    What is the difference between httpd.pid and httpd.lock files?

    Hi;
    Apache httpd saves the process id of the parent httpd process to the file logs/httpd.pid .
    LockFile
    Sets the path to the lockfile used when Oracle HTTP Server is compiled with either USE_FCNTL_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT or USE_FLOCK_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT. It is recommended that default value be used. The main reason for changing it is if the logs directory is NFS mounted, since the lockfile must be stored on a local disk.
    For example: LockFile /oracle/Apache/Apache/logs/httpd.lock"

  • AppID during application update and Difference between app id and product id

    Hi
    I understand once a app is in store it has a associated Appid. How does this differs from the product id?
    During each app update does the product id's should be same?
    or during the store certification process will the appid and the product ids be mapped?
    How does the product id and App id differ if this is not the case?
    Can you provide some article which actually explains what is the difference between XAP uploaded and xap after certification?

    Hi
    In that case the dev account from which the update is done will have the unique id or  appid  and the appid or the product id mapping will be always done by the store certification process.
    I'm not clear on this part whether the developer who does the update of the app should update the id or the process which does the certification of the app as an update will update automatically do it?.

  • Differences Between SAP PDF and Normal PDF Files ???

    Hi,
    In SAP, we are converting Delivery Outputs to PDF and getting with another win32 application using RFC.
    However, PDF's taken from SAP don't work like other PDF's which Created with Adobe PDF Creator.
    For Example,
    I have a delphi application which converts PDF files to image files (JPEG,TIF). Normal PDF files converting normally but SAP PDF Files can't convert.
    What's the differences between "SAP" PDF Files and "Adobe PDF Creator" PDF Files.
    thanks
    ibrahim

    I believe that the converter internal to the system is based on a specific release of the adobe software, whatever was current at the time of release.  In newer releases, the converter is probably upgraded to the newest release of adobe.

  • Difference between app card and itunes card

    Hello
    I've looked at Apple Support but can't find an answer. If it matters, I'm in Canada.
    What is the difference between an iTunes Gift Card and an App Store Gift Card?
    Thanks for the help

    As far as I've ever seen, the only difference is the picture and printing on the card itself.  ITunes, App, or iBooks cards all work in any of the stores.

    Can it be that you are a little bit arrogant ?
    Why you don't simply use that little text field on the left side of this page or use a search engine ?
    One example:

  • Is there quality difference between iMovie project and QT shared file?

    I have several scenes that I want to piece together. Each scene was edited and saved as a separate iMovie project. I also "shared" each of the edited scenes to create full quality QuickTime files. I now want to compile the scenes to create a short film (actually an actor's demo reel). My reason for importing the QT files would be to have simpler uncut scenes as opposed to importing each of the iMovie projects, which would result in hundreds of tiny clips. It just seems like the fewer scenes/clips the easier it will be to make transitions, etc. But, will I lose quality (video or audio) by using the QuickTime files instead of the iMovie projects? Thanks.

    it just looked lower quality in the QuickTime Player.
    probably just my mind. thanks for the assurance.
    Don't worry; your mind (and your eyes) are okay. What you see is normal.
    By default, a Full Quality movie does not look beautiful. Playback quality is reduced, making it easier for your Mac to play the movie. But if you have QuickTime Pro you can adjust the movie's playback settings to see all the quality that's there. Even then it will appear to be "stretched". That's normal too.
    Full Quality means it contains all the data of the source material with no loss of quality, not that it delivers great playback quality. A Full Quality movie is not intended for playing movies, and it's too large to share. Its sole purpose is to preserve the quality of the video/audio, letting you copy it from place to place with no loss of quality.
    Actually, when you use QT Pro to adjust the playback settings of a Full Quality movie, it actually looks BETTER than iMovie's own display. iMovie never shows you all the quality that's there. (One of the benefits of having QuickTime Pro.)

  • Difference between R/3 and CRM systems

    Hi,
    I want to know difference between R/3 and other systems like CRM, SCM. Shall we need XI to integrate them..
    I think that CRM,SCM are the modules of R/3 is correct..
    What kind of applications they are...
    Thanks,
    RamuV

    Hi Ramu,
    As you said they are R3 Applications only.
    can be connected with the help of XI.
    CRM uses BDOCs but XI can only deal with IDOCs. So when you will be working with BDOCs of CRM, then in CRM you will have to create custom IDOCs for the corresponding BDOCs and then you can have File-IDOC and IDOC-file scenarios working via XI to communicate between your CRM server.

  • What's the difference between old SAP appraisal system and the new SAP appraisal system?

    Hi Experts,
    What's the difference between old SAP appraisal system and the new SAP appraisal system?
    Can anyone shed some light please.
    Thanks.

    emgr_update no longer sets or gets the thesaurus from workbench. In 11 all workbench configurations are saved in IFCR configuration directly.
    Hence the thesaurus entry should be added directly in version 11 Workbench as opposed to xml file in older versions.
    And if you want to migrate the changes across environments then import_site script in control directory can be used.

