Difference between loading multiclip from Browser or Timeline

We recently did a two-camera shoot. Created a multi-clip using the inpoints of two separate clips. Then I loaded it into the Viewer, from the Browser to the Viewer. From the Viewer I did an overwrite edit of the multiclip into the Timeline. Then I did realtime playback and switched between the angles showing in the Viewer. It worked great, awesome. My question is this: What is the difference between doing it this way or if I would load the multiclip into the Viewer from the Timeline instead of to the Viewer from the Browser? The manual seems to note some kind of distinction between the two. Does it make some kind of difference when I go to apply effects later on? Definitely I want to try to make the clips match color/brightness values as much as possible using the Color Correctors. Thank you,

One difference that seems to pose a bit of a workflow issue(at least for me) is the fact that when loading a multiclip out of the timeline you can't switch through the angles the same way you can when loading out of the browser. I posted a thread on it a while back here.

  • Difference between Load - of - program & Initialization ?

    Hi Friends,
What is the "Difference between Load - of - program & Initialization "
    Cheers
    R.Kripa.

The corresponding event is triggered in an internal session immediately after a program with type 1, M, F, or S is loaded. The corresponding processing block is processed once per program and internal session.
The processing block LOAD-OF-PROGRAM has approximately the same function in an ABAP program with type 1, M, F, or S as the constructor method of a class in ABAP Objects.
Programs wiht type 1, M, F, or S can be loaded into an internal session in two ways:
    Program calls
Whenever you call a program using SUBMIT or a transaction code, a new internal session is opened. The LOAD-OF-PROGRAM event is therefore called in each program call.
    External procedure calls
The first time you call an external procedure (subroutine or function module), the main program of the procedure that you called is loaded into the internal session of the calling program. The eventLOAD-OF-PROGRAM is triggered and the corresponding processing block is executed before the procedure that you called. However, subsequent calls from the same calling program to a procedure in the same subroutine pool or function group do not trigger the LOAD-OF-PROGRAM event.
so it's before the program is loaded in the memory for execution.
    Initialization:
(For executable programs of type 1), the associated event is executed before the selection screen is displayed.
The parameters (PARAMETERS) and selection criteria (SELECT-OPTIONS) defined in the program already contain default values (if specified). You can assign different values here and also change the database-specific selections.
    Example
Define the last day of the previous month as the key date:
    PARAMETERS QUAL_DAY TYPE D DEFAULT SY-DATUM.
    INITIALIZATION.
      QUAL_DAY+6(2) = '01'.
      QUAL_DAY      = QUAL_DAY - 1.
Here, the default value of QUAL_DAY is the current date, e.g. 05.04.88 (QUAL_DAY = '19880405'). Two subseqent statements set the date first to the beginning of the month, e.g. 01.04.88 (QUAL_DAY = '19880401') and then, by subtracting one day, to the last day of the previous month, e.g. 31.03.88 (QUAL_DAY = '19880331').
so load-of-program before program is loaded in the main memory is excuted and initialization is done before selection screen of the program is displayed..

  • Query to get the difference between 2 totals from 2 different queries

I wanted to know if it is possible to get the difference between 2 totals from 2 different queries. I would explain with an example:
    1st query  - Select sum(homepass) from table 1
    2nd query – select sum(homepass) from table2
Is it possible to display the difference like-
    Select sum(homepass) from table 1 - sum(homepass) from table2
I know the above query would gives syntax error but is there a better way or a trick to get the above task accomplished from a single query.
I hope, my question is clear.
Please revert with the reply to my query.

Um.... I don't think so. Not with the cartesian join between a1 and 2.

to do it all.You load a class - it isn't specific to a driver.
That is part of java - not JDBC.
Normally JDBC drivers register themselves when the class is loaded. This is specific to the driver and has nothing to do with a user of the driver. It is only a concern to someone who must implement a driver.

  • Difference between importing images from iphoto via drag & drop vs 'media' button

Hi (long time reader of this community, but my first post),
i'm creating a huge document (approximately 200 pages) in Pages (5.0.1, Using Maverick on a 27 inch iMac).
In the new version of Pages the "Media" button only produces small images that makes it difficult for me to choose which photo i want.
Is there a difference between importing images from iphoto drag & drop vs 'media' button.
Or is it better to just drag and drop the original jpegs (which i also have in a folder).
Is Pages the best program to use for this type of project? it is a profolio with about 4 photos, text, text boxes etc on each of the 200+ pages.
    any help much appreciated.

Pages 4.3 might be up to the job. I very much doubt Page 5.0.1 is.  It lacks more than 90 features of its predecessor and is very buggy to boot. You probably have an iwork09 folder in your Applications folder. I suggest you trash Pages 5.0.1 and use Pages 4.3 until Apple makestheir new "Eddie Cue" ready for prime time (if, that is, they ever do).

  • Wrong position of objects / difference between editor view and browser view.

