    Hello experts,
I have a question regarding laptop gaming performance.
I have HP Pavilion G6 2005ax with AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) graphics. But gaming performance is not awesome. It's not capable to run latest PC game at highest settings.
My question is that Is there any difference between AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) and AMD 7640g + 7670m (2.5 GB) graphics cards performance...?
One graphics card hase 7670m 1GB and second one has 7670m 2GB graphics RAM.
So which one perform better and why....?
Should I upgrade AMD 7670m 1GB to AMD 7670m 2GB to play latest pc games at highest settings.....?

    Hi,
Same GPU but more RAM will perform better. You have to make decision before hand, upgrading it is a pain.

  • Is there a huge difference between the £999 Imac to purchase on store and a £300 refurb G5 model?

Is the difference between these machines so huge? I can see how certain specs are double but does that = double the speed? triple the price? I tried asking an apple support tech via the online chat and was simply told
"The technology of the newer machines is awesome"
If I walk into a car showroom, and I say "My Ford model bla has this engine, and these parts, I can make it go this fast" the sales-rep can turn around and say "Ahh but the new ford mondeos can travel up to XYZ" I don't get told "Well that car is old, you should buy our new one because I think it's awesome"
Considering the apple G5 is ONLY 5 years old, It seems to be hard to pin down the difference in speed/performance compared to the other companies.
Is someone with more technical gifting than I able to look at the 2 specs and say "This machine on average will be 500% faster" or "Actually, it will only be 40% faster".
    £300 from a refurb dealer.

  • Difference between graphics

Hey, can someone tell me the difference between AMD Radeon HD 6480G discrete-class graphics and ATI Radeon™ HD 6480G?  And how much of a difference is 400 Mhz in a procressor if the one with 400 mHz more is i3 while the lower one with turbo ability to increase to 2500 is AMD? Thank you

In plain english, real world examples, what are the real differences between these options?
    What will a 750 with 1GB do for me that a 650 with 512MB won't?
What's the Iris Pro equivalent to?
I don't do any heavy gaming, video editing or graphic design; I'll mostly be using it for general web surfing, watcihng movies (both streaming and downloaded), and light/medium gaming (the Portal series via Steam, for example).  So I know I don't need the biggest, most powerful GPU out there.  I just want to better understand my options.
You won't see any difference in performance with the way you will be using your computer so purchase the machine you want.

