Diff. in AA and FI - - Urgent

Hi all,
FI has bigger amounts when compared with AA.
How can we correct the same in AA without effecting FI ?
The actual problem is the asset transfer date is 31.12.2004 and the year 2005 is Closed.
We found that FI has higher values when compared to AA and we would like to post in AA without effecting FI.
The Co. Code status is 2(Test company code with data transfer always allowed), and when I choose transaction AS92 to change the error message is “Closed fiscal year does not agree with legacy data transfer date”
Can we post in AA without effecting FI?
Please suggest any alternative.
Thanks in advance.
Srinivas

Hi ,
you can either undo the fiscal year close .
please go thru the SAP menu in asset accounting - periodic posting -- closing ..
right now i don't have access to sap system so can not suggest the tcode directly .
another option is in img menu in  asset acounting - legacy data transfer --
you can change the date .
but I am not sure of your question that u want to post only in AA without affecting FI ..
whenever u post to AA it will have effect to FI ,you can do the vice versa means posting to FI with out affecting AA .
you can use tcode ABF1 for doing so ..

Kedar

    hi Pradeep,
Thanks for reply..........Actually I want schedule now planned orders........I am using planning strategy 40 for hight level FERTt material and 70 for HALB lower lever assy........with mixed indicator 1..........so that with mixed indicator I am trying to get fixed pegging relationship between finshed product and assy planned order..........But eariler my settings were to start in past say 5 days for order in OPU5........with backward scheduling.......but because of this I am start dates for planned orders were getting in past...............Then I removed setting 5 days to 0 days for "Start in past" so that system will go backward for scheduling and then start forward automatically if start date is going in past.........and it should moved all order with their pegging relationship.................This is the reason I raised question saying difference in both code........as I had not changed setting in OPU3............
But my problem is that system is doing scheduling and when dates are calculated by backwards and determined dates are going backwards i.e. in past then scheduling is going again forward and this is I want......but start date for order assy level all orders are from today's date........But actually I want to shift all assy level orders with pegging relationship............which is not happening.........pl guide if have any idea............thanks in advance........

And is there any difference in accounts to be maintained in both procedure.
Can any one please tell me both Tax procedure methods in details..
    Do the needful help,
    Thanks

    Hi Abinay,
ref the blw detailed info reg cin..
If SAP is implemented for any company in INDIA and the company is in EXCISABLE range then
in SAP ,CIN is implemented ( Country India Version) then
you have to implement the SAP by either of the one type of CIN
    1. TAX INN - Condition based CIN implementation
2.TAX INJ -Formula Based CIN implementation
    1. If you are using TAXINN then system will pick rate from condition record maintained using tcode FV11.
    2. If you are using TAXINJ then rates are to be entered while creating tax code in FTXP & J1ID.

  • Diff Btn EDI and ALE

    Hi Experts,
What is the diff btn EDI and ALE.
    Straight answers will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    SAI

    Hi,
    In simple words ...
ALE is technology for SAP mainly use to transfer data between SAP systems.
EDI is the independent technology use to transfer data between two systems, they can be SAP systems or non SAP systems.
ALE = Application Link Enable: Initially developed for SAP as an abstract layer to extract master and transactional data to be sent ellectronically to other SAP systems. These days is also being used to send data no non-SAP systems. ALE is not a protocol or anything like that, it's just abstract layer composed by a set of applications which are capable of extracting aplication data on a 1-time basis or periodically, by selection criteria or incrementally by deltas.
In contrast, EDI = Electronic data interface, this is a comunication protocol not designed by SAP but it´s an industry standard. Of course most SAP software supports EDI, but EDI it's no software but the specification of the protocol in itself.

    Padmam.

  • Types of  DTP , Diff between Standard and Error DTP

    Hi experts,
What is DTP ,  are the Types of  DTP , Diff between Standard and Error DTP , how it works in BI 7.0.
I will assign points for your valuable answers.

    Hello ,
Data transfer process (DTP) to transfer data within BI from one persistent object to another object, in accordance with certain transformations and filters. In this respect, it replaces the data mart interface and the InfoPackage. As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0, the InfoPackage only loads data to the entry layer of BI (PSA).
The data transfer process makes the transfer processes in the data warehousing layer more transparent. Optimized parallel processing improves the performance of the transfer process (the data transfer process determines the processing mode). You can use the data transfer process to separate delta processes for different targets and you can use filter options between the persistent objects on various levels. For example, you can use filters between a DataStore object and an InfoCube.
Data transfer processes are used for standard data transfer, for real-time data acquisition, and for accessing data directly.
1.Benefit: Data ‘Distribution’within BI Capabilities (from PSA or InfoProviders to InfoProviders)
2.Improved transparency of staging processes across data warehouselayers (PSA, DWH layer, ODS layer, Architected Data Marts)
    3.Improved performance and high scalability
4.Separation of delta mechanism for different data targets: delta capability is controlledby the DTP
    5.Enhanced filtering in dataflow
6.Repair modus based on temporary buffers (buffers keep complete set of data)

  • Diff betwen Simple and Advanced function

    Hi,
What is the the diff betwen Simple and Advanced user defined function  in message mapping ?
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi,
Simple function : Simple functions without paramters work like constants and produce the target element exactly once for each context.
if I use simple Functions (Which should be called every time and context, the target field should be build - in a single context) and advanced function(which should identify, depending on the result of the actual simple function call values from queued source fields) in a single element
Advance function : Advanced functions with paramters seem to produce the target element for each context
If you use advanced Functions, its little more complicate, then you have allready to provide a queue, which tells the advanced function - how many times to run and how how many result entries to create, 'cause these must match with the number of occurency of your target element (in simple words: you control the number of runs, that your single field mapping is processed).

