  • Test HTTP and SOAP adapters

    Hi
I am working on SAP XI 7.1. I don't use SOAP and HTTP Adapters in this project. Is it possible for me to try some scenarios using both these adapters in the dev and later on remove it?
How can I create a scenario using these two adapters? How do I get the webservices for that?
    Regards

    Abhishek,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I shall search but I have some doubts.
I can't download any software on my m/c without approval from my PL. So does this require downloading some tools to my machine to test this scenario. Can these be done the way we do a File adapter, without any external application on my desktop. The work environment doesn't exactly allow me to download applications. That's a big hurdle

  • What is the difference between https: and http: at the beginning of the web address? Does this effect security when looking onto bank accounts?

New to foxfire, and not very computer savvy. When enter search for bank account noticed the the web address came up with a http: rather than an https: as it normally does when I search from safari on MAC, or even at my PC at work. Not sure what the difference is but if it is a security thing than foxfire is no good for my use.

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.<br />
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.<br />

  • Difference between socket and http in opera mini

    Sir,
can any one say in simple language, what is the difference between socket and http connection. Is http connection possible in opera mini? Which is best suited for economy in use and fee
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First thing to do is to make your phone open the web pages. I don't think the phone has low speeds.
    First
ask your customer care for correct access point.
    1.
Copy the access point name you received from custome care to-
    Settings-Connectivity-Packet data-Packet data setting,
    edit active access point.
Give any name to active access point and activate it.
Now goto settings- configurations - personal config.- add new- web, give any name to web and press back twice.
Now again add new access point in personal configurations, give any account name to this access point.
Copy the access point name which you got from ccare to bearer settings- packet data access pt.
Press back three times and activate this access point.
Now in default config. Settings activate personal config.
Now all apps which need internet connection like
    opera mini should work fine.
    2.
Saved pages of Opera mini 4.x won't open with opera mini 7.x version.
Saved pages are stored with an extension .obml.
Connect memory card to your pc using a card reader,
you can find them by enabling hidden folders and searching .obml.
Now right click on any obml file of search results and click open file location or move them to any folder you like and
    note down the files location.
Now goto saved pages of your opera mini, manage, set folder. Set the folder location to where .obml files are stored
Now your old saved pages can be opened.
    Hope this helps.

  • Difference Between Transport and message protocols in XI

    Hi,
Can u please explain with some example , Difference Between Transport and message protocols in XI.
    thanks
    dhanush

    Hi dhanush,
This two can have different attributes which were assigned in the adapter metadata. Please see this help for some info on this:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/79/e462405c910272e10000000a155106/content.htm
Go to SAP BASIS 6.40 or 7.00 software compoenent and open namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. Go to Adapter objects and open Adapter metadata. Then open any adapter. Here you can see all the properties of your adapter which support.
Transport protocol gives information about outside of message details, kind of system, security details.
A transport protocol is a network protocol that has the capability of transferring some payload from one node to another, thus providing some level of transparency from the underlying network.
Transport protocols are used as a mechanism to move payloads around a network. Typically, a payload will have a transport binding associated with it. For example, SOAP (acting as a payload) has a predetermined binding for HTTP (a transport protocol).
Some common transport protocols include: HTTP, HTTP-R, SMTP and BEEP.
Message protocol gives you an idea of message type XI payload

  • Difference between IntegrationServer and Integration Engine

    Hi,
Could you please provide me difference between IntegrationServer and Integration Engine.
functionality of both and what are the runtime environments exits in XI Server.
Could you please show me digaram how message flow from
XI server i.e., through which engines.. what is the input and output of each engine.
    Thanks,
    RamuV

