Diff Ways to Create OLAP Universe using BI/BW DataSource?

Hi Experts,
I konw there are two diff ways to create olap universe using BI/BW datasource.
1. Uisng InfoCube
2. Using BEx Query..
so.. I need you help to know when we use InfoCube and When We use BEx Query.
Can you please explain me in details and give me some pros and cons using each connection ..if there is any documentations please provide me ...

The characteristic InfoProvider (0TCTIFPROV) refers to the technical name
of an InfoProvider. In BI, queries can be created on an InfoProvider or an
InfoProvider can be used for reporting.
An InfoProvider is generic term for all the DataTargets and Virtual Providers
(VirtualProvider or MultiProvider). An InfoProvider may or may not contain data.
Infocube is type of an infoprovider
An InfoCube describes (from an analysis point of view) a self-contained dataset,
for example, for a business-orientated area. You analyze this dataset in a BEx query.
An InfoCube is a set of relational tables arranged according to the star schema:
A large fact table in the middle surrounded by several dimension tables.
InfoCubes are filled with data from one or more InfoSources or other InfoProviders.
They are available as InfoProviders for analysis and reporting purposes.
The data is stored physically in an InfoCube

When Creating a universe using excel, universe is blank.

I want to create a universe using excel sheet, my server is 64bit windows, and business objects is 3.1 SP 3 FP 2.6,
I created an ODBC connection; these are the steps I followed
1) I Navigated to C:, windows, syswow64 and ran the application odbcad32
(Windows server 2008 64 bit) and created a ODBC connection using a Excel sheet 2003.
2) Then i did the following change
<Parameter Name="Transactional Available">No</Parameter> is set to Yes under the Generic ODBC Data Source in below location
...\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\odbc\odbc.sbo
3) Then went to universe created connection using under database middle ware as microsoft -MS Excel 2003 - Odbc drivers- and selected the data source connection, test the connection server is working fine.
4) i created a universe using the connection.
But the problem is i canu2019t see the values, dimensions and measures in my universe it blank.
Please help me to overcome the issue.

i went to table browser and created the universe, and exported it to the BO server, when i run the report in webi i am getting the following error.
"Microsoft Odbc driver manager data source not found and no default driver specified"

Is there a way to create a script to execute tmconfig and change CLOPTS parameters
for a particular server?
Here is what I would like to accomplish. Want to set "-r" option to a limited
number of servers, on an as needed basis. I do not want to bring down the environment
and update the ubbconfig file. The support people are not familiar with tmconfig.
So, I would like to create a script to turn the "-r" option on when needed and
restart only those servers and then turn it off once the debufgging is done.
Is there any command other than tmconfig, which I could use to accomplish this?

If you've got perl on your machine, you can download the tuxedo perl module and
write perl scripts to call tuxedo services. There's also a tuxedo::admin module
at cpan now.

What do you mean "It Not Working"？ As Kamath said, please post the detail error message, so that we can make further analysis.
In the Data Source View of a CUBE, we can define a named query. In a named query, you can specify an SQL expression to select rows and columns returned from one or more tables in one or more data sources. A named query is like any other table in a data source
view (DSV) with rows and relationships, except that the named query is based on an expression.

Is there a way to create an object using Trapcode Form and then use that object as a particle in Trapcode Particular?

I made some objects in Cinema 4D and I tried to import them into After Effects CC 2014. I get an error saying 'Cannot find Adobe Premiere Pro Dynamic Link'. So I tried it in AE CC and that worked. However, I want to create a form object and then use that as a particle for Trapcode Particular. Is this even possible?

There are also size limitations or rather suggestions for particle size. If I were creating an animated 3D shape using Form or C4D and wanted to use it as a particle I would keep the size of the particle about 1/6 to 1/8 of the comp size. You would create a new comp for your particle, animate it, then nest the particle comp in your main comp, turn off visibility, and then use it as a particle in Particular.

Is there a way to create address labels using data from a Numbers document?

I'd like to print mailing labels for holiday cards and my wife created the list in a Numbers spreadsheet.
Is there any way to export to Pages or some other label printing application?

Righty-ho. This is based on a spreadsheet like this with named columns in Numbers 3.5. (The rows must be consecutive - the script moves on as soon as it sees an empty row):

This can also be done in Numbers 09, but the script would have to be modified slightly.

Quickest & Easiest Way To Create & Publish website using Illustrator Designs?

I am a newbie & more conversant in premier pro than webiste development, however I though I would give it a go. I have watched that many Lynda.com video's I think I have confused myself!
I have created all of the pages I need for my website in Adobe Illustrator & saved them as illustrator documents & HTML also.
I have tried just using a blank page HTML with no columns & liquid centre, however whenever I look at the view my design is only showing up to the left hand side of the screen, not centred at all. Am I meant to put it into a container, or a box around it so it will expand with different browser sizes
I am concerned that perhaps the design itself is too fixed, ie 856 x 554 & that is the problem?
I, ridiculously, have a friday deadline with this & I am feeling fairly pathetic given I am stuck on the 1st step!(Wel not quite, I managed the design & vid editing!)

Is there a way to create ADF Table using a bean

I am using JDev 11g 11.1.1.2.0.
I am reading an excel sheet and want to generate an ADF table using the same. I already have hold on excel data.
But when I go through the RichTable API, I find that there is no method to add Columns and Rows. Most or all the methods work on the table UI Looks attribute.
Any suggestion? Am I missing a method OR 2 here?
Pls note: The excel (CSV file) using which I am populating my table, will vary for different user. i.e.
say user 1 will upload a CSV file with 7cols and 100 rows while
user 2 will upload the CSV file that has 2 cols and 100 rows.
Hope this makes it clear of my requirements and why I want to populate the table from a bean.

IIF not accepting Dimensions in a OLAP Universe using Bex Query

We have an issue with Prompted object , u2018IIFu2019 expression is not taking dimension object in u2018Thenu2019 clause, it takes only the measure object.
Below are the two expressions one with measure and other with dimension, object with measure works fine and dimension doesnu2019t.
