Difference between BOXI 3.0 and 3.1 ?

Hi Friends,
We are in the process of upgrading BOXIR2 to BOXI3.0. We had already dowloaded the software, but I recently found that there is another updated version BOXI3.1.
Can anybody explain what is the difference between BOXI 3.0&3.1, and we need the version which supports both Java and .NET.
And one more question, does BO support Virtual Machine Installation?
Thanks
Bob.

The newer version has .net infoview(3.1) Provided you do a fresh installation of 3.1.
If you upgrade the old 3.0 version throgh the service pack then .net infoview will not be available.
I am not sure about support for virtual machines.

  • What's the difference between boxing and unboxing?

What's the difference between boxing and unboxing, I'm a bit confused?
Is autoboxing the same as boxing?
This is what I know so far:
    -This is boxing, i think:
int  []arrayset = {1,2,3};but I don't understand what unboxing is, can someone explain it to me.

I did little research, but please correct me ifI'm
    wrong:
    Is this similiar to unboxing:
    System.out.println(intArray[0] + intArray[1] +
    intArray[2]);
Only if intArray is declared asInteger[]
intArray ...Then the Integers at intArray[0] etc are unboxedinto
int primitives before adding.Did you try that before you posted it? Autoboxing is
applied only to an individual primitive/wrapper.
Arrays and collections aren't subject to
    autoboxing/unboxing. Basically, the compiler will
fill in constructs such as Integer.valueOf() for you,
it doesn't go as far as generating loops and new
    arrays for you
OP, as Peter said, the difference between boxing and
unboxing is merely one of direction. Autoboxing wraps
a primitive up for you, auto-unboxing extracts the
primitive from a wrapperAm fully aware of that, the OP's example contained references to array elements but it was not clear whether that array was declared as Integer[] or int[], hence my answer.
And just for the recordInteger[] intArray = new Integer[] {1, 2, 3}; // autoboxing
    System.out.println(intArray[1] + intArray[2]); // autounboxing
    // while ...
    int[] intArray = new int[] {1, 2, 3}; // no boxing
    System.out.println(intArray[1] + intArray[2]); // no unboxingis what i meant.

I downloaded Mavericks and it won't install. I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for? I never had an administrator password-- I just hit enter and have never had a problem before with previous installations. I'm on an iMac, from 2007, running Mt. Lion (version 10.8.5). I've been looking for other's posts who may be having the same problem, but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
    Good luck!

  • In ical, how can you tell the difference between a meeting invite and email?

When you send a meeting invite in ical, does the recipient receive a different icon in their inbox to differentiate from an email?

For service stock you can't tell the difference between a new iPad and a refurbished one. Both will come in a plain brown box with the same pattern in model numbers. If you mean between a refurbished one and one new at retail, then other than the obvious difference in packaging, I've read that the model number on refurbished units starts with the letter "F", though I've not confirmed that.

  • Difference between work bench request and customizing request

in abap point of view please give me the difference between work bench request and customizing request

    In simple terms -
Work bench Request is used by ABAPer.(Creatation of Programs, TCodes or ABAP Dictionary Objects)
Customizing Request is used by Functional Consultants. (Used to configure the system as per clients Business requirements).
The Change Request is that request when you do some thing new in customizing or configuration in the system. The system will automatically pop with the change request pop box , when you can give request name as defined by the system or can give your own request name with heading of what changes you have made while customization. The system will generate a request number and you save it. (e.g.:- VEDK-2785467) VEDK- means the Clients System name then followed by the system generated request number.
Now when you want to release the request you have to use the T-code SE10 where you can see the requests under the heading modifiable or released. Go to the modifiable option. Each request will have again an internal request number. First you have to release the internal request and then release the external request number. This will in turn released by the basis guys thru the T-code SM64 in a group when all the requests are pooled from different users.
The task which you have mentioned in your question is nothing but the what task you have performed while customizing the client system and the heading name which have given it for that task and generated a request for that task.

Customizing Request:- which will be used when any customization changes are doing.
Example:- In your standard Tcode always you cannot find all the fields or options, if you want to enable/disable some fields, in this case it will be treated as Customizing request, any customization will comes under this.
Work Bench Request:- for new developments like new reports, BDC....etc, then Work Bench Request will be used.

  • What's the difference between the triangle icon and the square icon on the

What's the difference between the triangle icon and the square icon on the Bookmarks Bar, and how do you make the square thing happen?

Both mean that the bookmark is a group or folder of multiple addresses.
The triangle is the default setting, meaning that usually you click and choose a single address to open in the group. You can also right-click on the group name to select "Open in Tabs" to see ALL the addresses open in individual tabs.
The square is this behaviour (open all addresses in tabs) fixed, so that it ALWAYS opens that way, even with a left click. If you want to access an individual address now, you have to use option-click.
To switch between triangle and square, open your bookmarks screen (the book icon on the far left of the bookmarks bar, or Bookmarks menu - Show all Bookmarks, select the group you want to change, and tick the box marked "Auto-Click". You can of course switch back to triangle (default) behaviour in the same way.

