Difference between Downpayment and normal invoice in updating BSEG table

Hi,
I created 2 different documents, 1 invoice via FB60 and 1 downpayment request between F-47.
After which i perform a payment run via F110 on both documents and i realised that the bank account id for the document created via F-47 is not updated in the field HBKID for the BSEG table. However, HBKID is updated for the invoice created via FB60.
I would like to if this is correct or if there is any config i need to perform for the HBKID field to be updated for document created via F-47.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please, look at the following note 524942. It should solve your problem...

Eli

  • Difference between LIV and Normal Invoice document

    Hi Guys,
What is the difference between an LIV invoice and a normal FI invoice document.
Are the entries different or something.
In which cases do we go for LIV invoicing.
    thanks
    srik.

    Hi,
LIV is useful for verifying goods which related to MM. When goods purchased or when received verifying the invoice details like quantity, rate, invoice number etc., PO with the invoice. LIV is linked to FI and MM. But FI inovice is creating only in FI, it no where linked to any module.
Entries are different in both cases.

  • Difference between downpayment and Milestone billing

    Dear Guru's
can anyone tell me what is the difference between downpayment and milestone billing. And also tell me anyother things are there in this process.
    regards,
    Reshmi

    hi
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan. Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.

  • Difference between admin and normal user

    Hi Community,
how does the user right management works when an admin account is used? In Mac OSX an admin isn't really an admin account  because the user become prompted for the (admin) user password again if he require higher privileges. Microsoft implemented since Windows Vista a similar technique, an administrator account works with a normal user token and if higher privileges are needed, the user will get the UAC dialog to grant higher privileges. This is done by providing the user an admin token temporarily.
Is this the same way Mac OSX works or is this done by a different technique?

Thanks a lot. The link  to the Mac OS security configuration guide seems to be broken but I took a short look into the Linux guide and this is also very interesting, even if I'm not using Redhat but Debian.

I remember this on earlier days in Linux when the actual directory (.) was at the end of the $PATH variable. This could end in the same issue after all.

  • No difference between High and Normal output sharpening

I was going to post a topic about how small is difference between screen output sharpening settings, when some tests revealed that in fact the difference is nil.
b Can anyone see any difference between Normal and High screen sharpening in applied at export?
I even stacked the two versions in Photoshop with the Difference blending mode on and a Levels adjustment layer amplifying the difference, and even the histogram was showing that I'be got big plain black rectangle.
Sharpening for paper seems to work fine.
    Lightroom 2.3 Windows.

Just took the time to test this on my 'calibration' image and there is indeed no difference in Standard and High sharpening for screen.
Same result with and without resizing image; with and without jpeg compression; with both tif and jpeg files.
    Lr 2.3 on XP.

  • What is the difference between abstract and normal class

What will be the difference if I replaced :
    public abstract MyWork {
    [/code]
    by public MyWork { ........
    THanks in Advance
    Tleis

To clear all that up for those guys:
An abstract class must be subclassed or instantiated as an anonymous class. It can have any of the same members as a regular class and in addition it can define abstract methods. Any abstract methods must be implemented by the subclass or else that class too must be declared abstract.
An abstract class is different from an interface. Java gives you only a single ancester in your class hierarchy. You will force an implementation to become a descendant of your abstract class -- and therefore no other. In "object oriented programming", the term "an 'is-a' relationship" is used to describe that relationship between any subclass and its superclass. However you like to put it: this is the relationship you will be defining when you write your abstract class.

  • Difference between 2way and 3way invoice matching

    Hi Gurus,
What configuration needs to be done for 2way or 3way invoice matching concept??
How can we find out whether an invoice is 2way based or 3way based? What are the different impacts of 2way and 3way?
    Please revert asap.
    Thank You

    2-Way Match
    1. - PO & invoice should match
2.- Quantity Billed <= Quantity Ordered
    3.- No Receipt required
    3-way Match
1.- Receipt, PO & invoice should match
2.- Quantity Billed <= Quantity Received
    3.- Receipt required
In 3 way match - If the invoice is matched to the goods receipt ,the price is matched to the purchase order and the variance is within predefined tolerances, then the invoice is cleared for payment. If the invoice exceeds the predefined tolerances, the invoice will be posted and blocked for payment.

  • Difference between LIS and Lo extraction

    Hi,
Wat is the Difference between LIS and LO extraction.
    Thanks,
    Sanu

    HI
One good difference between lis and los is
lis uses transparent tables where as los use cluster tables
ust some infos about LIS flows....
with Plug-In 2001.2 S2xx-Structures have been replaced by Logistics Extraction Cockpit. However, R/3 releases 4.x support S2xx-Structures and Logistics Extraction Cockpit in parallel.
With new LBWE extractors there are a lot of benefits:
    - Detailed Extraction: extraction can be deactivated (e.g. Schedule Line Data) leads to leaner extractors with less volume.
    - Document Changes: only BW-relevant data changes will be updated (less upload volume).
    - LIS-Tables are not updated reduced data volume due to avoided redundancy.
    - Update with Batch-Process (V3) -> no load on daily business (but now there are available different delta methods as the direct delta...)
    - No LIS-Know How necessary.
    - Functional Enhancements easy to be done.
    - Central, uniform maintenance tool for logistics applications (LBWE)
    - No Delta-Tables (SnnnBIW1/-2) no double update, no double Data-Storage
    - A lot of flows are covered: Purchasing,Inventory Controlling, Shop Floor Control, Quality Management, Shipment, Sales, Shipping, Billing, Plant Maintenance, Customer Service,
    hope this helps