    Hello Ramu,
    Go through this link..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e1/0c733cb7d61952e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
    Use
Two SAP XI 3.0 Integration Servers are used to exchange messages between the system landscapes of two business partners.
    Description
An SAP XI  Integration Server of a business partner is connected to the SAP XI  Integration Server of another business partner. Both use SAP XI  message protocol to send or receive messages.
When an SAP XI  Integration Server receives a message from another Integration Server it understands the message format and so processes the message.
    Example
A business partner that uses SAP XI  wants to send a message to another business partner who also uses SAP XI .
    ·        The message is sent between the Integration Servers in SAP XI  message format
    ·        The Integration Server of the second business partner then sends the message to the relevant business system
    Integration Engine
    Purpose
The Integration Engine enables you to process XML messages exchanged between applications in heterogeneous system landscapes. Both applications of SAP components and external applications can communicate with the Integration Engine.
Using adapters, the Integration Engine can also process IDocs (Intermediate Documents) and RFCs (Remote Function Calls). This option is available for applications that have already defined IDocs or RFCs, as well as for applications of SAP components that do not yet have access to the proxy generation functions.
    Integration
The Integration Engine is the runtime environment of the SAP Exchange Infrastructure. The following are examples of other important parts of this infrastructure:
    ·        Proxy Generation
    ·        Integration Repository
    ·        Integration Directory
The integration processes involved can take place between heterogeneous system components within a company, as well as between business partners outside company boundaries.
    Features
The Integration Engine, as a runtime component of SAP Exchange Infrastructure, has the task of receiving, processing, and forwarding XML messages. During message processing, collaboration agreements are evaluated, the receivers are determined, and mapping activities are executed.
The individual processing steps are called pipeline services and are defined in pipelines. It is the task of the Integration Engine to process these pipelines correctly and consistently. To guarantee this, you must configure the Integration Engine accordingly and monitor the message processing. Both event-driven message processing and prioritized message processing are possible.

    regards
    Arora

    Hi Nishant Arora,
Modify: It works in performing two actions.
    They are: Insert + Update.
For Example If a record that is exited in database, so you are modifying that record, it updates that particular record.
Similarly, If the is not existed in the database, you are modifying it, it inserts a new record.
Update: Update means just it updates the status, I mean it only updates the record. It doesn't inserts any new record if that particular record is not present in the database.
These are the cases you need to write these statements.
    Syntaxes: :

  • What is the difference between LH and LX modules?

I would like to know the difference between LX and LH SFP modules. Long Haul ( LH ) denotes longer distances while Long Wavelength ( LX ) denotes less energy which is obviously shorter distance. Why does Cisco use both LX and LH for certain SFP modules?
Do they denote the capability of the module to work both for MM ( which will be Long wavelength ) and SM ( Long Haul ) fiber? Do correct me if i am wrong.
What does it infer if a modules says like "Cisco 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP" ?

What does it infer if a modules says like "Cisco 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP
Generally a module is either made for single mode (More distance) / multimode (short distance). But this module can be used for both Single mode and Multimode.
If used with SM fiber it can go upto 10Km
It used with MM it can go upto 550meters (depend on what kind os MM fiber you have) You need a mode conditioning patch chord too with legacy MM i think OM1 and 2.
Long Haul ( LH ) denotes longer distances while Long Wavelength ( LX ) denotes less energy which is obviously shorter distance. Why does Cisco use both LX and LH for certain SFP modules
Read this link and dont worry about LX/LH (You will ge tthe distance mentiond above depending on the type of fibe ryou are using)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabit_Ethernet
Before it was standardized 1000BASE-LX10 was essentially already in widespread use by many vendors as a proprietary extension called either 1000BASE-LX/LH or 1000BASE-LH

  • Difference between implicit and explicit enhancement points

    Hi Folks,
I had learned many documents to findout the difference between explicit and implicit enhancement point.I got the theoritical knowledge on that but losing on the practical side..
Can anybody help me out with one real time scenario where the explicit enhancement points have been implemented and the step by step procedure to implement it..
Hoping for the positive response from you..
    Regards,
    Rohan.

    Hi Rohan,
In implicit they are available at the beginning of subroutines defined in the standard reports.
Edit-> Enhancement operations->show implicit enhancement options.
This will highlight all the implicit enhancements in the report.
In Explicit enhancement we have two different types of enhancements -
    Enhancement point and Enhancement section.
Enhancement point - SAP has some standard functionality defined for a report , but it may be required that you'll need to add your own code. In this case the code that you'll add will be executed along with the standard code.
Enhancement section - SAP has its standard functionality defines but it may not suit your requirement, in that case you may need to add your code and you'll need that code to be executed only. By this method the existing code is automatically commented and a copy of the same code is available to edit.
After executing the report only your code will be executed and the standard code will be bypassed.
For Practicle implementation, follow this link.
