Difference between Export as Quicktime and Export as Quicktime Conversion
If the desired end result is a Quicktime file, compressed with the default h.264 "for broadband" preset, should there be any difference between:
1) exporting a sequence with "Export as Quicktime", then opening up that file in Quicktime Pro and compressing it with the preset.
or
2) exporting the sequence with "Export as Quicktime conversion" with the preset.
I had expected these to be equivalent, but I've found that method #2 gives me dramatically sharper text in titles. Can anyone explain why? I'm using FCE 4.
Well I reckon it's because you are crunching numbers twice, in #2 it's once.
Despite digital transfers being said to Lossless, I call it Lessloss.

Difference between Export QT and Export Using QT Conversion?
I am exporting video from FCE4 into iDVD, and can't understand the difference between Export QuickTime Movie and Export Using QuickTime Conversion.
The first is much faster, but the video seems to suffer in quality. Am I missing something?
Thanks!"Export Using QuickTime Conversion" gives you many more options
(and many more ways of making mistakes); and it always recompresses.
Using "Export QuickTime Movie" gives you the option to uncheck
the "Recompress" box, which should produce a better result,
if you're not changing codecs. -
Difference between Export and Adobe PDF presets..?
Hi,
It is possible to export a PDF from InDesign (CS3) using both the Export menu and the Adobe PDF Presets menu (both are sub-menus under File)
Technically they seem to do exactly the same thing, both allow you to use predefined presets to export your PDF.
What I am wondering is, are there any differences between the two? And if so, what are they?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!PDF Presets are what they are Presets. You may get a joboptions file from someone to use and use the PDF Presets to load the joboptions (pdf options) file into the Presets.
Then they become available in the Export Options.
Alternatively you can go into the PDF Presets and then choose to Save one of your presets to file, then email that or give the file to someone else to load onto their computer in their version of InDesign.
This way you can both have the same PDF export options.
But the presets are just a way to create, save, load and edit profiles that are available when you go to Export to PDF. -
Difference between "Export" and "Export form Fact Table" package
Hi experts!
Could you tell me what is the difference between "Export" and "Export form Fact Table" package?
Tkanks
GabrielHi,
Basic difference between Export and Export from Fact Table is
In standard package "Export" : We can perform this function when we are online and we have adequate amount of data to be exported. We can run this package eg: weekly or monthly. Here we use u201CExport Packageu201D to pull the data
And in the administrative package "Export from Fact Table" Mostly it is used to do the backend data loading basically bulk data , also any formula logic has to be implemented on the data in that case we use the administrative package.
Hope this helps. -
Differences between Remote Client copy and Client export and Import
Dear All, I am new to SAP. Please let me know the Differences between Remote Client copy and Client export and Import. Any response is greatly appreciated. Thanks a Million
Hello Mallikarjuna,
Follow the below note,
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/552711
which describes the answer to question - Which is better or faster, a client transport or a remote copy?
Basically client transport would be preferred if the network connection between the source and target system is slow.

What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespac
The IMPDP command create so manay errors. But the EXAMPLE tablespace is transported to the target database successfully. It seems that the transported tablespace is no difference with the source tablespace.
Why create so many errors?
How to avoid these errors?
What are differences between the target tablespace and the source tablespace?
Is this datapump action really successfull?

Job "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_TABLESPACE_01" completed with 63 error(s) at 18:09:14Short of trying to then reverse-engineer the objects that are in the dump file (I believe Data Pump export files contain some XML representations of DDL in addition to various binary bits, making it potentially possible to try to scan the dump file for the object definitions), I would tend to assume that the export didn't include those type definitions.
Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?

Difference between ECC 6.0 and earlier versions
Hi,
one of the difference between ECC 6.0 and earlier versions is that instead 'WS_UPLOAD' and 'WS_DOWNLOAD' in ECC we should use 'GUI_UPLOAD' and 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' respectively.
(of course SPDD and SPRO tcodes is known by everone i suppose)
Similarly can u all put down some differences here, atleast one entry by each, I think we can make a good docu. I have searched the net for the differences but could not get much, so by each of us contributing one each, it would become good docu..for all of us.
Thanx in advanceUnicode Errors Encountered and their Solutions
E1. In u201CTEXT MODEu201D the u201CENCODINGu201D addition must be specified.

