difference bitween ipod touch 2g and 3 g
2g is one button to volume
3 g is 2 button to volume
is correct or not...
because...my ios is 4.2,1 and impossible to update in itunes...
i wish have ios5
i'm sure to have ipod touch 3 g 8 gig

There are no 3rd gen ipod touch in 8GB at all.

I have heard that the new itouch 5 has different colours which is not the answer you are looking for. The new touch 5 has a flashlight like iphones. Also, there is siri, 5 columns and a new fixed app called passbook i think. It has a loop holder where you can hold your ipod like a necklace. In addition, the ipod 5 is much more thinner, faster, better camera, and the charger is different. It is about $299.
The people who said there are no changes in ipod5, they are totally mistaken.

Just got ipod 3G, BIG difference between Ipod Touch 1G and 3G

#1....the speakers and volume controls make a big difference.
#2....the speed is also a major difference, My TV apps play more smoothly on the 3G than the 1G. The 1G would NOT play TV channels without the picture continuously stopping and starting.
#3....the appearance of the 3G seems like it is thinner, it looks more expensive.
#4.....I also heard that there is a deactivated FM transmitter inside the 3G so when the next update comes, it will include the ability to play fm radio.
I waited for a year and a half for this update and it was worth the wait even without a camera. I will probably buy the ipod nano for the camera.

it'd be nice if the FM transmitter rumour is true, but don't go holding your breath (i think if this week's lack of camera update has taught us anything, it's taught us not to expect any rumours to be true!) i'm not entirely sure why they'd put a deactivated fm transmitter in there and not activate it straightaway, but stranger things have happened.
i too have upgraded from a 1G to a 3G, and will agree with you on all those points. although points 1 and 3 were true for the 2G as well.

I want to buy an iPod Touch 5th Gen, and i looked for it on the internet, and i noticed that every site has a specific model (eg. APTO5G32BL or MD717ZP/A), (some sites have the same model). And i want to know if there is a difference between iPod models so that i buy the better one.

first of all, i don't live in the middle east, i live in Australia.
after googling, you seem to be right, that the photo on the right is not a valid Apple model number.
but is it bad thing to not be a valid Apple model number, since it's cheapest i've ever seen.

Is there a size difference between iPod Touch 1G home button and other versions of iPod Touch?

I have an old iPod Touch 1G home button that got stuck. So I bought a new home button to replace it and I'm having trouble fitting it in the hole that I'm replacing. I'm not sure the new button I have is for iPod Touch 1G or for other iTouch versions.

#2- No. With an internet/wifi connection there are radio apps you can use.
#3- Yes, the 5G iPod looks like an iPhone 5, it is a little thinner.. The 5G iPod has a smaller screen that both the iPhone 6's
Phones have GP since that comes with the cellular radio. iPod do not have GPS but for location use the locations of nearby wifi networks that are in Apple/s database

Number of Podcasts Episode differences between iPod Touch in iTunes and physically from my iPod Touch.

Physically on my iPod it says I have 19 episodes of a podcasts but when i look on my device in iTunes, it only shows that i have 11 episodes. Here are screen shots of my iPod Touch and iTunes

hey, is there any differences between the ipod touches that do not come with the january software upgrade and ones that do come with the upgrade. (Becides the obvious applications).

Alright thanks, the reason I ask is becuase the place i bought it did not have any of the 16GB upgraded ones in stock so I went with the one that wasn't upgraded. I figured since it is $20 cheeper I will just buy the upgrade off iTunes for $20 and end up spending the same but getting the ipod today.

I bought one at target for 299.99 15 days ago. Now they have one under the same sku number for 229.99. I asked for a price adjustment and they told me they can't do it. I said well I'll just reurn it for a full refund and you lose the whole sale. Even called corporate. They didn't seem to care what I did.

Well I contacted them last thursday when I saw apple had readjusted the price. of course their (Targets) website still reflected the 299.99. It did not change until today. It's amazing they would rather lose the entire sale then make a refund adjustment.
Is there a difference in the ipods (touch G1 & G2)? What are they?

ipod 5.5 and ipod 5.5g actually refers to the same iPod. 5.5g stands for "iPod generation 5.5",and so does 5.5. it's just an abreviation (hey, it's one character shorter ;-)).
as mentioned above, if you got a brand new 160gig iPod, this means you actually have an iPod of the 6th generation, so you got an iPod 6g (or iPod 6, or iPod classic. pick the term you prefer ;-))
