Difference between LIKP-VBTYP 'Returns' and 'Returns delivery for order'

Hi...I have tried researching this myself, but still can't seem to get a good answer.  In the LIKP table, there is a VBTYP of 'H' for returns and 'T' for returns on delivery order.  I am trying to understand the difference between the two...how could you have a return with it NOT being on a delivered order?  Is there something basic I am missing? Any and all help extremely apprecated.

Hi,
I fully agree with the input given by Mr G Lakshmipathi.
VBTYP as field description implies, it just says about the SD document category , but applicable to all documents such as order(includes outling agreements, inquiry,quotation as well) , delivery , billing.
These values are inbuilt. wrt: document behaviour we use this doc category.
You can even observe, doc category: K & O -
K = Credit memo request  which applicables only in VA01
O = Credit memo  applicables only in VF01.
if you try to execute the table LIKP ( from SE16) with VBTYP=H, you will not get any doc's
I hope it adds info.

  • JCO difference between SAP J2ee 620 and Webas 640 for Internet Sales

    Does anyone have some information on how Internet Sales manages JCO calls to R/3 or CRM on WebAS 640?
    Till J2EE 620 the sapjco.jar file directory had to be in classpath along with the relevant dlls in WinNt directory.
    WebAs 640 Java installation doesn't mandate any such steps.
    How does this work? The jar probably is in the cluster/server/bin/ext folder but what about the native libraries? How are they loaded.
    I am having problems making RFC calls to R/3 from a web application deployed on SAP WebAS 640.
    This is not the internet sales application but a general J2EE application and I was wondering if i could use the same approach as used by Internet Sales to load the native libraries.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Bharat.

    Vivek,
        We have the WebAs 640 Java system running on a AIX server. I placed the following folder under classpath
    /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/JC**/j2ee/cluster/server/bin/ext/com.sap.mw.jco/sapjrfc.jar
    The error thrown is
    JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
    JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc [Can't find library sapjcorfc  (libsapjcorfc.a or .so) in sun.boot.library.path or java.library.path

    The problem is a search on libsapjcorfc.* only return dll files and no .so or .a files.
    Wondering how ISA loads the native libraries on AIX!

  • What's the difference between iPod touch 4g and 5g exept for price and colur?

    What is the difference?

    I have heard that the new itouch 5 has different colours which is not the answer you are looking for. The new touch 5 has a flashlight like iphones. Also, there is siri, 5 columns and a new fixed app called passbook i think. It has a loop holder where you can hold your ipod like a necklace. In addition, the ipod 5 is much more thinner, faster, better camera, and the charger is different. It is about $299.
    The people who said there are no changes in ipod5, they are totally mistaken.
    Glad I could help and wish all my information was correct. (By saying that, I don't mean I made it all up

  • Hyper-V: Why difference between "Free Disk Space" and "Inspect Disk" for a VM (Guest OS is Windows 2008, 2008 R2, 2010, 2010 R2)

    I am trying to figure out the "Free Disk Space" on a VM on Hyper-V host.
    When I see the available space inside the VM, shown by Microsoft OS, it is less than, what is reported by the ‘Inspect Disk’ utility of Hyper-V Manager.
    Why this difference?

    Hi,
    Is it the exactly 10% free space when the issue occurs? Please run a chkdsk in CMD on that partition and see the size of available space matches the 10% - I'm thinking if it is actually full when a part of disk space is not calculated.
    In my test I created a 9.87GB partition and keep copy a 1GB file on it. Now it only has about 130MB free space but I can still add txt file with small size onto it. So what's the exact message you got?
    If it is a warning (but users can still add files onto it), please see if this will help:

  • Difference between Profoma Invoice F5 and F8

    Dear Gurus,
    Can any one explain me the difference between Profoma Invoice F5 and F8 apart from order relevant and delivery relevant profoma Invoice. Thanks in advance.
    Regds
    Jeevagan

    Hi
    As far as i know
    F5 is an Order related Proforma Invoice and F8 is delivery related. Apart from this the copy controls will be maintained from Order to billing for F5.
    Similarly the copy controls will be maintained from Delivery to billing for F8 Proforma.
    Also for F5 you can create the billing doc after creating the sales order itself.
    for F8 Proforma invoice you have to create a sales order and delivery then only you can create a F8 Proforma.
    regards

  • Difference between "change auth data " and "expert mode" in pfcg

    Gurus ,
    i need to know , what is the difference between
    "change  authorization data "
    and
    "expert mode for profile generation" in PFCG .
    and what is the significance of the three options that we get when we choose expert mode ?