IN CHARACTER MODE.
E3. u201CUSR02-UFLAGu201D must be a byte-type field (Typ X or XSTRING )
Error:
IF USR02-UFLAG O YULOCK.
Solution: Since the data type of USR02-UFLAG is type INT and is compared with data type

( In the above command the two field are to be separated with a horizontal Tab. The earlier way of assigning the tab value u201809u2019 will not work in Unicode environment.
Solution:
Define a class just after the Table defination.
CLASS cl_abap_char_utilities DEFINITION LOAD.
Define variable Tab as shown below :

Difference between Business Objects Explorer and Polestar
Hi all,
can anyone help me out with the main differences between Business Objects Explorer and Polestar.
thanks & regards
immanuel.Explorer is the new product name for Polestar. There have been a few versions of Explorer released since it was called Polestar, but you can find the latest 'whats new' doc here which lists the latest additions:
http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexplXI32/en/exp32_whats-new_en.pdf
For one, Explorer now comes in two editions... Standard and Accelerated. The Explorer Standard edition allows reporting off of Universes, just as the original Polestar product did. Explorer Accelerated allows reporting off of SAP BWA indexes as well as Business Objects universes. Both versions now allow uploading of excel files to report off of. You can export an Information Space to a Webi doc or Excel file. Users can now save favorite links to an Information Space. Sorting has been improved as well as graphing functions and overall display. You'll have to install the latest build of Explorer - "Explorer 3.2 SP1" and compare. I don't know of a document or matrix that compares Polestar to Explorer. The two are basically the same product with a number of enhancements added to the Explorer line. -
What is the difference between Open hub destination and Info spokes
what is the difference between Open hub destination and Info spokes?
Please seacrh the forum before posting a thread
Edited by: Pravender on Aug 16, 2010 11:17 AMHi,
When a user initiates open hub extraction by creating an InfoSpoke, behind-the-scenes activity involves OO ABAP which is calling classes to determine each of the different components involved in making the open hub extraction possible. In particular, this enhancement will focus on 2 standard classes: one used to determine file destination name and path and the other to control the user interface of the InfoSpoke which will ultimately allow the user to enter his/her own filename and path.
The open hub service enables us to distribute data from an SAP BW system into external data marts, analytical applications, and other applications. With this, we can ensure controlled distribution using several systems.
The central object for the export of data is the InfoSpoke. Using this, we can define the object from which the data comes and into which target it is transferred.

Difference between address-family ipv6 and address-family ipv6 labeled unicast
Hello Experts,
Can someone explain me the difference between address-family ipv6 and address-family ipv6 labeled unicast. Per my understanding, i think both of them are used to send labelled IPv6 prefix advertisements through BGP..If so, are the following configs same?
address-family ipv6
neighbor 192.168.0.1 activate
neighbor 192.168.0.1 send-label
router bgp 10
neighbor 192.168.0.1
address-family ipv6 labelled unicast
Please let me know if my understanding is correct
Thanks
MukundhThanks for the reply Nagendra...
I have another related query regarding this. We have BGP neighborship flapping between 2 routers ...One is Cisco 7204 and another is Juniper M120 I think.... The Juniper logs show that BGP is flapped due to family inet6 not configured on the Juniper end and Juniper is receiving BGP advertisements with native IPv6 as next hop from Cisco when it shouldn't be receiving that.. The following are commands on Cisco and Juniper...

By the cisco command above, shouldn't cisco be sending only labelled ipv6 prefixes or am I wrong in this. And if Cisco sends both unlabelled and labelled prefixes, is there a way to make it send only ipv6 prefixes?
Thanks

The difference between VGA, DVI-D and ADC?
Hi.
The difference between VGA, DVI-D and ADC and which should be used with a T244 widescreen monitor into a Quicksilver G4 with a GeForce2 MX nVIDIA (0x10de) card. What's a good upgrade card if the above is not good enough?

The difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and AIR-ANT5135DB-R
Hi,
Anyone know what is the difference between AIR-ANT5135D-R and AIR-ANT5135DB-R ?
From the dynamic configuration tools for 1252 and 1242, AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside one of the antenna option.
However, I can't find it in the "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference Guide"
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7183/ps469/product_data_sheet09186a008008883b.html
Inside the document there is only AIR-ANT5135D-R.
likewise for the 2.4 GHz, AIR-ANT2422DB-R is inside the dynamic configuration tools and not inside "Cisco Aironet Antennas and Accessories Reference Guide"
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
RichardFound the difference, AIR-ANT5135DB-R and AIR-ANT2422DB-R are non-articulating antennas.
Thanks!