    DATA: DATE   LIKE SFLIGHT-FLDATE,
          CARRID LIKE SFLIGHT-CARRID,
          CONNID LIKE SFLIGHT-CONNID.
    SELECT FCARRID FCONNID F~FLDATE
        INTO (CARRID, CONNID, DATE)
FROM SFLIGHT AS F INNER JOIN SPFLI AS P
               ON FCARRID = PCARRID AND
                  FCONNID = PCONNID
        WHERE P~CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
          AND P~CITYTO   = 'NEW YORK'
          AND F~FLDATE BETWEEN '20010910' AND '20010920'
          AND FSEATSOCC < FSEATSMAX.
      WRITE: / DATE, CARRID, CONNID.
    ENDSELECT.
If there are columns with the same name in both tables, you must distinguish between them by prefixing the field descriptor with the table name or a table alias.
    Note
In order to determine the result of a SELECT command where the FROM clause contains a join, the database system first creates a temporary table containing the lines that meet the ON condition. The WHERE condition is then applied to the temporary table. It does not matter in an inner join whether the condition is in the ON or WHEREclause. The following example returns the same solution as the previous one.
    Example
Output of a list of all flights from Frankfurt to New York between September 10th and 20th, 2001 that are not sold out:
    DATA: DATE   LIKE SFLIGHT-FLDATE,
          CARRID LIKE SFLIGHT-CARRID,
          CONNID LIKE SFLIGHT-CONNID.
    SELECT FCARRID FCONNID F~FLDATE
        INTO (CARRID, CONNID, DATE)
FROM SFLIGHT AS F INNER JOIN SPFLI AS P
               ON FCARRID = PCARRID
        WHERE FCONNID = PCONNID
          AND P~CITYFROM = 'FRANKFURT'
          AND P~CITYTO   = 'NEW YORK'
          AND F~FLDATE BETWEEN '20010910' AND '20010920'
          AND FSEATSOCC < FSEATSMAX.
      WRITE: / DATE, CARRID, CONNID.
    ENDSELECT.
    Note
Since not all of the database systems supported by SAP use the standard syntax for ON conditions, the syntax has been restricted. It only allows those joins that produce the same results on all of the supported database systems:
Only a table or view may appear to the right of the JOIN operator, not another join expression.
Only AND is possible in the ON condition as a logical operator.
Each comparison in the ON condition must contain a field from the right-hand table.
If an outer join occurs in the FROM clause, all the ON conditions must contain at least one "real" JOIN condition (a condition that contains a field from tabref1 amd a field from tabref2.
    Note
In some cases, '*' may be specified in the SELECT clause, and an internal table or work area is entered into the INTO clause (instead of a list of fields). If so, the fields are written to the target area from left to right in the order in which the tables appear in the FROM clause, according to the structure of each table work area. There can then be gaps between table work areas if you use an Alignment Request. For this reason, you should define the target work area with reference to the types of the database tables, not simply by counting the total number of fields. For an example, see below:
    Variant 3
... FROM tabref1 LEFT [OUTER] JOIN tabref2 ON cond
    Effect
Selects the data from the transparent database tables and/or views specified in tabref1 and tabref2. tabref1 und tabref2 both have either the same form as in variant 1 or are themselves join expressions. The keyword OUTER can be omitted. The database tables or views specified in tabref1 and tabref2 must be recognized by the ABAP-Dictionary.
In order to determine the result of a SELECT command where the FROM clause contains a left outer join, the database system creates a temporary table containing the lines that meet the ON condition. The remaining fields from the left-hand table (tabref1) are then added to this table, and their corresponding fields from the right-hand table are filled with ZERO values. The system then applies the WHERE condition to the table.
Left outer join between table 1 and table 2 where column D in both tables set the join condition:

  • What's the difference between pc alert III and pc alert 4?

    hi i'm running a K7N420 Pro bios 2.4 with an athlon xp 2000+ .
anyway just wondering what is the difference between the 2 stated softwares, since the msi download site doesn't seem to have any description on their functions.
also could someone please tell me what is the operating temperature range for the xp 2000+ using a standard amd issue fan?
    cheers,
    ron

Not really. You can have music in folders that you do not designate MediaSource to monitor. These will not show up in your music library. Same thing is true in Windows Media Player. I know how WMP works--it creates a database of music files all over your computer (in the locations you tell it to monitor). It then uses this database of track and tag info to build the "library" you see in the player. I think Mediasource works in a similar way.
Theoretically, you can have folders of music on your computer that do not show up in either library because you told the player to look elsewhere for music files.

  • Any real difference between a 1.83 and 2.0 MacBook Pro?

    Hi all,
I have recently bought a MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz model. It was on sale at my local computer store and I thought it was a good find, as it was brand new and was selling for £1099, a £300 saving on the 2.0 GHz model. Before I start using it, I just wanted to know if anyone knew if there was a real performance difference between the two and should I have paid the extra £300 to get the 2.0 GHz machine?
I only ask this, as I know that over time Apple sometimes tweak the machine to improve it and (after talking with someone at Apple), I've been told that there have been 5 or 6 changes to the inner workings (or revisions as they called them), and I wondered if this changed the performance or if it was just minor improvements regarding heat and noise and so on.
To finish, does anyone have any speculation as if this is a good time to buy a MacBook Pro with the introduction of the Core 2 Duo chips in the new iMacs?
    Many thanks.
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   1.83GHz Core Duo / 512MB / 80GB

So what you are saying is that the 170 MHZ difference between the 1.83 and the 2.0 is noticeable, but the 160 MHZ difference between the 2.0 and the 2.16 is not?
I thought we were passed the marketing gimmicks and the clock speed race, but I guess not.
Clock speed doesn't tell you anything about the performance of a CPU. Intel almost ran themselves into the ground by trying to pump up their clock speeds and feeding that tripe to the masses. AMD focused on a solid architecture that created a robust chip. As a result AMD took the lead in performance and stability.
Intel's greatest achievement to date has been the PIII Coppermine. So good was this architecture that they have gone back to it. The Centrinos are based off the Coppermines as are the dual cores.
The point of the story is that clock speed means nothing. Save your cash and put it to better use by getting a 7200 rpm drive or more RAM.

