Difference between graphics

Hey, can someone tell me the difference between AMD Radeon HD 6480G discrete-class graphics and ATI Radeon™ HD 6480G?  And how much of a difference is 400 Mhz in a procressor if the one with 400 mHz more is i3 while the lower one with turbo ability to increase to 2500 is AMD? Thank you

In plain english, real world examples, what are the real differences between these options?
What will a 750 with 1GB do for me that a 650 with 512MB won't?
What's the Iris Pro equivalent to?
I don't do any heavy gaming, video editing or graphic design; I'll mostly be using it for general web surfing, watcihng movies (both streaming and downloaded), and light/medium gaming (the Portal series via Steam, for example).  So I know I don't need the biggest, most powerful GPU out there.  I just want to better understand my options.
You won't see any difference in performance with the way you will be using your computer so purchase the machine you want.

  • Quick question: what is the difference between graphic and movie clips?

What is the difference between the two symbols: graphic and movie clips? They both contain frames..?

    movie clips can have
instance names : so they can be controlled via actionscript
filters applied : drop shadow, glow, blur, color adjust etc
blend modes applied : difference, screen, lighten, darken, etc.
    3d transformations
    graphics:
    none of the above
the only real practical reason to use a graphic is the reason jdehaan stated. a graphics internal animation can be scrubbed via the main timeline. graphics will only advance when the main timeline advances. when the main timeline stops.. graphics stops.
movieclips on the otherhand are said to run independent of the main timeline. so you can have a MAIN timeline with one frame only and the movieclip's interior animation will run constantly.
also via the properties panel you can tell a graphic to stay stuck on a certain frame or loop a set number of times.
always use movieclips unless you have a reason not too. as kglad said it will save you and others a lot of hurt in the future.

  • Difference between graphics cards?

I'm looking to buy a new iMac (21.5"), and I'm just trying to uderstand the difference between my options for a graphics processor.
The current models (late 2013) offer either the Intel Iris Pro or the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1GB memory.
The refurbished late 2012 models offer the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 512MB memory.

  • What's the difference between graphics processor with 256MB and 512MB

I'm doubting between buying the more expensive or the cheaper Macbook Pro model.
Does someone knows the limitations I will have with the 256MB model? It is worthy to pay u$500 for the 512MB model?
Is there any other big difference (besides the RAM size) between the 2 models that could make me decide for one or the other?
thanks a lot for your help!

Andresb... the $500 gets you more than just 256MB texture memory. You'll also get a slightly faster CPU with more cache, double the installed memory, and an 80gb larger hard drive.
But sticking to your question, what does the extra video memory do? It's used by graphics intensive applications for rendering and textures, etc. I don't know of any programs that will not run if you have less than 512MB, they just won't run quite as fast.
While you can add more memory or replace the hard drive with a bigger one at a later date, you can not increase the CPU speed, add more CPU cache, or upgrade the video memory on the machine. For a lot of people, that won't be a big deal - the question really is how much of a power user do you really think you are?
    Good luck with your decision!

  • What is the difference between the Intel HD Graphics 5000 and the Intel Iris Pro Graphics in  the current iMacs

What is the difference between the Intel HD Graphics 5000 and the Intel Iris Pro Graphics in  the current iMacs?

I am assuming you are talking about PPC Macs? Those haven't been manufactured or sold in years (since early 2006 I believe) when Apple started using Intel processors. There are still some apps which run on PPC code only which makes them incompatible with the last three Mac operating systems.
There are different Applecare products depending on which Mac product you buy, although the coverage is about the same (except for iOS devices).

  • Difference between animated graphics and movie clips

What is the difference between the way they behave? When
    would you use
    one over the other?
    Thanks in advance.

One of the biggest differences (for me) is that instances of
MovieClips can have names, but Graphics don't. So that means if you
are going to use code to change the visibility or move it around
you will need to use a MovieClip.
The next difference is that a MovieClip's timeline plays
independently of the timeline it is on, but a graphics timeline
does not. To see this make yourself a nice little MovieClip (or
graphic) animation. Something easy like a ball moving across the
stage or so. Put that animation on the main timeline and make sure
the main timeline has only one frame. When you try it with the
animation as a MovieClip it will play, even though there is only
one frame on the timeline. That is because the movieclip's timeline
plays independent of the timeline it is on.
Change the clip to a graphic (you can do this with the drop
down panel or you can make a whole nother clip, your choice). When
you try the same experiment you will see that the graphic doesn't
play. That is because it is not independent of the main timeline.
If you extend the main timeline a few frames (keep it shorter than
the length of your animation) you will see that as a graphic the
animation will start to play and then jump back to the start. But a
    movieclip will just keep playing.
So any time want something to play regardless of the timeline
it is on you will need a MovieClip. Anytime you want something to
play in sync with the timeline it is on you will want to use a
    graphic.
So for frame/hand drawn animation you will most likey want to
use graphics. That way you can keep different parts of the
    animation in sync.

Is there a big difference between Intel Iris Pro graphics and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, is it worth paying an extra $200?