  • What is difference between Audigy 2 LS and Audigy 2

As topic say what is difference between Audigy 2 LS and Audigy 2 ZS?
I sow Audigy 2 LS in my local store but cant find info on creative.com about it.

    Z_unit,
The Audigy 2 ZS is our current top of the line audio card. It supports DTS decoding and is capable of 7. output. I am not aware of an Audigy 2 LS, however we have an Audigy LS which is a 5. capable sound card that is based on our original Audigy's features. Was the card that you were looking at in a retail box or was it in a brown box?

  • Difference between a master DVD and a regular DVD

Can anyone explain to me the difference between a master DVD and a regular DVD. What is the workflow from FCP to compressor then DVDSP as far as bitrate settings etc? Thanks in advance!!

LOL - I wouldn't let it worry you... we all start somewhere.
When you click on 'Build and Format' you get a window appearing which lets you set all kinds of different parameters. At the bottom you will see two drop down boxes. Choose 'Hard Drive' in the top one, and '.img' in the second. This will tell DVDSP to create a disc image and put it in the location that you then specify. When done, you can double click this image and it will open like a DVD disc would - if you have got DVD Player running then your project will run as if it was on a physical disc (although slightly quicker).

  • Difference between BI 7.0 and Prior versions

    hi all,
can any one please tell me the diff between BI and BW .please send any docs or PDF'S on that if possible.and what are the new features available in BI 7.0 .please send the docs or pdf's to [email protected] help will be greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance,
    ashok

    Hi Ashok,
I am listing some of the imp differences between BW 3.5 and BW 7.0 below:
    1. Data Modeling Flow:
    a.     Create Data source
    b.     Create Info source
    c.     Create Transformations b/w data source and info source (earlier it was transfer rules)
    d.     Create Info Package
    e.     Create Info Provider (info cube or Data Store Object instead of ODS)
    f.     Create Transfer rules b/w info source and data targets (instead of Update rules)
    g.     Create DTP (data transfer process). To pull the data from Info package (i.e. from PSA) to Info Provider.
    2. For Delta option in customized cube there is one new feature called – “Filter no new records” which is present in DTP’s of Data Store Object.
    3. In Info sets now you can include Info cubes as well.
    4. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
    5. The BI accelerator (for now only for info cubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
    6. The monitoring has been improved with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in your project for implementing the portal!
    7. Search functionality has improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
    8. Transformations are in and routines are passed ! Yes, you can always revert to the old transactions too.
    9. Data Transfer Process are in.  It is used to pull the data from Info package (i.e. from PSA) to Info Provider.

  • Doubt about difference between "Send to sap" and "Send EWA Alerts to SAP"

    Hello All
I hope that you can help me is juts a doubt about 2 check boxes
I'm on setup of a EWA but when i´m on the configuration (dates, transfers ewa to sap, archiving of EWA etc) i see 2 check boxes
that i don't know what is the difference
    The path is the following
Tcode = DSWP --> Select the solution --> (the left column) Operations Setup --> Solution Monitoring --> EarlyWatch Alert  --> Setup EarlyWatch Alert
Could you tell me what is the difference between "Send to SAP" and "Send EWA alerts to SAP" boxes?
Thanks and have a nice day

    Hello Cherios,
The "Send to SAP" check box is used when you want to sent a Production or Test (Quality) systems EWA data to SAP for analysis.
Currently the "Send EWA Alerts to SAP" is not used at this time, and actually cannot be selected, and saved.
There should now be no doubt about the two check box fields .
    Hope this information is helpful.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • Differences between BW 3.5 and BW 7

    Hi All,
Does anyone have any kind of documentation about the differences between BW 3.5 and BW 7 ?
    Thanks!

Some features of BI 7 are
    1. In Infosets now you can include Infocubes as well.
    2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
    3. The BI accelerator (for now only for infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
    4. The monitoring has been imprvoed with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal !
    5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
    6. Transformations are in and routines are passe! Yess, you can always revert to the old transactions too.
    7. In 3.5, suppose I want to locate an infosource. I will have to go to the infosource tab in RSA1 and then search.
Also I cant search for any free text.
This has been improved in BI 7. In case of BI 7, in RSA1, we have a new tab called search, (i think below source systems) where u can search any object. Like a normal windows search which will search any text across all folders !! Hope this clarifies....
And yes, If one wants to go back to the old administrator workbench, then he simplpy hass to run transaction rsa1old!!

  • The difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and AIR-ANT5135DB-R

    Hi,
Anyone know what is the difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and  AIR-ANT5135DB-R ?
From the dynamic configuration tools for 1252 and 1242, AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside one of the antenna option.
However, I can't find it in the "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7183/ps469/product_data_sheet09186a008008883b.html
Inside the document there is only AIR-ANT5135D-R.
likewise for the 2.4 GHz,  AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside the dynamic configuration tools and not inside "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference  Guide"
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Richard

Found the difference, AIR-ANT5135DB-R and       AIR-ANT2422DB-R are  non-articulating antennas.
    Thanks!