Might be a daft question but whats the difference between K8T Neo-FIS2R and K8T Neo-FSR????

I though the SAME thing But was told Otherwise by a Mod. Because with the PENTIUM Based Boards "2" Does Mean Two Different Types of RAID Not JUST the Difference in the Southbridge and the Onboard Controller, Because the (2) in the i875PE-FIS2R means that Both the ICH5-R and And the Promise Controller support BOTH S-ATA RAID, and P-ATA IDE RAID, as there is a P-ATA IDE Controller on The Onboard Promise Chip also, as it is IDE-3 .....So I Imagine we are BOTH Correct, But this WILL Teach me to Open my Mouth in the AMD Side of the Forum ...Just Kidding......Sean

For ex: I want to generate a report with cobination of MM and SD field.which are available in my MM amd SD cubes. So that i'll creat a infoset and join these two cubes. Then i can ablle gerenat a required report. But here codition is that 'One common field is must in both cubes' then only it works.
    Infocube is a MDM model.

thanks A LOT Aaron, that is some comfort but Please tell me a few notable enhancement, i had a look at intel site but it could not tell any a mjor difference i wonder if you can, many thanks
    Some of the differences are:
Die shrink from 65nm to 45nm; it is more energy efficient (i.e. it should use less power); it has a larger level 2 cache and it should run a little cooler then the E6000 series.  Also reviewers have said that they are running about 5 to 15% faster clock for clock compared to the E6000 series.
Downside right now is that they are in short supply and priced higher then expected because of it.

    Hey listen up guys....
For the first I want to point out that "newbie" refer to the time as a member at this forum, not to my experience and knowledge with computeres.
Secondly I appeal to your professional self, and assume that you read all the posts in the topic before you post an answer. Otherwise we risk that the same misinformation keeps being posted; You can't judge a book by it's cover!!!
Så tag jer sammen....... I posted links to both mainboards spec. in this topic.
I beleave both mainboards have the same BIOS chip, so that s... about -v boards lacks options in BIOS, is bull. And what have that to do with the manual??? Poor manual....
They both have onboard AGP port, supporting AGP 4x and 8x.
They both have the "P4" power connector, they both support AMD 3200+
They have the same sound sources; THE SAME CHIPSET
So we are down to size......

  • Difference between 21.5" and 27" iMac (GHz)

I'm looking to buy a new iMac for performance-intensive work on applications like Final Cut and After Effects.
Is there a noticeable difference between the 21.5" iMac (2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7) and the 27" iMac (3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7)?
And by that I mean is the $500 or so price difference going to be readily apparent in how fast the the computer is?
Additionally, each computer would have 16GB of RAM, and I suppose I'd get the AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5 for the 27" vs. the AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512MB GDDR5 for the 21.5" if that would make a difference.
    Thanks!

    Hello Sam.
The 27" is worth the $500 for the screen real estate alone in my opinion.  I just replaced a 3 year old MacPro at work with the 27" i5, iMac for my graphic designer who uses Final Cut Studio as well as several Adobe products to produce HD video.  The iMac has 16 GB RAM, 1TB HD, 1GB video RAM and far out performs the MacPro that has 20GB RAM.  My designer went from a 20" Apple Cinema monitor on the MacPro to the 27" iMac and absolutely loves it.  He tells me that the rendering speed is much faster than the MacPro.  I'll assume you will get similar performance with the 21.5", but we made the decision to pay for that 27" display and do not regret it at all.
    Hope this is helpful.
