  • Difference between classic and ECC pca

    Hi All,
Could someone please tell me what is the difference between Classic and ECC PCA?
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hi
Enhancement of new general ledger flexibility, that is you can enter user-defined fields  and update the corresponding totals (Profit Center / Segment / Region). Many standard reports can evaluate the information from the user-defined fields.
Due to the new document splitting function  (Online Split) you can create financial statements, if required, at the company code level as well as for entities, such as the Profit centers / Segment.
Using the u201CDocument splittingu201D function (online document split), you can create balance sheets for company codes as well as for further entities such as the profit center . The balance is then set to 0 for each document for the profit center.
There are no longer any time-consuming reconciliation tasks between FI and CO  for the end of period, since in real-time in Controlling, the system transfers cross entity processes into the new general ledger.
Transactions 3KEH and 3KEI  from the classic Profit Center Accounting for maintaining proposal profit centers for balance sheet and P&L accounts are no longer used to set the profit center.
Display of receivables and payable's per profit center real time ( if document splitting is active).
Detailed information for the setting the Profit Center accounting in the New General Ledger:
Define the update of the characteristics u201CProfit Centeru201D and u201CPartner Profit Centeru201D in the ledger by selecting the scenario u201CProfit center updateu201D.
Define the field u201CProfit centeru201D as a splitting characteristic in the document splitting.
Set the u201CZero balanceu201D indicator again for the added field u201CProfit centeru201D and you therefore have to create balance sheets on the profit center.
Activate the required entry field check to ensure that the profit center is set in all postings.
EC-PCA Profit Center Accounting u2013 Profit center accounting forms an interface between the operative controlling (CO) applications and the Enterprise Controlling (EC) module It reflects the actual and plan postings from operative controlling and settlements components with which it is in targeted in real-time. It then summarizes this data according to profit centers, which reflect the internal structure of areas of responsibility within the company code

  • What is the difference between Classic and Extended Withholding Tax

    Hi,
Can some please tell me what is the difference between Classic Withholding and Extended Withholding Tax. How can I look at the Withholding Tax deducted from a particular invoice?
    Number Guaranteed.
    Thanks.

    Dear Prem,
Withholding tax is the basically a tax withheld during the Vendor payment. So when making the payment to vendor the amount will be deduct (i.e withheld tax)
from the invoice and paid. The customer is actually the tax to tax authorities.
you can visit for more info.
    Withholding Tax
For the config steps you go to the IMG path FI > Financila accounting for the Global settings > Withholding Tax
Withholding tax configuration is done by FI person.
    Hope this helps you

  • What's the difference between classic and tlf text?

Tried doing some googling, and beyond some non-descript answers of TLF has more functionality and causes a lot of bugs I can't find the difference between the 2.
Wondering if I should switch all my text boxes to classic, if it would save some resources.

Been fiddling with classic text, how do give it a name to edit it in code? There are certain aspects of TLF I am using like to display stats of a selected object or change it's backgroundColor.  For the most part I can recreate the functionality I'm using through other means, but how do I update text if it doesn't have a name?
    (added)
Found how to do it, needed to change it to dynamic.  Thanks again for the help.

  • Difference between old and new MM?

Staying in front of dillemma. Don't know what to buy: old MacMini or new one with Intel? What is the difference between them besides speed? Is that difference so important for people who is not so big specialists? Thanks in advance for reply.

Not surprisingly, this question is being asked rather frequently at present, but it is now getting harder and harder to find G4-based minis, so it's not going to be long before there is no choice.
The Intel minis are certainly faster than the PPC versions, an in some applications it's quite noticable, though it has to be said that in the usual sort of tasks involving web browsing, email, typing etc, there's not much difference that you would expect to see. If you were planning to use iMovie, Garageband, iPhoto etc, then the Intel version would be a better bet, and certainly if you are hoping to push the system quite hard by regular and perhaps demanding tasks.
Personally, after testing a couple of Intel mini's, I'm happy with my G4 models - at least for another year or two, but in part that's because at this time some of the software I run is NOT Intel native, so it would run slower on the Intel models under emulation than it does on the G4. If you had a collection of existing software titles you wanted to run (things like Photoshop or inDesign for example) that would be a serious consideration to be taken into account in your decision, since these aren't Intel native as yet and no immediate announcement of them becoming so.
I would have to say that in my experience, for the sort of things most people use a computer, you likely would be very happy with either. Just bear in mind that the more memory the system, the better it will run anyway.

  • Difference between i7 and new i7

Hi - not a critical question but curious if anyone can tell me what differences there are between the i7 I bought about 3 weeks ago, and the new one released this week. No buyers remorse but curious none the less.
    Thanks
    Jon

Hi as far as I understand it the changes are:
    1. Around 4,5% faster processor with unlocked overclocking posibility.
    2. Memory running at 1333Mhz (think old one was running at 1066Mhz even if memorys was 1333Mhz?)
    3. A BIG upgrade of the GPU
    4. Option for 2 HDD:s directly from apple without the need to take avay the optical drive to get a 2nd HDD.
Basicly the only big upgrade is the GPU, so unless you play games much you wont notice any difference between the two.

