Diff. objects receivers in multiple valuations in settl-mnt rule of int.ord

Dear All,
Could we define different objects receivers in settlement rule of internal orders in multiple valuations?
For example, in legal valuations it should be account of Sales costs and for Group and Profit center valuations it should be price differences account.
Is it possible?
Best regards,
Kamila.

It is not Possible .

  • Reposting in multiple valuations/transfer prices

    Dear All,
    We have activated multiple valuations/transfer prices.
    We do have some costs different in different valuations. But sometimes occurs problems with posting object. Suppose posting was performed first to cost center 1. But we need repost this costs to cost center 2.
    We've tried to use kb11n. But we've got a message we can't use this transaction code. And we should use tc. kb61.
    But this t.c. performs only reposting in the same amount in all valuations.
    Which standard transaction code can we use for reposting in multiple valuations/transfer prices?
    Best regards,
    Kamila.

    Hi,
    T. code kb61 works fo reposting.
    But in case with depreciation cost it is not useful. Because it is relevant only for one Fi document.

  • GL account error Valuation Clearing Account for multiple valuations

    Hi
    I am trying to configure multiple valuations. There is one path:
    IMG --> Controlling --> General Controlling --> Multiple Valuation Approaches/Transfer Prices --> Level of Detail --> Define Valuation Clearing Account
    I created in chart of account 1000 (assigned to company code 1000) GL account 490000 with PL account tick in FS00 and i created cost element as 01. Further i entered trading partner 100001 which is assigned to company code as a 'company' and in the GL account in trading partner. Now when i entered the GL account in above path, it gave following error:
    Account 490000 is not a profit/loss account
    Message no. KM125
    Please let me know why its giving the error.

  • Does moving average price work with multiple valuations?

    Dear All,
    I have activated multiple valuations: Legal, group and profit center.
    I have activated ML/Actual costing for this multiple valuations too.
    Now I have 3 price fields in material master.
    Could I use moving average price for some materials types in multiple valuations?
    Thank you,
    With best regards,
    Kamila.

    Hi Kamila,
    yes, ML is always activated for all materials in a plant. To use MAP you have to set the price determination of a material to '2':
    This is the F1 help of the field price determination:
    Material Price Determination: Control
    Specifies how the material price determination should procede.
    You have the following options:
    With price control V in activity-based material price determination (indicator2 in the material master), the moving average price is calculated. With price control S, the material is valuated with the standard price and the moving average price is calculated for information purposes.
    In single-/multi-level material price determination(indicator 3 in the material master), the valuation price (standard price) remains unchanged and a periodic unit price is calculated for the closed period.
    This option is only for materials with price control indicator S,and is only recommended if in addition to multiple currencies and/or valuations, you use single-/multi-level material price determination.
    In single-/multi-level material price determination, a periodic unit price is updated for information, but it can only be used for material valuation in the closed period.
    Dependencies
    The indicator is only of use if the material ledger is active.
    Upon activating a valuation area for the Material Ledger in Customizing, you can enter what type of material price determination will be proposed when creating a material in that valuation area. This proposal will be ignored at production startup: the system automatically sets the indicator to 2 in the material master for all materials present.
    If you want to change the indicator for a particular material later, choose Accounting -> Controlling -> Actual Costing/Material Ledger -> Environment -> Change Material Price Determination.
    best regards,

  • Maintenance of multiple Valuation Categories for a Material

    Hi All,
    Presently we are using split Valuation Category H(Origin) & Valuation Types Domestic & Imported.We need to keep track of materials that are serviced externally with status for material(Refurbished & Repairable) for same material so that we can maintan no of times a material has been repaired.Also material should not be valuated when it is to be received after repair. Please suggest the solution

    You can't use multiple valuation category for one material..
    You can use multiple valuation type under one valuation category.
    Suppose you have two valuation category Origin and Status.
    Origin has two valuation types 1. Domestic and 2. Imported
    And your Status has two valuation types 1. Refurbished and 2. Repairable.
    Then you can create a new valuation category as Z and create 4 valuation type under this valuation category
    1. Domestic-Refurbished
    2. Imported-Refurbished
    3. Domestic-Repairable
    4. Imported-Repairable.
    Then you can use valuation type as per your requirement. Also you can create more valuation type as per your requirement.

  • Multiple row update; CEV business rule parameters are not refreshed

    During a multiple row update, a business rule is fired for each row.
    This change event business rule must update the value of another column in the same table (and same row).
    Unfortunately, the parameters of the BR are keeping the values of the first row that has been checked. Since my parameter p_id always keeps the same value, I always update the same row.
    Does somebody have a hint on how to solve this problem ?
    I'm using Headstart R6i and Forms6i with Oracle9i DB.
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Denis.

    I think that's how it works. I tried that with a variable where type is Members.
    It is not showing me a prompt when i select multiple rows. However works only for first row. (even if the menu is initiated from second row).
    Multiple rows selected, variable type is members. works only for first row in selection. (in 11.1.2.2) You can try log an SR and see what Oracle has to say.

  • Cost Object in FI document with WBS Settlement

    Hi,
    I'm testing WBS settlement to G/L account which is cost element. I made some substitution rules because I met an error message saying that "Cost Object is needed"
    As a result I can settle WBS to cost elements such as COGS etc. I got a FI document, CO document and PCA document. Everything looked so nice.
    Suddenly I noticed, however, that there is no such a thing like cost object on FI document. When I look up the FI document using FB03, I found that the PS-POSID was empty. Of course, CO documents have Cost Object.
    What I wonder is as follows
    1. Is this standard? Is it natural that FI document with CO doc has no cost object on it?
    2. If I need to use FI document to determine WBS element, what is the best to way? Is it possible to enter Cost Object such as wbs element in FI document during settlement?
    Thank you for your kind advice in advance.