    hi,
like -> used for refering existing data elements in data dictionary or in sap
type -> used for refering existing data types in sap.
types: used for creating used defined structure of tables which has fields from more tahn one table.
diff b/w types and type in creation of internal tables is that when u create a table with types then u can use same for work area creation also.
    ex:
    TYPES : BEGIN OF t_vbap,
    vbeln1 LIKE vbeln,
    posnr LIKE posnr,
    kwmeng LIKE kwmeng,
    netpr LIKE netpr,
    netwr LIKE netwr,
    werks LIKE werks,
    matnr LIKE matnr,
    arktx LIKE arktx,
    END OF t_vbap.
    data: itab1 type t_vbap
            wa_itab1 type t_vbap.
when type is used then u have to create a defintion of work area for another time when internal table doesnt have headr line as
    ex:
    DATA : BEGIN OF t_vbap OCCURS 0,
    vbeln1 LIKE vbap-vbeln,
    posnr LIKE vbap-posnr,
    kwmeng LIKE vbap-kwmeng,
    netpr LIKE vbap-netpr,
    netwr LIKE vbap-netwr,
    werks LIKE vbap-werks,
    matnr LIKE vbap-matnr,
    arktx LIKE vbap-arktx,
    END OF t_vbap.
    DATA : BEGIN OF wa_vbap,
    vbeln1 LIKE vbap-vbeln,
    posnr LIKE vbap-posnr,
    kwmeng LIKE vbap-kwmeng,
    netpr LIKE vbap-netpr,
    netwr LIKE vbap-netwr,
    werks LIKE vbap-werks,
    matnr LIKE vbap-matnr,
    arktx LIKE vbap-arktx,
    END OF wa_vbap.
    if helpful reward soem points.

  • Difference between MERGE and Update/Insert

Can anybody pls tell me what is the difference between MERGE and Update/Insert statements.

    hi vivek,
merge is totally different than normal update and insert.Merge is a combination of update+inserrt.
Merge statment first checks the data in your table, if data is already exists then it will try to update the data otherwise it will go for insertion. In case of normal update/insert it will not check the data directly it does the specified operation.
So based on your requirement you have to select the best option.
    Thanks.

    regards
    Arora

    Hi Nishant Arora,
Modify: It works in performing two actions.
    They are: Insert + Update.
For Example If a record that is exited in database, so you are modifying that record, it updates that particular record.
Similarly, If the is not existed in the database, you are modifying it, it inserts a new record.
Update: Update means just it updates the status, I mean it only updates the record. It doesn't inserts any new record if that particular record is not present in the database.
These are the cases you need to write these statements.
    Syntaxes: :

  • Difference between billing and invoice?

    Hi all
can anybody say Difference between billing and invoice?
    thanks

    Hi Ipsit,
Invoice is document indicating to delivery goods and Billing is a receipt of payment
Tables are VBRK & VBRP. For flow, go to transaction VF03, enter document number and hit 'Display Document Flow' button on toolbar
VBRK and VBRP holds billing/invoice details..
    Billing Document:
Generic term for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, pro forma invoices and cancellation documents.
The tables are VBRK and VBRP.
    2) -- once u do PGI the delivery document will be created. There is no way to stop it.. The thing u can to do go to the list of created deliveries in VL09. Select the delivery doc which u created. There u have the option of reversing the goods or canceling it.
Billing is generic term and u can say invoice is a type of billing document.
After PGI only way left is to cancel it by Using TCODE MBST as this Tcode is used to cancel any material document.
    Please Reward If Really Helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,

how u can find out price differences

    hi,
During Goods receipts values floes from Purchase order as there will no invoice of vendor.
At gate security will just enter PO number and qty. system internally will generate
    Invent
      to GRIR
    based on po value
later when final invoice is received from vendor in Finance. Finance wil carry out MIRO and enter Gr number or PO number and MIgo enter will appear. At that point difference in value between PO and final invoice will appear.
    Hope it is clear

  • What is the difference between credit memo in invoice year and in next year

    Hi!
I'm new here.I'm study SAP ERP.I don't know what is the difference between credit memo in invoice year and credit memo in next year (asset accounting). Can you show and give me an example, please!
    Thanks and best regards!
Edited by: dinhtuan on Jun 28, 2010 3:10 PM

    Hi,
Maybe have a look at the SAP Help for further information (http://help.sap.com) : e.g. 'Posting Credit Memos Integrated with Vendor'  or 'Posting a Credit Memo Offset Against a Clearing Account'
Transaction type 105 for credit memo on current acquisition made in the current year, posting key 75. Or transaction type 160 for credit memo on acquisitions from prior years. posting key 75.
Note: determine if the asset was acquired in the current fiscal year or in a closed fiscal year (Display asset values).
If the asset was acquired in a fiscal year that is now closed, correct the past depreciation using a write-up (in that case check out and refer to Posting Write-Ups).
    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Brigitte
