Hello Amrita,
Following are the differences and points how AET is different from EEWB:
AET is a UI Framework tool that is used by application to enhance their application DB and BOL structure
AET only creates field in CRM system. It does not create any field in remote system and does not do any synchronization.
AET lets you define dropdown list boxes for custom fields
AET allows you to translate field labels and entries in dropdown list boxes.

Hope this helps.
Thanks

  • What is the main difference between eewb and aet tool ?

    Dear all,
What is the main difference between eewb and aet? Both ways we can create fields and coming to aet is in crm 7.0 and eewb is in 6.0.when we are creating fields through eewb we should have technical knowledge but aet tool is a simple tool as a function people also can easily add the fields. I want to know is there any main difference between both these tools.
    Regards,
    Jemmi.

EEWB works from SAP GUI whereas AET works from WEB UI. AET is developed on top of the EEWB. Most the Objects are supported barring a few through AET. It's a very usefull tool for SAP CRM.
Since in CRM SAP GUI will be phased out soon, AET will be prominent. One will see lot more features in upcoming relase in AET tool.

  • Difference between customizing and configuration?

Is there any Difference between customizing and configuration?

    Hi Rajesh,
What is Client? What is the difference between Customization and Configuration?
The difference between cutomizing and configuration is:
    - CONFIGURATION: we will configure the system to meet the needs of your business by using the existing data.
    - CUSTOMIZING: we will customise or adapt the system to your business requirements, which is the process of mapping SAP to your business process.
    - CLIENT: A client is a unique one in organizational structure, can have one or more company codes. Each company code is its own legal entity in finance.
    Configuration  vs. Customization
When considering enterprise software of any type, it is important to understand the difference between configuration and customization. The crux of the difference is complexity. Configuration uses the inherent flexibility of the enterprise software to add fields, change field names, modify drop-down lists, or add buttons. Configurations are made using powerful built-in tool sets. Customization involves code changes to create functionality that is not available through configuration. Customization can be costly and can complicate future upgrades to the software because the code changes may not easily migrate to the new version.Wherever possible, governments should avoid customization by using configuration to meet their goals.Governments also should understand their vendor's particular terminology with regard to this issue since words like "modifications" or "extensions" often mean different things to different vendors.

  • Difference between 'setup' and 'configuration' in Oracle Apps

    Hi,
    Thank in advance.
I want to know Difference between 'setup' and 'configuration'(Oracle Apps ). Could you provide the details with an example, please?
    Regards,
    Raghavendra Rao

    Business Requirement:-
    ===============
A company may want to allow all of its employees to make purchases up to $10 without having such purchases approved. Another company may have a business rule that each employee’s approval limit depends on his or her position within the organization.
    Question:-
    =======
How to reach the above requirement?
Is it thorugh configuration or setup?
It must be through configuration and not set up.
Set up is something like one time.. Configuration can be changed depends on your business needs.
Like if your company wants to increases the limit from 10 to 100$, then change in configuration is needed.
Hope you got the answer.. if you want more explanation, please be specific....

  • Difference between customisation and configuration

    hi solve the problem

    Hi,
Configuration - Deals with setting up the SAP system to meet the customer requirements.  Configuration generally meets the requirements based on the existing set up available in the system
Customization: It also referes to tuning the SAP system to meet the requirements.  But customization may also involve, custom developed objects, user defined reports etc.
    Example:
    Configuration: Configuring Automatic Payment Setup
Customizing: Having the company logo available on the reports (This requires bit of changing the code)

  • Difference between Variant Configuration and iPPE

    Dear All,
Can anybody tell me the difference between the Variant Configuration and iPPE(Integrated Process and Product Engineering).
    Thanks,
    Rajesh.

    Hai Rajesh
The SAP standard system have the following user profiles:
    S_ASTACT (Process Structure)
Part of the S_PPEALL profile; calls up a process structure as an application tree in the detail area of the iPPE Workbench Professional.
    S_ASTCMP (Product Structure)
Part of the S_PPEALL profile; calls up a product structure as an application tree in the detail area of the iPPE Workbench Professional.
while creating the user profile - settings for relationship , model definition . environment , reports.
u can try using the Process and Product profile in IDES as I am exploring on iPPE.
is this iPPE scenario going to use in SAP PS or in cProjects.
    ENJOY SAP PS.

  • Difference between financial Reportis & Web analysis

    Hi
    1. What is the difference between Hyperion Fiancial Reporting tool & Web Analysis?
    2. On what basis are tools selected for developoing reports?
    Thnx

Key differences are that FR provides more robust printing features (including auotmation of books, etc) where as WA is more for online analysis and can give you that nice dashboard look and fell via the web. WA also provides the ability to drill down analysis using the SQL Spreadsheet to relational databases. FR does not have this feature. FR can provide more support when it comes to planning and HFM as it relates to supporting detail and textual inputs. These are just some of the key differentiators of the two products that most customers key in on. They both have been known to coexist dependending on what users want the most. Hope this is a good starting point for your research.
