what are the differences between iTunes Gift Card and iTunes Apps Card?
The only difference is the picture on the front.
You can use either for anything in the iTunes store.

  • HT201209 What is the difference between iTunes Gift Card & iTunes Digital Code?

What is the difference between iTunes Gift Card & iTunes Digital Code?

iTunes gift cards are cards that you can purchase in the Apple Store or authorized retail store. After redeeming an itunes gift card, your account should have some store credits that is equal to the worth of the gift card that you redeemed. It's as good as money in the store.
An iTunes digital code is a code that comes with a specific item when you redeem it. You do not have any choices for the item that you will get for the code. It can be a movie code or a video code.

  • Difference between iTunes Home Sharing and Tune Ranger

Could someone describe the differences between the Home Sharing feature in iTunes and the product Tune Ranger? I guess I'm trying to find out if the Tune Ranger product is worth having if I've got Home Sharing enabled on all my iTunes machines.
    TIA
    -JP

Home Sharing just makes the tracks available for copying. It does not do the actual copying itself; you have to select what you want to copy. It's in principle no different than using a CD, USB flash drive or other external media, just more convenient. Utilities such as Tune Ranger are designed to keep two iTunes libraries identical, so it will identify and copy any changes automatically. Which you choose will depend on what you want, identical libraries or just the ability to copy some content from one computer to another.

  • Is there a difference between Apple ID password and Apple store password?

Seems when I use my iphone or touch, it uses or changes the password to use.  I like to update apps and information, but I am really tired of changing my password all the time.  When i use my imac it all seems fine, when i try to use the other objects, I never have the right password?  Has anyone else had this problem?

Depends upon to whom you are speaking. There is the iTunes Store, sometimes called the App Store, from which Apple vends apps for iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Then there is the Mac App Store, MAS, also sometimes referred to as the App Store rather than the Mac App Store where Apple vends software for Mac computers.

  • ITunes, iBooks, iTunesU, and App Store crash on iPad 1

I have an iPad 1, and now since ios6 was released, with the new format home screens for iTunes, iBooks, App Store etc, all those apps are now crashing on my iPad. I can't get to the Featured page in any of those apps now, they just crash when they try to load them.
I suspeect this is because the IOS5 version of these apps no longer work with the new format of the stores.
This is apple forcing people to buy new hardware.

I noticed same problems, but additionally, my IPAD crashed while I had been using.
I cannot get it to come back on through soft or hard reset. I even put it on sync mode and it doesn't appear in ITunes sync page. What or how do I get it back on? I KNOW it has plenty of charge

  • What exactly it the difference between iTunes Wifi-Sync and iCloud Backup?

Okay, i do not yet have a mac, only an iPod touch, but am (hopefully) buying a mac soon (MacBook Pro to be specific). I buy all my music etc on my iPod, and am currently use iCloud sync which i have all the buttons in the ON position. Anyway, i am rather confused after reading alot about the two methods of syncing there exact differences. When i get my mac can i use both- for reasurance or do i have to choose one? Also, does iTunes wifi sync my photos and videos (thats photos ive taken and videos ive made/filmed) and does iCloud do this. Also if i use both photostream and iCloud/iTunes for my photos, will that create double ups of all my photos?
    Thanks
    The_Ele4ant

Wi-Fi sync works in the same way as syncing over a USB cable, albeit more slowly, and can be used when your iTunes library can see your device on your local network.
    iOS: Syncing with iTunes
iCloud backup saves the settings and documents from your apps to the cloud instead of your own computer. It seems you either backup to your computer or to iCloud, but not both, at least not on a regular basis. You may still be able to trigger a local backup manually when using iCloud for backup.
    iCloud: Backup and restore overview
Photostream operates independently of either of the previous features to move your pictures to your computer and other iOS devices when in range of any working Wi-Fi connection.

  • When I open iTunes store I only have the options 'iTunes U', 'Podcasts' and 'App Store'. I don't see 'Music', 'Books' etc. How do I get these?

    As in the heading.

Unfortunately you don't. Not all content types are available in all countries (due to licensing and in some cases a country's laws etc), and in the UAE there are only Apps, Podcasts, iTunes U and free books (a full list of what is available where is shown on this page) - so unfortunately you cannot purchase music, films, tv shows or paid for books from Apple. Are there other media purchase download sites in the UAE that you could use ?

  • ITunes not sending email notifications to iTunes and App Store gifts recipients

I sent several iTunes and App Store gifts from my Apple ID... I set the date to be sent of Dec 25. The gift recipients have not received email notifications about their gifts. I went into my iTunes account and resent the gift, but the people I sent gifts to are still not getting emails from iTunes. However I got the iTunes email informing me my credit card had been charged.

I'm having this issue as well. I was really hoping to surprise people on Christmas Day, really disappointed right now., doesn't look like anyone has got an email about the apps I gifted them.

  • Hello please hepl me in my problem in apple id, i cannot connect to my ipad mini in itune store and app store because they find me a credit card but i dont have credit card. what can i do now? i need an answer for this problem. thank you

hello please help me in my problem in apple id, i cannot connect to my ipad mini in itune store and app store because they find me a credit card but i dont have credit card. what can i do now? i need an answer for this problem. thank you

I would suggest that you buy a visa or mastercard gift card and put a few dollars on it and use it to access the store.  Just add money to it before you want to buy something from the store and it will act like a normal credit card for you.

  • Language and international content on iBook, iTunes and App Store

    Hi,
when I try to buy any kind of apps, books, games, etc, the iBook, iTunes and App Store languages change to German, along with the content. I just bought my iPad yesterday, here in Germany, but I'm Dutch and would prefer to see american content, instead of all the translated, German, versions of products I get now. I have tried changing the store language on both my iPad and computer, and synched them, without effect. The only way to get the american content, for me, was to change the place I live to America. That worked fine, until I tried to get something. When I did, I got a message saying that my account was only usable in Germany. Does anyone know how to solve my problem????
    thank you,
    Leon O.

In order to have an account in a particular country, you must a) have a valid billing address in that country, b) have a credit card billed to that address or use iTunes gift cards purchased in that country and c) be physically located in that country at the time of purchase. So, unless you actually change where you live to the U.S., you'll need to continue using the German iTunes Store.
    Best of luck.

Is this a new Apple iD? If it is, and you have already set it up, then you have two options:
    1.     Temporarily put a Credit Card or Gift Card on the account to download the free app. If you put a credit card, then once you have downloaded the app, you should be able to go into your Account preferences and change the payment option to = None.
    2.     You can download the fee App, and then set up a new Apple ID.

  • ITunes and App Store apple ID disabled?

So my Apple ID for both iTunes and App store has been disabled for the past 1-2 weeks now and I have tried multiple credit cards(my dads) and none have enabled it, yet all the credit cards have worked for buying various other things. It wont let me update apps, redeem itunes gift cards, buy songs or download free apps. I went into my local Apple Store and they said they didnt "have the right equipment to fix this issue" and to contact apple support. But nothing has worked?? Any ideas how to fix this? Need this issue resolved ASAP! Thanks!

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Difference between Itunes and Appstore

Does somebody could explain me the difference between Itunes store, Itunes U and Appstore? Is all the same?
I also find less than intuitive the search engine inside these interfaces. No subcategories at all. Suposse that I want to look for a book, podcast or magazine about climbing. I enter in sports category, but then I find 2788 apps (for the ipad). How can i refine this search?.
    Many thanks
    Pablo