  • Diff. bet ABAP  and SAP Query

    HI
Anybody can explain in detail about ABAP  and SAP Query.....
And tell me what is the main diff. bet ABAP  and SAP Query...
    Regards
    S.Baskaran

    SAP Query
    Purpose
The SAP Query application is used to create lists not already contained in the SAP standard system. It has been designed for users with little or no knowledge of the SAP programming language ABAP. SAP Query offers users a broad range of ways to define reporting programs and create different types of reports such as basic lists, statistics, and ranked lists.
    Features
SAP Query's range of functions corresponds to the classical reporting functions available in the system. Requirements in this area such as list, statistic, or ranked list creation can be met using queries.
All the data required by users for their lists can be selected from any SAP table created by the customer.
To define a report, you first have to enter individual texts, such as titles, and select the fields and options which determine the report layout. Then you can edit list display in WYSIWYG mode whenever you want using drag and drop and the other toolbox functions available.
ABAP Query, as far as I Believe, is the use of select statements in the ABAP Programming. This needs a knowledge of Open SQL commands like Select,UPdtae, Modify etc. This has to be done only by someone who has a little bit of ABAP experience.
To sum up, SAP queries are readymade programs given by SAP, which the user can use making slight modification like the slection texts, the tables from which the data is to be retrieved and the format in which the data is to be displayed.ABAP queries become imperative when there is no such SAP query existing and also when there is a lot of customizing involved to use a SAP Query directly.

    Hi Narasimha,
If you ran the job in background, check SM37 for the log.
If spool lists created check transaction SP01 to view the details.
Whether run in background or online, you can check in KO8G under Goto -> Previous settlements.
There are other ways but it depends on what data you processing.

  • Whats the diff between express and pro??

Just wondering what the main diff between the two are. I've used pro at school, but cant afford to get it at home. Will i still be able to use the same audio instruments like the same synths and plug ins??? Also, would i be able to run the program on a mac mini (top of the line)?

Matt Mac 63, "Whats the diff between express and pro??" #5, 10:33pm Oct 18, 2005 CDT
All I was saying is that if a person can afford to get Pro, they definitely should. The difference in features adds up to at least the difference in price, if not very much more.
Having said that, Express is good value compared to most other DAW software at that pricepoint, but it is only intended as a 'Lite' version.
Some examples, off the top of my head, of differences not made really clear in the comparison list.
    Input Objects:
In Pro you can use Input Objects to monitor incoming signal without rec-enabling a track. That doesn't sound much, on the face of it, but what it means is you can use external FX units (hardware) as inserts in tracks (or busses) just like plugins, and bounce them with the mix. it also means you acn monitor what you are playing into Logic Pro with plugin FX applied, but record dry so you can hear your guitar with the reverb, or whatever, but still have the recorded dry signal so you can change the FX settings later.
Pro has some very handy environment objects. The main one being the Trabsformer object. But also another extremely useful object is TouchTracks.
If you've ever played with Ableton Live you would have noticed you can triger clips with the keyboard in all different ways (loop, gate loop, one shot etc.) Well TouchTracks does that with MIDI regions.(I have a feeling that feature in Live was modeled after Logic's TouchTracks' as it is incredibly similar.)
They are only a few examples of a whole range of differences. If all the differences were itemized in the 'comparison chart' it would be about 3 pages long.
All I am saying is, don't take the comparison chart as the definitive list of differences.
yes, Express is a good basic tool and you can do a lot with it, with some imagination.
    The SOS author's claim that:
you're paying less than a third of the price of Logic Pro and getting over 90 percent of the functionality."
    is not true in totality.
It may be true to someone who has never dabbled in audio software before, because it takes literally years to become fully conversant with every function in Logic Pro, and no-one uses absolutely everything.
But for serious users, who have big demands, in my opinion, Express is less than 30% of Pro's functionality.

  • Diff btw ITS and webdynpro

    Hi All
Can anybody throw a flavour on Diff between ITS and webdynpro
In SRM 5.0 they are using ITS But in SRM 6.0 they are using webdynpro technology
    regards
    dugyala

    Hello Sandeep,
I am not too technical but ITS & webdynpro technologies pertain to the web interfacing with the application servers i.e.when a user makes a transaction thro' web browser the ITS /Web dyn pro enables to reach the application server and gets back the result/retrieval of the required data in to user's presentation layer.
It is learnt that the Web dynpro technology is faster in retrieval of the data compared to the ITS.
