.
Don't forget points for helpful answers.

  • Diff b/w reference type and elementary type

    hi all
can any one what is the diff b/w reference type and elementary type in data element ....
    thanks
    lokesh

The data type attributes of a data element can be defined by:
Specifying a domain whose attributes are copied by the data element.
Specifying a build-in type where the data type, number of places, and possibly decimal places can be directly specified.
Specifying a reference type, i.e. reference to a class, an interface, a type defined in the Dictionary, a built-in type, or a generic reference to ANY or DATA.
In the maintenance screen you can set the option you require by setting the appropriate flag (domain, built-in type, reference type) and filling in the corresponding input fields.
A reference type is a reference to another type. There are the following kinds of reference types:
Reference to a class or an interface
Reference to a type defined in the Dictionary
Generic reference to ANY, OBJECT, or DATA
Reference to a built-in Dictionary type with specification of the length and possibly also the decimal places
You can use a reference type to define the data type properties for a data element, or for typing the component of a structure or the line type of a table type.
In the field Referenced type, enter the name of a class, an interface, the generic references DATA, OBJECT, ANY, or the name of a type defined in the Dictionary. If the reference type is to be a predefined Dictionary type, choose the reference to the predefined type. Enter the number of characters and, if required, the number of decimal places.
    where as
The data class describes the data format at the user interface.
If a table field or structure field or a data element is used in an ABAP program, the data class is converted to a format used by the ABAP processor. When a table is created in the database, the data class of a table field is converted to a corresponding data format of the database system used.
You can find a detailed description of the data classes allowed in the ABAP Dictionary in Overview of the Data Classes.

  • Diff b/w Data warehouse and Business Warehouse

    Hi all,
what is the Diff b/w Data warehouse and Business Warehouse?

    hi..
The diferrence between Datawarehousing and Business Warehouse are as follows.
DataWarehousing is the concept and BIW is a tool that uses this concept in Business applicaitons.
DataWarehousing allows you to analyze tons of data (millions and millions of records of data) in a convinent and optimum way, it is called BIW when applied to Business applications like analyzing the sales of a company.
Advantages- Consedering the volume of business data, BIW allows you to make decisions faster, I mean you can analyze data faster. Support for multiple languges easy to use and so on.

    Hi,
With respect to functionality both are same.
But in ABAP we only have Primary key for the Database tables declared in the Data Dictionary.
Unique is generally is the term used with declaring key's for internal tables.
Both primary and Unique keys can identify one record of a table.