    Hi Susin,
    To change the authorization data for the transactions assigned to the role, choose Change Authorization Data or Expert Mode for Profile Generation.
    If you are generating the profile for the first time, there is no difference between the two modes.
    When you change a role, you must regenerate the authorization profile. In this case, the status of the profile generation is displayed red or yellow at the top of the Authorizations tab page.
    If the status display is red, you must perform an authorization data comparison, since the menu was changed since the last profile generation or no authorization data exists.
    If the display is yellow, the authorization data for the role was changed and saved after the last generation. The generated profile is no longer current. You need to regenerate it.
    The significance of the three options that we get when we choose expert mode is as follows:
    Choose one of the options to maintain the authorization values (in normal mode, the correct option is automatically set):
    1> Delete and recreate profile and authorizations
    All authorizations are recreated. Values which had previously been maintained, changed or entered manually are lost. Only the maintained values for organizational levels remain.
    2> Edit old status
    The last saved authorization data for the role is displayed. This is not useful, if transactions in the role menu have been changed.
    3> Read old status and compare with new data
    If you change transactions in the role menu, this option is the preconfigured. The profile generator compares the existing authorization data with the authorization default values for the menu transactions. If new authorizations are added during this process, they receive the status New. Authorizations that already existed receive the status Old.
    Note the following during the comparison:
    Values for organizational levels that are no longer required are deleted, all others are retained. If new organizational levels are added, you need to maintain them.
    The standard authorization for the object S_TCODE is always automatically filled with the current transactions from the role menu. It cannot be copied or manually changed, only deactivated.
    Thanks,
    Saby..

  • Difference between Abstract portal Component and JSPDyn page.

    Hi Experts,
    What is the difference between Abstract portal Component and JSPDyn page.
    Thanks,
    Jay.

    Hi,
    The PDK provides two methods for creating a portal component:
    Abstract Portal Component
    The Abstract Portal Component class offers a lean method for writing HTML commands to the Web client as well as for basic event handling. It is an implementation of the IPortalComponent, which is the central abstraction of the Portal Component API.
    DynPage
    The Page Processor Component, which extends the Abstract Portal Component, returns a DynPage. It provides more sophisticated event handling. Controls that produce events (such as buttons and checkboxes) have an event attribute that contains the name of the event handling method. This event handling method is invoked by the DynPage when it occurs.
    The JSPDynPage is an implementation of the DynPage and allows the use of the DynPage in combination with JSP (Java Server Pages).
    The PDK documentation and examples focus on the DynPage. Easier event handling and the separatation of content development (JSP) from application development (Java) make the DynPage a better choice for components with interaction and changing content.

  • I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for?

    I downloaded Mavericks and it won't install. I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for? I never had an administrator password-- I just hit enter and have never had a problem before with previous installations. I'm on an iMac, from 2007, running Mt. Lion (version 10.8.5). I've been looking for other's posts who may be having the same problem, but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

    Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
    I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
    Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
    When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
    In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
    I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
    Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
    Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
    Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
    Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
    On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
    Good luck!

  • Difference between a Service user and Dailog user ?

    Hi All,
    Can anybody tell me the difference between a service user and a dailog user?
    Why can't we use a service user for BSP applications?
    We are on a 620 system and use bsp system login.
    With a dialog user it works, but when I switch this user to a service user the login returns an empty login screen.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

    A service user can only be used for background processing and communication within a system (such as RFC users for ALE, Workflow, TMS, and CUA). Dialog screens are not allowed for these users.
    Dialog users however have individual, interactive system access.

  • Difference between a static class and singleton

    What is the difference between a static object and a singleton ?
    for example:
    1 )
    public class MyObject {
    static MyObject singleton ;
    public static MyObject getInstance() {
    if (singleton ==null) singleton = new MyObject ();
    return singleton;
    private MyObject () {
    supe();
    public void myMethod() {
    2 )
    public class MyObject {
    private MyObject () {
    supe();
    public static void myMethod() {
    If I need to call the myMethod() , witch of this solution is better ?
    // case 1
    MyObject.getInstance().myMethod()
    // case 2
    MyObject.myMethod()
    .....

    This has been discussed a lot here.
    Use the forum's search feature, or, since it's not necessarily reliable, use google.
    For many intents and purposes, they're equivalent.
    However, with a singleton you can implement an interface, and get polymorphic behavior. You can't do with with a class full of static methods (which, by the way, is NOT a static class).

    I want to know difference between execute as statement and execute as script in Toad ..while i am running a query execute as statement is taking about 3 seconds and if i run with execute as a script its taking long time..Which one i need to consider.Firstly, this is not a TOAD forum. TOAD is a 3rd party tool developed by Quest Software, so really your question does not belong here.
    However...
    When you execute a query as a statement then toad itself opens the cursor against the database and issues the statement, fetching the rows as they are needed to display in it's interface. You say it takes only about 3 second to run, but the chances are that you haven't scrolled the result window down to the last record, for which I'm sure you'd find it takes a little longer.
    When you execute a query as a script, TOAD passes the query out to be run in SQL*Plus rather than from within TOAD itself. With SQL*Plus, it runs the whole statement fetching all the rows before returning control, the same as if you had scrolled to the end of the result set in TOAD.
    In reality there should be no difference in the time it takes to execute the statements to completion in either environment.
