And how IBM Websphere portal can be implemented in Netweaver Portal?

The reason why I post this is that I've tried to follow the links in the PDF to get the file WebsphereEpSsoLib.zip but I get an error 403, which tells me that the file is not there.

Differences between SEM BCS and SAP BPC

Hello All,
Can you please let me know the differences between SEM BCS and SAP BPC. What I know is SEM BCS is an SAP product for Financial Consolidation (Legal and Management). SAP BPC is the new product taken over from Outlooksoft. It also features the consolidationa and planning functionalities. Can you please suggest which is a better product.

There is nothing like better or worse product.
BCS has some strong features like consolidation monitor, investment consolidation and for most consolidation functions, configuration is very easy. In BPC, you may have to write scripts.
BCS has BW as the backbone where for BPC 5.1 there is none. Howveer, in BPC 7.0, the BPC will rest on BI and things will be much better.

i don't do it this way up to now, but i think it is a good solution:
There is a standard named WSRP (Web Service for Remote Portlets). With this you can publish Portlets from the Websphere Portal to the SAP Portal. I see in the Global Portal Scenario that SAP Portal can consume wsrp portlets, but this is enough for your scenario.

Could you tell me what you found out abut jndi lookupsYeah, I got the local:/ blah-blah to work as well. But to get java:comp/env to work, here's what you do:
1) In WSAD's EJB Deployment Descriptor editor, define the relationship you want
2) In the WebSphere Bindings JNDI name box, make sure that the EbjLocalRef's JNDI name is the same as the bean's JNDI name in the 'Beans' tab of the editor.
3) Look up the locally referenced EJB in your code as java:comp/env/<value of the 'Name:' field in the EJB Deployment Descriptor editor|References section>
Example:
You have an OrderSessionFacade EJB locally referencing an OrderEntityEJB. Assuming you have both beans written, here's how use OrderEntityEJB in the 'java:comp/env' context:
1) Open the EJB Deployment Descriptor editor in WSAD
2) Select the 'References' tab
3) Select OrderSessionFacadeEJB from the list of EJBs
4) Press the 'Add...' button
5) Select EJB local reference from the resulting choices
6) Select the 'Browse...' button adjacent to the 'Link' field and select OrderEntityEJB.
7) After defining the locally referenced EJB, expand in the list of EJBs OrderSessionFacadeEJB
8) Select the node 'EjbLocalRef ejb/OrderEntityEJB.
9) Note the value in the 'Name:' field.

figure the syntax out. I didn't find any help in either the included WSAD help documentation or anywhere online. I stumbled across this from many trials and errors.

To push performance further in those cases when the storage media (typically the hard disk) is busy with other operations, additional capabilities will store these transactions 'temporarily' in a 'Q' for later write, while the user is free to continue his work (these transactions are protected against power failures and so on).

It totally like Business Warehouse, it just run on the CRM System.
Is it right that the there is no difference from SAP BW ans CRM Analytics ?

PI is a middleware like many others. It is well suited for connecting SAP systems with each other and with non-SAP.If your focus is not on SAP systems, other solutions might be a better choice today. SAP XI provides an integrated workflow engine that allows to define adapters to non-XML-protocols and mappings to convert data content from source to target.

BO and SAP BO are both the same....recently the SAP took the BO and it is now the property of SAP....also in the future the BO is used in SAP BI for reporting purposes. But you need licensing for SAP BO.

Difference between OpenSAP free and SAP paid Certifications?

I have taken part in few HANA courses, namely,
"An Introduction to SAP HANA, Dr.Vishal Sikka"
"SAP Business Suite Powered by SAP HANA"
"Introduction to SAP HANA Cloud Platform"
and also registered for "SAP BW Powered by SAP HANA"
My question is, how different are these participation certificates from the other paid fee obtained certificates? In my case, what more SAP HANA cources should I take to get equal to SAP HANA Certification?
If these OpenSAP courses is equivalent to SAP Certifications, then that would be great.

To receive an SAP certification, you should go to the SAP Training and Certification Shop (http://training.sap.com) to find other great offerings from SAP. You can easily find courses that relate to those that you've completed on openSAP.

The major difference between Oracle BC4J with WebSphere Business Components

who could help to explian the difference betweenn IBM WebSphere Business Components(San Francisco) with Oracle BC4J(ADF) ? , the both product to emphasize Component-based developemnt but WebSphere Business Components have been define some enterprise base component that can provide extend and customize. how do you look up on this product strategy for developer ?

I guess one difference is who can use it, for IBM components:
Available for ISVs and Technology Partners only, and requires that the ISVs and Technology Partners have either a SanFrancisco Technology License Agreement, SanFrancisco Version 2 Development License or a SanFrancisco Version 2.1 OEM agreement and an appropriate transaction document executed under the respective base agreement.
BC4J is for use by anybody who uses JDeveloper.
IBM's solution seems to lock you into using Webssphere, with BC4J you can use whichever application server you want.
I guess the problem is to find someone "who could help to explian IBM WebSphere Business Components" - I can't seem to find a good expenation of what it does, but it seems to be a set of functional components that do specific tasks.
This is not what BC4J is about.
IBM's solution forces you to use EJB. BC4J gives you a choice of deployment options.

Hi Experts,
So, IBM is having their own specification for SOA and SAP is also having its own specification for SOA. What is the main difference between IBM's and SAP's specifications and their implementations side. IBM has its own stack for SOA is SAP has its own stack for SOA?
