For which scenarios account based COPA used and for which scenarios costing based copa used.
    please guide me
    sateesh

    HI
Costing-based Profitability Analysis is the form of profitability analysis that groups costs and revenues according to value fields and costing-based valuation approaches, both of which you can define yourself. It guarantees you access at all times to a complete, short-term profitability report.
Account-based Profitability Analysis is a form of profitability analysis organized in accounts and using an account-based valuation approach. The distinguishing characteristic of this form is its use of cost and revenue elements. It provides you with a profitability report that is permanently reconciled with financial accounting

  • All About COPA extraction and business view

    Hi All,
I have gone through lots of questions posted in this forum about the functionla side of COPA and also on extraction side. Is there any document( preferably a pdf) where I can find all the info in one document about COPA functional aspects .
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Srinivas,
Give us ur mail ID, i can send u one doc.
    Re: COPA R/3 vs BW(aCCOUNT BASED-PA)
One of the differences between account based CO-PA and costing-based CO-PA that there is no delta extraction. There is also 1 other rule. You can only select 1 fiscal-period. The set-up is similar to costing based CO-PA.
The big difference between Account Based CO-AP and Costing Based CO-PA is of course the data is stored in the CO Modules.
Account based CO-PA is part of the CO concept. This means when you post to a cost element the data is posted to a CO-module (CCA, OPA, PA, PS etc). The way the data is stored is also different from costing based PA.
The CO tables like COEP, COBK (for the individual item are used and the COSS and COSP are used for the totals.
The object where the posting are related to they are stored in the CE4... table. So if you want to analyse the data there is 1 keyfigure and the cost-element is a characteristic (account model).
COsting Based CO-PA data is statistical data. This means that the update of CO-PA is not always equal to what is stored in the CO modules or in finance. The cost element is also not always updated and there are also more key-figures used to store info about the type of costs or revenues. Tables as CE1, CE2 , CE3 and CE4 are used.
Extraction for Account Based CO-PA is only based on the total records (full loads are only possible). For costing based CO-PA there it is possible work with init and delta packages and also to select data from the individual postings databases (CE1, CE2).
The way you generate the extractor is similar.
Hopelfully this gives you a bit more background of the CO-PA module.
    Assign points if it helps..

  • Difference between Asset Intelligence 09A report and reports in the Software Metering folder

    Dear all,
I can not seem to grasp the difference between Asset Intelligence 09x reports and reports in the Software Metering folder. Do they extract conclusions based on the same data and which data are those? I also have come to notice that there are occasional dicrepancies
between them. Why would this be?

    Hi,
    1. Software metering allows you to create a rule and meter application usage very granular, when it is started, how many times , how long it has been used e.t.c, Asset intellegence doesn't require you to create any rules it will only inventory start/stop
so you can get reports like "all computers that hasn't started a application in x days".
2.It depends on the license agreement for that application, but yes you can get how many has started a specific application within a timeframe.
    3.No

  • Difference between standard SAP asset report and BW report

    Hi
We are finding differences between the standard Asset report and the BW report which is extracted via standard SAP extractor. Could anyone guess what would be the reason for this?? I ran the report - AW01N
Please revert at once as this is very urgent.
    Regards,
    prasad

    Hi Prasad,
A number of reasons could be responsible for this. Check the following:
    1. If some posting were done in R/3 just before running your BW report, you may have to re-extract the data into BW as this would no longer be current. The thumb rule is to always allow at least <b>45</b> minutes to <b>1</b> hour between when the last transaction in R/3 was posted before re-extraction. This is to allow SAP Logical Unit of Work(LUW) to have been committed to the R/3 database.
    2. There may have been some restrictions on the selection variables in the BW query. Check the Query Designer, just to be sure there are no restrictions.
    I hope the above help.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

I would like to understand the difference between these configuration steps, if there is any please explain, I understnd from various docs I've gone through that "perl adcfgclone.pl dbconfig" updates the database tbales with information from context file, wanted to know if adconfig.sh also does the same, apart from updating template files on the db tier.