  • Difference between classic App and EPMA Appl

    hi,
I am very new to hfm...
So could you plz explain about what is difference between Classic Application and EPMA Application.
In which cases we will create these applications.
What is the uses of Both Applications?
How do we create EPMA Application? Usually which application is more flexible?
    Edited by: 809370 on Dec 6, 2010 5:24 AM

    Hi,
The basic difference is that you would be able to share dimensions across applications through EPMA.If you have a Planning application and a HFM app. and they both use a same dimension, then you don't need to create the dimension twice in EPMA. You can share the dimension across both applications. 'Dimension Library' enables youto do that.

  • Difference between Classic Scenario and Extended Classic Scenario

    Hi Expers,
    I need your help again........:-)
I just want to know what is the differne between classic and Extended Classic Scenario.
    Points will be rewarded
    Thank you
    sam

    Hi Sam,
    (explaination frm a previous thread)
    Difference between scenarios
WIth classic scenario, the SC following document is to be created in your R/3 backend(s). Thus you can get an PO, a PR or a stock reservation in R/3.
With extended classic the following document is to be found in SRM itself. Thus from a SC item you can get a complete PO, an incomplete PO or depending on your customizing a Sourcing cockpit (now called Sourcing Application) requirement. Additional FM are called when you tick the box "Enable Extended classic" in the IMG activity, enabling you to get a local PD.
If you need to get a stock reservation in R/3 with extended classic, you will have to switch back to classic scenario for the particular category or product with a dedicated BADI ("Control extended classic ").
Be aware that with extended classic, the PO created in R/3 is not exactly a replication. That is a "copy" with that crucial difference that the SRM PO will use a different Purchase Organization that of R/3. It enables you to centralize your purchasing. In SRM you can create a "local" Purch. Org for EMEA zone for instance while in R/3 that is rare you can purchasing above a country (because in the backend you have to produce legal documents related to one company). Those "local" (=SRM) Purch. Org. are required to enable extended classic and it makes simpler Contract management for instance (in classic scenario contracts may need to be replicated to your R/3 back end and adjusted for each back end and each Purch Org in R/3, and even for each plants).
In a nutshell with extended classic you have a PO in SRM, and this PO is assigned to a different Purch Org that of R/3. Purch Org in R/3 are determined on the basis of the "LOcation" (R/3 plant you have replicated from your backent into SRM).
Extended classic is required for service purchasing when you want your requesters to be able to adjust the PO price while they can not access R3. In extended classic, PO is issued from SRM and not from R3.

  • Looking for new laptop what are the differences between pro and air? Besides size. Does the air preform like the pro?

Looking for new laptop what are the differences between pro and air? Besides size. Does the air preform like the pro?

The NEW macbook Pro and Air are EXTREMELY close in form factor
The newest macbook Pro is essentially a larger macbook Air with Retina display and options for speed in increasing prices up to an independent graphics and quad core processor.
both Air and new Pro now have PCIe SSD and permanent RAM.
The Air is the lightweight portable form factor, fast to boot and shut down, but with longer battery life than any of the macbook pro in 13"
Now the new macbook Pro and macbook Air are extremely close in form factor and nature.
    both have 802ac wifi
both have permanent RAM, no superdrive
both are slim profiles and SSD
The only real differences now are (in the most expensive Pros) faster processors and quadcore processors and top end model autonomous graphics.
....and of course the retina display
both are now "very good for travel"
Other than features the form factor of the Air and Pro are VERY close now,....so now its merely a matter of features and price more than anything.
You need an external HD regardless of what you get for backups etc.   Drop into an Apple store and handle both and make your choice based on features, such as Retina or non-retina, .... both at a distance now look like the same computer.
The Pro weighs more, ....but nowhere near what it used to just a month ago on the older macbook Pros
The NEW macbook Pro is a different creature entirely than the older macbook Pro, .....the new Pro is thicker than the Air, but id frankly call the NEWEST Pro a "macbook Air with Retina display" , or
Maybe a “macbook Air PRO with Retina display”
Instead of Air VS Pro now,.....its really a smooth transition from Air to pro without comparing say, 2 different creatures, now its like contrasting a horse from a race horse.
Either one in 8gig of RAM (preferably)... the 4gig upgrade costs very little,  the I7 you will notice only 15% faster on heavy applications over the I5, and NOTHING on most APPS.....I5 has longer battery life.
As you see below, the non-Retina 13" AIR is 82% of the Macbook with Retina display in resolution
there is no magical number of pixels per inch that automatically equates to Retina quality.
    http://www.cultofmac.com/168509/why-you-might-be-disappointed-by-the-resolution- of-those-new-retina-display-macs-feature/
A huge internal SSD isnt a game changer for anything, you need an external HD anyway
what you WONT READ on Apple.com etc. is that the larger SSD  are MUCH FASTER due to SSD density
"The 512GB Samsung SSD found in our 13-inch model offers roughly a 400MB/s increase in write speeds over the 128GB SanDisk/Marvell SSD"

  • Differences between Classic BW and HANA on BW?