Software support of graphics card is key.   If no graphics card is mentioned in software specs, then it can be ignored.  Mostly games and high end image and video graphics software are affected.

I have HP Pavilion G6 2005ax with AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) graphics. But gaming performance is not awesome. It's not capable to run latest PC game at highest settings.
My question is that Is there any difference between AMD 7640g + 7670m (1.5 GB) and AMD 7640g + 7670m (2.5 GB) graphics cards performance...?
One graphics card hase 7670m 1GB and second one has 7670m 2GB graphics RAM.
So which one perform better and why....?
Should I upgrade AMD 7670m 1GB to AMD 7670m 2GB to play latest pc games at highest settings.....?

    Hi,
Same GPU but more RAM will perform better. You have to make decision before hand, upgrading it is a pain.

  • Difference between new graphic cards?

can anyone tell me if there is a big difference between the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 256MB graphics card?
I am about to get an imac for my wife. It will be our home computer but she will be using it for World of Warcraft as well. I play on a new macbook and I was just wondering if there is a huge difference in each card.
    Thanks for any help

Yes. There is a significant difference between those two options. THe NVIDIA 9400M has good performance for the low-end option, but it does not have dedicated VRAM. It uses 256mb of system RAM for that purpose, often called integrated or shared memory. The ATI Radeon HD 4670 has 256mb of dedicated VRAM. That's not the only difference, but for graphically intensives uses, such as WoW and other similar games, the ATI Radeon HD 4670 would provide better performance.
However, a MacBook (not "Pro") also uses the NVIDIA 9400M. Therefore, if performance is acceptable for doing the same things the iMac will do, then the iMac with NVIDIA 9400M should be fine as well, since it is the same graphics processor paired with a faster CPU.

Which models? UMA refers to shared memory, and is not the actual chipset. So this is simply a case where the video card isn't listed (while in the 3150 model, it is).

  • What is difference between adjusting columns these two ways?

    Hi everyone,
In my last post I learned that I could create a new Master Page that is designed as a 1-column format and apply it to the body pages I want to have as 1-column. (I have a doc that has 2-column formatted L and R master pages; only 1 page at the very end, the Study Guide, needs to be 1-column formatted).
I recently learned from the Adobe lesson book that if I am in the body page that I want to change from a 2-col to a 1-column format, I can go Graphics>Object Properties and this brings up the Customize Text Frame window where I can change the number of columns to 1 and click set. I found this a lot easier than creating a new Master Page.
What is the difference between applying a one-column design to one page using each of these methods, applying a 1-column master page versus just changing the number of columns as described above? Is one wrong or better than the other?
    Thank you for your help!!

There are 3 basic* ways of obtaining a custom layout for specific pages:
    hack the local column layout
apply a new master Page as a local override:
Format > Page Layout > Master Page Usage > Use Master Page
map the new MP in semi-automatically:
Format > Page Layout > Apply Master Pages (AMP)
1 & 2 are not stable. Unless it's a disconnected flow, adding or deleting text prior to that page can cause your special-needs text to re-flow onto a page with normal Left/Right layout (and unexpected text flowing onto your special layout).
1 is also at risk from an update to the Left/Right MPs themselves.
3 requires that some paragraph on the special-needs page have a unique format name (say, "Heading2_Single"). After you perform your first AMP, an UnstructMasterPageMaps table is created on Reference Page MasterPageMaps. Add the special para name, and the special MP name to it. Thereafter, AMP will make sure that text gets the page it needs.
You can also perform an AMP during Update Book.
It is not reliable in FM 7.x. I don't know about later versions.
I always use technique #3, and perform a separate AMP as part of the pre-print workflow.
    * You can also fake the layout in some cases, on the normal page layout, by putting the special needs flow in a table or text frame within an anchored Frame. Anchor to an Across-All-Columns format as needed. It wouldn't be Framemaker if there weren't at least 5 ways of getting the same result .

  • What is difference between bex analyser and bex browser

what is difference between bex analyser and bex browser . please explain what are use of both and what we do in both.