    Hi;
    1. perl adcfgclone.pl dbconfig <target context file>You need this syntax configure the Target system for clone process, adcfgclone.pl is used to configure Taget system. And it calls adclone.pl
2.adconfig.sh -- (run on dbtier)adconfig.pl uses for run Autoconfig. Please check Autoconfig FAQ [ID 218089.1] << part When should I run AutoConfig? -Which files / profile options get changed when I run AutoConfig?

  • Difference between SAP R/3 , mySap and ASAP

    Hi all
Please tell what is clear Difference between SAP R/3 , mySap and ASAP
    Thanks in advance

    hi Naresh,
    SAP R/3--
SAP R/3 is SAP's integrated software solution for client/server and distributed open systems. SAP's R/3 is the world's most-used standard business software for client/server computing.
R/3 stands for Real Time and 3-tier architecture.
    mySAP --
In SAP's words "mySAP.com is an open collaborative business environment of personalized solutions on demand"
In our words, mySAP.com is actually a collection of three things.
    a) The Marketplace is a website where buyers and sellers can register themselves, and then buy and sell from each other.
    b) The Workplace is a piece of software which sits on your desktop, and allows you (after ity is setup correctly) to gain access to all of the systems you use in your company. It is, naturally, tightly integrated with both SAP and the Marketplace.
    c) mySAP.com is also the umbrella name for all of SAP's internet-enabled applications.
    ASAP--
ASAP (AcceleratedSAP) is a step-by-step methodology for speeding up the implementation of an SAP R/3 system. The components of ASAP, which can be used together or individually, are called accelerators. Accelerators are based on the best practices of SAP customers from around the world and consist of a number of templates, questions, and scenarios that require user input to help the user determine the best way to implement their R/3 system. According to SAP literature, ASAP can reduce the time required to implement an R/3 system by as much as 50%.
    If helpful, reward points...

  • Difference between SOA Suite 64 Bit and SOA Suite 32 Bit

    Hi,
I am new to SOA. I want to install SOA Suite 64 Bit on my laptop which 64 Bit system and has Window 8 64 Bit.
I am curious to know that what is the difference between SOA Suite 64 Bit and SOA Suite 32 Bit.
Are there different installations available for 64 Bit and 32 Bit?
    Or
Installations are same for 64 Bit and 32 Bit but it's only depends on whether JDK is 64 Bit or 32 Bit.
    Thanks,
    Prashant Jain

    Hi Anatoli,
Thank you for your quick response. I really appreciate it.
I can download the latest SOA Suite but still I am curious to know that how can I use the same SOA Suite which I have as 64 Bit.
    Steps may be,
    1. Install JDK 64 Bit.
    2. Install the same weblogic with -D64 option.
    3. Install the rest of the software (most probably downloaded for Window 32 Bit not for generic 64 Bit).
Will this make SOA Suite installation 64 Bit? Apologize if I am keep asking silly questions
    Thanks,

  • Difference between cleared items, open items and all postings (FI).

    Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me the difference between cleared items, open items and all postings for an account.
While running corresponding bapis and transaction FAGLL03 (for GL) or FBL1N (for accounts payable) i found that in some cases all postings is less than cleared items or open items for a time period. How could it happen.According to my knowledge all postings should contain cleared items and open items.
    Please correct me..
    Thanks and Regards
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,
For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.
    Hope this will help.

  • The Difference between iphone Unlock T-Mobile and iphone Unlock Free-Sim

As mentiond in the title my questions are:-
    - What is the Difference between iphone Unlock T-Mobile and iphone Unlock Free-Sim?!
    - Did they both work Internationally?!
    - For the Unlock T-Mobile should i use their sim or i can use any sim directly?!
    Thanks

Unlocked means unlocked and you can use any sim card and keep changing them and the phone will never lock if it is unlocked.
Sim free, means that the phone is sold at full price without a sim card, but the phone will lock to the first sim card that you put in it.  A sim free phone will work internationally, but you will have to use a roaming plan with your phone company because the phone will be locked, so you CANNOT change it to a local sim card.
If you have an unlocked phone, you can use it internationally by inserting a local sim card and the phone should then work and you won't have to pay increased roaming charges as you would with a locked phone.
If you buy a T-Mobile phone that is unlocked, DO NOT activate it with their sim card or the phone will lock to T-Mobile and you will have to approach them to get it unlocked.  Use it with another sim card straight away and it will remain unlocked.