    Dear Friends,
can we discuss here what are main difference between classic BW and HANA on BW?
Please share your thoughts who was involved in RAMPup.
already know some differences IMDB DSO, Cube, still some gaps are not clarify till i install BW on HAN
    thanks
    rao

First of all , HANA Enterprise Extend edition DOES NOT Meets all  BW features.
There are no best scenario, it is dependent on scenarios.HANA SPS3 scenarios would be great fit  for Agile Data mart however BW on HANA would be great fit for EDW scenarios.
For users who already have BW with BWA, BW on HANA bring performance improvement on the other side of equation (ETL side)  along with query improvement.
At high level, following are some of techinal issues with using HANA SPS 3 as "One fit for all" :
    1. Currently, there is no reporting tool available which can recogonize variable functionality of HANA. One may use universe variable functionality however the functionality will not provide all exhaustive options.
    2. Currently Hierarchies cannot be recogonized by any of reporting tools.
    3. Currently Data Level security options in HANA is limited.
Another dimension to consider is if you have planning application,Integrated Planning is currently supported and BPC will be supported soon (the scenario is only possible BW on HANA).
    Hope this is helpful.
    PS:
Regarding HANA 1.0 SPS3, for your below scenario:
    SAP & non SAP  -  BODS 4.0 -- HANA 1.0 SPS3 -- BI 4.0( Any front end ODBC support )
you will need BODS 4.1 version.

  • Difference between classic Recruitment and E-Recruitment

    Hi experts.
In our company we want to implement recruitment processes of SAP. But I want exactly know what is the difference between Recruitment and E-recruitment.
to implement recruitment with new web interface or to implement E-recruitment ? Please to provide reason why first one or other one. I'd like to know detailed difference . Every helpful answer will be regarded.
    Regards
    Garayev

As far as I know for recruitment you need to open vacant position to be able to run the process, but in E-Recruitment you do not need to create vacant position. You can run E-Recruitment with or without position.
Also E-Recruitment can be linked with ipad or other tablet pc's such as managers or hr recruiters can take notes during the interview and notes in the interviews can directly be recorded in E-Recruitment.
With E-Recruitment it is much easier to collect data of applicants who are not working in the company.

  • Difference between Classic RE and RE-FX  (Real Estate Management)?

    Hi all,
I am in a product developement team for developing a industrial Solution for HomeBuilding, for that we require Real estate(RE) Management Component....
So i want to know some of the basics of the RE....
    Can someone explain me,
<b>1) The difference between Classic RE and RE-FX.
    2) Now which we have to use for Homebuilding.
    3) what are the prerequisites for using RE or RE-FX.
    4) From which version they are available. can we still use classic RE.
    5) What is the difference in using RE Management as individual application and as a part of Homebuilding....
    </b>
Hope your answers will be as simpler and eloborate so as to my understading as a fresher in this field....
I Expect more links for online resources, presentations and Documents if any...
    Thanks in advance....
    Regards,
    Karthik D

<b>So you want to know some of the basics of the RE....</b>
Real Estate Management module is more robust in managing Real Estate properties for activities and processes like leasing, property maintenance like manging repairs etc (when attached to Plant Maintenance module). You can also use it for Lease in's. (caution: please associate 'renting' wherever lease is mentioned, not to get confused with lease of machinery or financia lease etc.)
The <b>main</b> master data in RE are like  Business Entity,Property,  Buildings, Rental Units and Leaseout. These are called RE-Objects and they are also <b>Controlling objects.</b> For example let's take Spenzer Plaza in Chennai and you are the owner. The whole Spencer Plaza will be a <b>Business Entity</b>. The land in there will be created as a <b>Property</b> and the building structure as <b>Building</b>. The several floors or the individual rentable portions will be created as <b>Rental Units</b>. When 'Planet M' approaches you to rent one of the floors, you create a <b>Lease out</b> with reference to one of the Rental Unit.
The system automatically creates a schecule of periodic rentals called cash flow and it has the capabilities to debit the customer Planet M account with the rent due. etc.
You can also maintain information to land through Land Register.
<b>2) Now which we have to use for Homebuilding.</b> and
<b>5) What is the difference in using RE Management as individual application and as a part of Homebuilding....</b>
These are not used for Homebuilding.
<b>3) what are the prerequisites for using RE or RE-FX.</b>
You need to have FI and CO before you can use REM.
<b>4) From which version they are available. can we still use classic RE.</b>
4.5B onwards RE was introduced as a Inudstry specific module under FI. It became as a part of FI  from 4.6B December 1999. The RE-FX cameinto effect from Enterprise version.
You can continue to use RE Classic even in later releases. But once you activate the RE-FX you can no longer user Classic. There is a switch to start using RE-FX.
<b>1) The difference between Classic RE and RE-FX.</b>
There were some restriction in classic RE that you must have an RE Objects before you can create a contract. In RE-FX these have been removed. For more information on RE-FX you can read the release notes available on SAP's help portal.