    hi
    Bex Browser
The Business Explorer Browser (BEx Browser) makes it possible for you to access all document types of the Business Information Warehouse that are assigned to your role or that you have stored in your favorites. You can select and open documents assigned to you in the BEx Browser or store and manage new documents in the BEx Browser.
Document types that you can work with in the BEx Browser are:
    · BW workbooks
    · Documents that are stored in the Business Document Service (BDS)
    · Links (references to file system, shortcuts)
    · Links to internet sites (URLs)
    · SAP transaction calls.
    · Web applications and Web templates
    · Crystal Reports
    Bex Analyser
The Business Explorer Analyzer (BEx Analyzer) is the analysis and reporting tool of the Business Explorer that is embedded in Microsoft Excel.
    Features
You can call up the BEx Query Designer in the BEx Analyzer, in order to define queries. Subsequently, you can analyze the selected InfoProvider data by navigation to the query created in the Query Designer and create different query views of the data. You can add the different query views for a query or for different queries to a work book and save them there. You can save the workbook in your favorites or in your role on the BW Server. You can also save the workbook locally on your computer.
Beyond that, you can precalculate the workbook and distribute it by e-mail to recipeients or you can export it to the Enterprise Portal and make it accessible to other employees in the company.
You can start queries in a standard view (with a Standard Web Template set up in Customizing) in the Web browser and forward the URL or continue to navigate on the Web. Similarly, you can export the Web query to MS Excel 2000.
Overview of the Functional Area of the BEx Analyzer:
    ·        BEx toolbar
You access the functions of the BEx Analyzer from the BEx toolbar, which takes you to the BEx Open dialog box where you can open existing queries, or to the BEx Query Designer where you can create new queries or change existing queries.
    ·        Evaluating Query Data
The BEx Analyzer offers convenient functions for evaluating and presenting InfoProvider data interactively. In the BEx Analyzer, you can add queries to workbooks, navigate within them and refresh the data. You can also process the queries further in Microsoft Excel or display them in the Web browser in a default view.
Navigation of a query allows you, for example, to filter characteristics on a single value, drilldown on all values for a characteristic, regroup characteristics and key figures in the rows and columns of the results area, or hide key figures. Navigation results in different views of the InfoProvider data. In addition, a range of further functions is available which allow you to edit a query interactively (for example, sorting, cumulated output, among others). In addition, you can use the editing functions in Microsoft Excel in order to set up individual format templates, to print results areas, or to create graphics.
    ·        Queries in Workbooks
Queries are inserted into workbooks so you can display them. When you insert a query, a link is made between the cell areas of the worksheet and the data of the InfoProvider upon which the query is based. A link therefore exists between the Business Explorer and the Business Information Warehouse Server (BW Server).
When inserting a query into the workbook, a VBA routine is automatically generated in the workbook. You can also connect the Business Explorer with your own VBA programs (Visual Basic for Applications).
You can create workbook templates, into which you can insert your queries. Workbook templates can contain pre-determined items for the area of the query, formatting settings, logos, VBA macros, and so on.
    ·        Precalculating workbooks
You can precalculate and distribute workbooks with the BEx Broadcaster, which is a Web application you get to form the BEx toolbar. The system generates MS Excel workbooks with historical data. You determine the time for precalculation yourself: You can have workbooks precalculated at a predefined time or they can be precalculated whenever data in the underlying InfoProvider changes. You can have the precalculated workbooks sent by e-mail or you can export them into the Enterprise Portal, where you can make them available to employees within your company.
    Activities
To start the BEx Analyzer, choose Start ® Programs ® SAP Front-end Business Information Warehouse ® SAP Business Explorer Analyzer.
You can also access the BEx Analyzer via SAP Easy Access ® SAP Business Information Warehouse ® SAP Menu ® Business Explorer ® Analyzer or in the Business Explorer Browser using the Business Explorer Analyzer symbol in the menu bar.
Hope this will solve your issu

  • What is difference between report programming and dialog programming?

    hi,
what is difference between report programming and dialog programming? plz provide some example code
    bye

    ABAP programming
Basically reports are used to read database and represent the results in lists.
Reports are collections of processing blocks that the system calls depending on events.
We can use reports to evaluate data from database tables.
Reports are stand alone programs and controlled by events.
A report itself never creates events
    steps in report:
    Processing the selection screen
    Reading the database
Evaluating the data and creating lists
    Outputting a list.
1st u write simple logics, after that u can enhance the code as step by step.

    Dialog Programming
    Structure of a Dialog Program
A dialog program consists of the following basic components:
    Screens (dynpros)
Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by dynpros. A dynpro (DYnamic PROgram) consists of a screen and its flow logic and controls exactly one dialog step. The flow logic determines which processing takes place before displaying the screen (PBO-Process Before Output) and after receiving the entries the user made on the screen (PAI-Process After Input).
The screen layout fixed in the Screen Painter determines the positions of input/output fields, text fields, and graphical elements such as radio buttons and checkboxes. In addition, the Menu Painter allows to store menus, icons, pushbuttons, and function keys in one or more GUI statuses. Dynpros and GUI statuses refer to the ABAP/4 program that control the sequence of the dynpros and GUI statuses at runtime.
    ABAP/4 module pool
Each dynpro refers to exactly one ABAP/4 dialog program. Such a dialog program is also called a module pool, since it consists of interactive modules. The flow logic of a dynpro contains calls of modules from the corresponding module pool. Interactive modules called at the PBO event are used to prepare the screen template in accordance to the context, for example by setting field contents or by suppressing fields from the display that are not needed. Interactive modules called at the PAI event are used to check the user input and to trigger appropriate dialog steps, such as the update task.
All dynpros to be called from within one transaction refer to a common module pool. The dynpros of a module pool are numbered. By default, the system stores for each dynpro the dynpro to be displayed next. This dynpro sequence or chain can be linear as well as cyclic. From within a dynpro chain, you can even call another dynpro chain and, after processing it, return to the original chain.