The difference between Telepresence Content Server and MSE 3500
Good day! Could someone explain me what's the difference between Telepresence Content Server and MSE 3500? Why do I need to obtain two these devices for sorting out my tasks? I want to understand gist of the first and the second devices.
In addition to what Jonathan posted above, here is a Capture Transform Share Solution Guide that goes over a little bit of what the TCS and MXE are and some possible deployment scenarios.
In short, TCS is used to record video conferences or lectures that can be streamed on demand or live using various streaming or distribution methods. One such distribution method is using the MXE 3500 to ingest the recordings from TCS and convert them to different media types and add in-video content such as logos etc. However, from the MXE, you can't send the video back to the TCS for viewing, you'd need to send that off to another viewing portal such as Show and Share. -
What is difference between Service map iview and Workset Map iview
Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me the difference between service map iView and Workset Map iView.
When I am creating these iViews, its seams both are same. I canu2019t find difference still, can anyone help me out of this
Thanks in Advance
JanardhanHi,
Service Map Iview:The Service Map iView is an ERP-specific variant of the portal Workset Map iView. It serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the services of SAP service modules such as the Manager Self Service (MSS) module, or the Employee Self Service (ESS) module.
Workset Map iview:A Workset Map is the equivalent of a site map, providing users with explicit information on the functionality that is available in a given workset. It is based on an iView, and serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the contents of a workset.
if you want to more info pls go thr the below thread

What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config - when delpoy ?
What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config? When I create navigation between pages with ADF task flow then the navigation don't work when I deploy my application to Weblogic 10.3. When I use default server then navigation works fine. With Faces_config in both situations all works ok - on Stanalone server and default.
Where is the problem?
Best regards!Shay, I don't use both faces-config and adf task flow! When I failed with task flow I tried faces-config.
I have active on my weblogic - adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.0.0). This is the right ADF? If yes then where is the problem?
Best regards! -
What's the difference between a web site and a web application?
I'm stumped trying to come up to a difference between a web site and a web application for myself. As I see it, a web site points to a specific page and a web application is more of some sort of 'portal' to content and information.
But where I'm stuck is that a web application is still viewed through a browser (is it not?) and a web site can still view content dynamically, making the line between web site and application prety gray.
For instance, does a web site using ASP.NET or AJAX (I assume ASP.NET is AJAX's proprietary sibling, if not, ignore ASP.NET AND concentrate on the AJAX), becomes a web application because it can retrieve data dynamically and asynchronously or would a website
using PHP and a CMS be more of a web application because it forms the pages on request, based on the request of the client and its content in its databse?
Or maybe I'm totally wrong here - what differenciates between a web application and a website?

This is totally personal and subjective, but I'd say that a website is defined by its content, while a webapplication is
defined by its interaction with the user. That is, a website can plausibly consist of a static content repository that's dealt out to all visitors, while a web application depends on interaction and requires programmatic user input and data processing.
For example, a news site would be a "website", but a spreadsheet or a collaborative calendar would be web "applications". The news site shows essentially the same information to all visitors, while the calendar processes individual data.
Practically, most websites with quickly changing content will also rely on a sophisticated programmatic (and/or database) backend, but at least in principle they're only defined by their output. The web application on the other hand is essentially a program that
runs remotely, and it depends fundamentally on a processing and a data storage backend.

There is no real "difference". Web site is a more anachronistic term that exists from the early days of
the internet where the notion of a dynamic application that can respond to user input was much more limited and much less common. Commercial websites started out largely as interactive brochures (with the notable exception of hotel/airline reservation sites).
Over time their functionality (and the supporting technologies) became more and more responsive and the line between an application that you install on your computer and one that exists in the cloud became more and more blurred.
If you're just looking to express yourself clearly when speaking about what you're building, I would continue to describe something that is an interactive brochure or business card as a "web site" and something that actually *does something that feels
more like an application as a web app.
The most basic distinction would be if a website has a supporting database that stores user data and modifies what the user sees based on some user specified criteria, then it's probably an app of some sort (although I would be reluctant to describe Amazon.com
as a web app, even though it has a lot of very user-specific functionality). If, on the other hand, it is mostly static .html files that link to one another, I would call that a web site.
Most often, these days, a web app will have a large portion of its functionality written in something that runs on the client (doing much of the processing in either javascript or actionscript, depending on how its implemented) and reaches back through some
http process to the server for supporting data. The user doesn't move from page to page as much and experiences whatever they're going to experience on a single "page" that creates the app experience for them....can i make as many iweb websites as i want? ...and as many blogs as i want? ...i have never made one before....
....although, i do have my own small business and i do have a website that i paid a guy to make and also host....(which is a waste of $$$$ in my opinion as i think i can do a better job making one myself through iweb) ....
...anyways, i know it is splitting hairs but what exactly is the diff b/w a blog and a website ....i am under the impression that a blog is just a personal newsletter sort of thing,...?