    Dear Adobe
System info: Mac OS X 10.9, Muse 7.1 Build 329, Chrome, Safari and Firefox in the newest versions.
I use Muse since version 5 and this effect does exist 'til today (v7.1) without any changes.
Many times i have differences in the position of placed objects. But this missbehaviour is not realy logical. For example take a look to this illustration:
Left: Muse Editor, right: Browser (in this case its chrome, but the effect is identical in safari and firefox too)
Left you see one pixel space between the blue bar and the shadow (image-object). In the browser is the space bigger (2px). When i move the shadow-object in muse one pixel higher, then look this so:
The shadow is now within the bluebar. The position has changed in muse for 1 pixel, in browser around 7 pixels... i don't see, why.
    Another example:
Left Muse Editor, right Browser... do you see the dramatic difference between?
I hope, this problem can be solved with a future version...
    Best regards
    Michael

This variation is due to the difference in the layout of text between Design view and Preview, which is representative of the variations that exist between browsers, OSes, devices and individual versions of each of those.
It's impossible to reverse engineer the structure of the objects from the screenshots, but how the objects or individual sized and positioned relative to one another is key to understanding (and explaining) what you're encountering.
If you provide the URL for this page I'll attempt take a look at it and provide some guidance for how to achieve the effect you're looking for within the constraints inherent in working with live text on the web.

  • Functional difference between Blackberry and Internet Browser on the device

    Hello:
Based on the following link, I understand the difference between the Blackberry and Internet browser (http://www.blackberryforums.com.au/forums/blackberry-general-discussion/2815-difference-between-brow...
I was wondering if there are any functional difference between the two, i.e. HTML rendering, images being broken, etc. Under Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration, If I configure both the Blackberry and Internet browser the same way, will a particular URL behave the same?
I'm in the process of testing our mobile applications on different devices and would appreciate if you could provide the difference, if any between the 2 browsers.
    Thanks:
    Vishal

    Hey vishalt77,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
All BlackBerry smartphones will have Internet Browser for browsing the web.
However if you're on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you get the BlackBerry Browser which enables you to access internal websites and secured websites.

  • Difference between Bluetooth Module from Blackberry Q10 to Blackberry Q5?

    Hello,
I am from Germany so please excuse if my English knowledge is not so good.
I own a Bose Wave Music System III. Last week I bought a original Bluetooth Adapter for that System.
After the Adapter arrived I connected it without any problem with my Blackberry Q10.
My Girlfriend is using a Blackberry Q5.
So I tried to connect the Q5 with the Bose Bluetooth Adapter as well.
But the Q5 is not able to connect correctly.
There is the same problem with the Q5 and my Toshiba Portege R930.
Both decives only see the Bose Bluetooth Adapter as a Nokia mobile phone device (all other Bluetooth devices are off, me and my neighbours don't use any Nokia mobile phone ).
If I try to connect to this device, Bose and Q5/R930 can not connect.
I also bought a new Bluetooth Stack Stick 4.0 from LogiLink, this Stick doesn't even recognize the Bose Bluetooth Adapter
So my question is if there is a difference between the bluetooth module Q10 and Q5?
If I read the technical data sheets there is always just written Bluetooth 4.0, but there must be a difference after my opinion.
    Thank You for your help

I am deciding if one of them would be better choice than another. Does anyone know the difference between 2 choices? Also, when would they ship pre-ordered iphone6?

Just to double check.  Go into the Purchased tab of the App store.  You should see the apps are "installed".  If they have a button that says "install", I'd do that.

  • Problem inserting media from browser to timeline

Hi - all of a sudden and I can't figure out why, FCPX has started behaving strangely: I am unable to drag any media from the browser into my timeline (or "storyline" as it's now called). I can't figure out why. Pushing the buttons below the browser (for connect, insert, or append to the storyline) don't do anything either. Storylines I had been working on previously continue to behave normally (I can move clips around and delete them). But I can't add anything new--not even titles, themes, transitions, audio, nothing. It's inexplicable and very frustrating, the whole program is basically useless. It seems like such a fundamental problem that it should be a simple fix--anyone have any thoughts? I've already tried resetting to default settings.
    Thanks a lot.

Try deleting preferences. Start FCP X while holding the command and option keys down. You'll be asked if you want to delete your preferences.
If deleting preferences does not solve it, try Window->Revert to Original Layout.
Also, in case there is a problem with the library you are working on, try closing it and opening a new library. Does the new library also exhibit the same problem?

  • Why there's a lenght difference between 24fps and 23,976 fps timelines with the same clip?

I was working on a 23,976fps project and I've tried to import a short  animated sequence of 44 tiff frames in my timeline in my Premiere CS5.
I've imported the sequence, interpreted the footage to 23,976fps (as it was rendered in AE) to check it before sending it to a finish house.
First issue. Even if I set the framerate to 23,976, Premiere CS5 shows me 23,98 on interpret footage window. I've assumed it as a rounded number.
When I drag the clip to my 23,976 sequence, the clip shows as 43(!) frames length on info panel. It misses one frame. Putting the sequence over the original video, It really misses a frame.
I decided to make a test. And placed the same clip, interpreted the same way on a 24fps sequence, and the clip shows as 44 frames length on info panel.
How can, the same clip, shows different amount of frames (I'm not talking about time, but simply raw frames), on different timelines? It does not make any sense! If my sequence has 44 frames, It should show as 44 frames independent of the timeline I've imported it. Am I Right?
Just for test, I´ve imported the same sequence on AE, and in it shows as 44 frames on a 23,976 timeline. How can I trust Premiere frame interpreting this way?
Just one more thing. The scene used as base for the AE animation, has 44 frames, and it was measured and cut from a 30s film on the same premiere that is having this weird behavior.
Can anyone explain to me what Just have happened? It´s driving me Crazy!
    Thanks in Advance
    Mauricio Mendes

There's a long and storied history behind the concept of a drop frame tmecode. It traces its origin to early color TV in the USA, and was a way to get rid of artifacting that was visible on B&W TVs when watching the color signal (color subcarrier).
Basically, by having your intermediate timebase set wrong, you were having PPro drop a frame. That's why you saw the mismatch in frame numbers.
