Difference bet ween Fleet Object and Production Resource Tools

Hi all,
Please give me the difference between Fleet Object and Production Resource Tools in Plant Maintenance
Thanks in Advance
Thanks,
shriraam

Dear,
Production Resources/Tools (PRT)
Unlike machines and fixed assets, production resources and tools (PRTs) are movable (not stationary) operating resources that are required to perform an activity and can be used repeatedly. For example, PRTs include documents, engineering drawings, jigs and fixtures, and measurement instruments.
Fleet Management
Here can map the vehicles as equipment master records and enter vehicle-specific additional data, which is displayed in the system on two additional tab pages. This means that you can now specify important fleet data such as the license plate number, load volume, consumption data, fuel card number, engine data, or fuel type and so on directly in the equipment master record.
You can also perform maintenance planning for a fleet object. You can make the date of the next scheduled service dependent on the distance

What is the difference between data base objects and runtime objects

    Hi raja,
data base objects means u can have the presence of these objects in the database. So the tables, searchhelps, structures, lockobjects comes under these ones.
Runtime objects are created and destroyed after the program ends, any changes we make to them are temporary only.

  • Production resources/tools

    Dear gurus,
Could you please help me with the following issue.
There is a neccessity to use production resources/tools, because we have materials, that
    Firstly, are produced,
Secondly, are used in production, but should not add value to it,
Thirdly, have some durability, which is diminished during the usage of PRT,
Forthly, are being repaired, and the durability is being restored.
    Plant maintenance is not implemented.
I know from help, that it is possible to create PRT as a material, machine or a document and maintain in the rooting.
Tell please, is it possible to create a material type FHMI (PRT) in order to:
    1. Produce it (not procure).
    2. Maintain "ST" a basic UoM for it, but also to maintain some durability for it somewhere.
    3. Maintain it in the rooting.
    4. During the production order confirmation, diminish the durability without diminishing the quantity.
    5. To issue this material to CO-order for repairs (without plant maintenance), when the durability reaches 0, and somehow to restore the durability for it.

    Hi Nikolaj,
It's very common requirement in many implimentations. But unfortunatley SAP does't support that process in PP module. Only from PM module we can support that process.
But there are many ways to map process by using small development.
Eg.1 Delcared PRT as material master and assign it in BOM. And update a Z field in BOM depending on the number of production order qty. when it reaches zero we can trigger message!!.
Any way you need CO order only for settlement. So you can always book cost for restoring the PRT to relevant cost object.
    Eg.2.
Create other or doc PRT and assign it to a routing for a specific operation. And then trace that operation in the production order by a development and manage the life of PRT.

  • PM: Print / View Production Resource Tools - documents from Iw32

    Hi SAP Gurus,

    Hi,
I know this post is old, but to answer the question:
Yes, you can link, using Object Linking functionality in DMS, to a PRT.
The object is a bit obscure in the object list, but, when selecting a object in the DMS Config>Define Document Type>Define Object Link, look for the object called CRVS_B.
This is the PRT Object Link's definition, which will then allow Object Linking functionality as required.
The other way, as mentioned earlier, is to simply use the PRT functionality from your transaction, i.e. IA06 to link to a DIR. This has the downside though that the bi-directional navigation from DMS<>PM for example will not exist.

  • Status: Production resource/ tool

    Hi,
I don't understand the function status for production resource/ tool.
    1. MM01. in the view Production resource/ tool and in the field Plant-Specific Material Status there are 2 choices. 01 blocked for procment/whse and 02 blocked for task list/ BOM.
I would like to blocked the material for the routing. when I choice 02 It isn't been blocked for the routing. when I choice 01 It is blocked. I don't understand it because it is the opposite.
2.The same in the PRT Master there are 3 status 01created on  02 release for PRT usage planning, 03 release for production. When I choice 02 I It is blocked for the Routing although 02 has to be release for the routing. with 03 function correctly
Can you explain me how the status function in the 2 cases. Do I do it wrong?

    hi
May be it has been customized in different way .kindly check in OMS4

  • PRT Production Resource Tools Counter

    Hi,
I am trying to setup a production resource tool which is counted at time of production.
I have setup the Material, Equipment, BOM, Counter, Routing.
When executing a production order the Counter is not updated with the ammount produced.
Does anyone have a manual on how to setup PRT Counters. I have looked on the SAP Library but this is not sufficient to solve the problem.
    Regards
    GIlbert

    Dear Gilbert
You have to create the equipment as PRT Equipment category. In PRT data you have to assign the (counter) measuring point and maintain the usage formula. Assign the Equipment PRT in the production orders and Enter the usage value and UOM. Ensure the UOM of the usage value and the UOM of the characterestic value you have assigned in the measuring point are same.
Now the confirmation will update the measuring point by creating a measuring document for the measuring poit to the count of the confirmation you are entering.

  • From Which table Production resource/tool number can be retried

    Hi Friends,
In SAP Query I am Using MAPL,PLAS, PLPO, PLKO, I want to retrieve Production resource/tool number PLFHD-FHMNR, can any one tell in which table it is storing the value.. & what link condition I need to use to retrieve thisfield.. Transaction CA03.
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

FHMNR is stored in table ADFSH_PRTHEAD. You may need to pass ORGEH - Org. Unit to get the Production resource/tool number.
    This may help you.

    Karthik D
P.S. May i know why you have mentioned FHMNR in all your answered questions today?

    Logistics - Production Process - Master Data - Production Resources/Tools - Production Resources/Tools - Equipment - Create.
    spro->production planning for process industries->master data->production resources/tools (PRT)
you will see 5 transactions to configure your settings:

    -define PRT status
    -define Task List Usages
    -define PRT Group Keys

  • Datasource for capture of PRT (production resource tool) details in PM

    Hi,
I searched for a datasource which gives the production resource tools (PRT's) assigned to an activity in a maintainance order (Plant maintainance). I was not able to find any!. Should we go for a generic extracor to have the PRT details in a maintainance order?
If yes what are the tables that we can get this details.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Whats the difference bet the 4 gig and 8 gig iphone

Hi guys I plan to buy an iphone this Monday. Is there big difference bet the 4 gig iphone and 8 gig iphone. Someone told me that the 8 gig iphone offers more memory than the 4 gig. In my own understanding the only advantage of the 8 gig iphone is its hard disk space. Well I want to hear your opinions on this one before I buy this phone thanks.

I agree that the 8GB is worth the extra $100, but I wouldn't calculate the costs this way. Your money is paying for the overall iPhone platform, including the flash storage. Trying to figure out how much you're paying per GB would need to involve breaking out the components and figuring out the percentage costs for each. What is certain is that you are paying $100 for an additional 4GB. I think that is worth the money, especially if you want to use the phone as an iPod, but that's a subjective decision.