    Kang,
    In the message which you got, the word 'Cost Object' refered to a cost center, or order, or any other cost object.
    However, there is another account assignment object with the name 'Cost Object', which was not filled in the FI document. That is normal.
    Right now I don't have much information in the a/c assignment object 'Cost Object'.

  • Design Question: Creating One Object Type From Multiple Inputs

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to expand my brain a bit and come up with a more elegant solution to a design I created a few years ago. In simple terms, I have a data object (Request) which can be created based on data in a text file or from data previously persisted in a database record using the Request object and associated DAO. Typically, the text file is initiating a "new" Request object to be persisted, and reading from the database is done to update or view previously submitted Request objects. Note that I have no ability to change the original input method of the text file.
    In my original design I basically lumped everything into the Request class using multiple constructors which made for a messy jumble and a very long class. Different parsing routines were needed when data was read from the file vs. reading it from the database. I was considering refactoring the code to use a factory class but this doesn't seem to follow the typical Abstract Factory or Factory Method design patterns. In my design I keep ending up with something like:
    public class RequestFactory {
        public Request createRequestFromFile(File file) {...build up the request object...}
        public Request createRequestFromDbRecord(int recordId) {...build up the request object...}
    }And I would change the constructor in my Request class to private and remove all of the parsing and construction methods.
    Now, I can definitely make this work but I'm not sure I'm really doing much except taking the creation garbage (there's a lot of parsing of multiple-value fields that needs to be done) out of the actual Request class. So my question is basically, do I have a better approach I'm not seeing or is this type of factory "appropriate"? I mean, would someone come along later and look at my code and think I was crazy? I'm still trying to wrap my head around some ways to use factories in my own projects so I'm probably not thinking clearly.
    Thanks!
    Pablo

    Thanks for the feedback. About your suggestions on dealing with the different loading methods, I think that's where I keep getting disconnected, at least as far as using an abstract factory is concerned.
    Extending your example code a bit using option one, I would guess I end up with something like this:
    public interface RequestFactory {
      Request createRequest(RequestSource source) throws RequestCreationException;
    public class DatabaseRequestFactory implements RequestFactory {
      public Request createRequest(RequestSource source) throws RequestCreationException {
        // do some stuff
    }The part I can't figure out is how to define the RequestSource (or RequestId in your example). It would seem that if I'm going to define member variables in RequestSource like SourceFile or RecordId it would be just as correct to skip the interface and just use two concrete classes like this:
    public class FileRequestFactory {
      Request createRequest(File file) throws RequestCreationException {
        // process file and create request
    public class DatabaseRequestFactory {
      public Request createRequest(int recordId) throws RequestCreationException {
        // load record and create request
    }I guess where I keep stumbling is a) the value of the interface and b) if I do use an interface, how to have a generic object passed to createRequest() that can refer to either a file location or a record ID. This concept is pretty clear when the creation requirements for each concrete factory are the same, but when the construction uses such disparate data sources for creation I can't seem to wrap my head around the differences.
    Your third suggestion is probably the easiest for me to understand but it seems like it would be a bit contrived. In the end it may make the most sense if I am going to go with that type of approach since I still don't really understand how to implement the first two options.
    Thanks again for your input.

    Reason to do this as these fields are required to be grouped together as they are created in different tables. They are treated as 'attribute' (consists of many columns) of the part number. So, the PL/SQL is requested to design in a way able for user to pass in the column name and column value or part number, then the select statement should be able to query for the records. Another reason is a new column can be added easily without keep modifying those effected programs. Reuseable too.This basically equates to ... hard to code, hard to maintain, and poor performance.
    Are you really sure you want to do this? This isn't going to be easy-street as you seem to think it is, but it's a one way street to a poorly performing system with security vulnerabilities (google SQL Injection).
    I would highly recommend you reconsider your design decision here.

  • How to make an object distributed across multiple jres?

    Hi,
    We used cache data mechanism for performance tuning. It will store data in static variable (Hashtable) and get initialized when app starts . We are using IPlanet Application Server and

    We avoid sharing data in session and request, as data is huge.

    I'd suggest that a better approach is to implement this as an Entity Bean and accessed from Session bean and using Value Objects to return the data subsets.

  • What r the diff objects in middleware

    Hi SAP GURUS,
    Can anybody tel me the object types in middleware.
    Thanx
    Chinmaya

    Hi Chinmaya
    In Middleware you have Adapter Objects
    There are three basic types of adapter exchange objects:
    <b>Business objects</b> are master data and transaction data that is usually predefined by SAP and changed only minimally by customers. Used to download the Masters like Products. You can determine which business objects are transferred to the CRM Server. Dependent objects can be included only if the independent objects to which they are assigned are also included.
    <b>Customizing objects</b> are Customizing tables (T*-tables, for example, T100) .Used to download the Customizations like Product Hierarchy. You can define new objects and specify the parent objects and tables.
    <b>Condition objects</b> are condition tables for price evaluation.Used to download the Pricing conditions.You can create new objects to download your own pricing conditons.
    Path to see the same in System is Middleware > Data Exchange> Object Management