  • Differences between .profile,oraenv and dbhome files

    can anyone tell me the differences between .profile,oraenv and dbhome.
    database version is 10.2.0 and OS is solaris 10.
    I have set up the environment variables using .profile
    is the functionality of oraenva and dbhome same like .profile?

    Hello,
    oraenv and oracle home_
    The oraenv and coraenv utilities both aid in setting the Oracle environment on UNIX systems (other utilities exist on Windows platform that enable the Oracle Home to be set.) The coraenv utility is appropriate for the UNIX C Shell; oraenv should be used with either the Bourne or Korn shells.
    Database operations require the ORACLE_HOME to be set before the user may access the database. If ORACLE_HOME is not set, commands such as sqlplus, exp, or any other utility for that matter, will not be found.
    Both utilities are shell scripts that do the same thing in the different UNIX shells. They will prompt for a SID of the database unless ORAENV_ASK is set to N. The utility will also append the ORACLE_HOME value to the path, marking the location of the utility.
    The oraenv command will prompt for the SID of the database that you wish $ORACLE_HOME to access.
    $ . oraenv
    ORACLE_SID = [] ? ASG920
    The dbhome utility can now be used to verify that $ORACLE_HOME is correct.
    $ dbhome
    /usr/oracle/9.2.0
    The “dot space” part of the command is required to make the environment change with the parent shell, as opposed to entering a command without it which would only affect the subshell running that process.
    These commands can be used to avoid specifying the network service name when issuing commands. For instance, without using oraenv, a sqlplus command would look like:
    $ sqlplus system/manager@nameofservice as sysdba
    whereas after oraenv has been executed, the following command would work:
    $ sqlplus system/manager as sysdb
    The profile:_*
    The Profile file in your home directory is a collection of Korn shell commands that are executed whenever you login. Commonly, the Profile file is used to set environment variables and shell options. You can also put command aliases in your Profile file, but it's better to put them in a separate file -- commonly called .env (which is pronounced: dot-e-n-v)-- that you define and execute in your Profile (which is pronounced: dot-profile).
    This document briefly introduces environment variables, shell options, and aliases, and gives sample Profile and .env files.
    The commands in this document assume that you're using Korn shell, which is the default login shell on all the ACCC UNIX machines. Shell variables (like $PRINTER and $ENV, which are introduced below) are defined slightly differently in C shell. For example, to select the U-Print system as your default printer in csh you'd use the printer named uprint:
    PRINTER uprint
    setenv PRINTER

  • What is the difference between Topic Keywords and Index File Keywords?

    What is the difference between Topic Keywords and Index File Keywords? Any advantages to using one over the other? Do they appear differently in the generated index?
    RH9.0.2.271
    I'm using Webhelp

    Hi there
    When you create a RoboHelp project you end up with many different ancillary files that are used to store different bits of information. Many of these files bear the name you assigned to the project at the time you created it. The index file has the project name and it ends with a .HHK file extension. (HHK meaning HTML Help Keywords)
    Generally, unless you change RoboHelp's settings, you add keywords to this file and associate topics to the keywords via the Index pod. At the time you compile a CHM or generate other types of output, the file is consulted and the index is built.
    As I said earlier, the default is to add keywords to the Index file until you configure RoboHelp to add the keywords to the topics themselves. Once you change this, any keyword added will become a META tag in the topic code. If your keyword is BOFFO, the META tag would look like this:
    <meta name="MS-HKWD" content="BOFFO" />
    When the help is compiled or generated, the Index (.HHK) file is consulted as normal, but any topics containing keywords added in this manner are also added to the Index you end up with. From the appearance perspective, the end user woudn't know the difference or be able to tell. Heck, if all you ever did was interact with the Index pod, you, as an author wouldn't know either. Well, other than the fact that the icons appear differently.
    Operationally, keywords added to the topics themselves may hold an advantage in that if you were to import these topics into other projects, the Index keywords would already be present.
    Hopefully this helps... Rick

  • What is the difference between apps and applications?

    I have an application that I've been running on my older Mac. Now that I have a new MacBook Pro, I have to reinstall new software that is compatible. When I go to the vendor website I see an application I can download or a link to the Mac App Store. Is an application different than an app? When should you download them from a vendor website and when should you go to the app store? Do apps end up in the Launchpad and an application in your Applications folder? I can't seem to find information on what is the distinction. Are they actually two different things? Any help would be appreciated.

    No difference between apps and applications. If you download the app from the Apple AppsStore you have better security and a conveninet place to have all your downloads. Nothing wrong with downloading from a trusted developer though.
    EDIT: Yes they will either wind up in your Download folder as  a .dmg you will have to double-click on to install, or most app store apps will install to your Applications folder.

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me the difference between Business service, Business system and Business process?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    <b>Business system</b>
    It is a logical system from a business point of view.
    One or more logical systems that belong together from a business point of view is called a group of Business system group. A business system group represents a unit within a company or organization that can be defined according to legal, economic, administrative or geographic factors.
    The objects in a business system group are uniquely identified by a uniform numbering system.

All processes required to completely process the task are listed in chronological order in the scenario. Business scenarios can be described graphically, in either aggregated or detailed form (EPC).
