Difference Between Logical Screen and Active/Physical Screen

Hi All,
Could someone tell me what is the Diffrence Between Logical Screen and Active/Physical Screen and what is the reason for having two screens instead of one.
Thanks in Advance,
Joseph Reddy.

Hi Marilyn,
Thanks You. I have found the answer to this.
All,
If you go to the SPRO>Logistics Execution>Mobile Data Entry-->Define Screen Management. Here you have two screens one is Logical Screen and another actual Screen and a program associated to this.
Here the Logical Screens are used within the program and Actual screens are the screens which are visible to the User. The Link between Logical and actual screen is present in the table T3130C. Program recognises logical screens.
Now suppose say certain functionality/create new transaction code for RF Device is not there in SAP and you want to Include/Create your own code in any of the User-Exits. Then you have to rename the actual screen to 9***. So that the system recognises the change in the screen and related User-Exit is executed.
Hope this is Clear.
Thanks & Regards,
Joseph Reddy.

  • What is the difference between logical ROWID and physical ROWID

    hello
can u please explain the difference between logical ROWID and physical ROWID
    regards,

from the docs (a 30 sec search)
Physical rowids store the addresses of rows in ordinary tables (excluding index-organized tables), clustered tables, table partitions and subpartitions, indexes, and index partitions and subpartitions.
Logical rowids store the addresses of rows in index-organized tables.

  • Is there a difference between Logic Pro and Logic Pro X?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is there a difference between Logic Pro and Logic Pro X?
    Already thx!

    Hi
    Short answer: No
    Longer answer:
Logic Pro X is the latest release version of the DAw known as "Logic Pro". Previous versions were: Logic Pro 9, Logic Pro 8 etc.
There was also a "Logic Express" (no longer available) which, though similar to Logic Pro, was missing a few features of Logic Pro in it's later versions)

  • Difference between logic $499 and academic $149

I am currently a UC student and was wondering what is the difference between logic studio $499 and the academic version $149?
I am planning to get Logic as my main workstation but trying to figure out do i buy the academic version using the advantage of being a student or to buy the $499 one.
    is there a difference?
    Thank You
    [email protected]

And at 149$, it's a lower price tag than the typical upgrade price for a major Logic revision. So, if you just began your academic years, chances are that you'll still be eligible for the student discount when LP10/LS3 arrives and it will cost you 149$ instead of 199$ to get the new version(if there's no change in Apple pricing at that time). So, buy the academic one, you'll save.

  • Difference between data guard and active data guard

As in subject. Can we paid for both products?

The one (active DG) is an additional feature of the other (DG)

BTW, is that mean that Data Guard in each version (9-11) is free on EE?

Yes - but you need to license the Standby Database. So it is not really "free" - but you better ask that our sales people :-)

  • Difference Between XI ABAP and ECC ABAP screens

    Hi All,
When i log on to PI abap screen,ie through GUI and i can run almost all transactions that are there for ECC, i Checked with Few
like SPROXY,we19,se11,se16,se37  etc. All transactions are valid here in PI box also.
My question is do we use these functionalities in any of the scenarios.
What is the difference if you create proxy is SPROXY in Xi and that in ECC.when we go for PI SPROXY.
Is the services registry list  the Proxies created SPROXY in Xi  or that in ECC.
    Regards,
    Abhi

The base transactions are common for any SAP R/3 system.
    >>My question is do we use these functionalities in any of the scenarios.
Some times we use depending on the requirement.
    >>What is the difference if you create proxy is SPROXY in Xi and that in ECC.when we go for PI SPROXY.
there is no difference. But generally we create proxies in SAP applications systems (not in SAP XI/PI)
Suppose if XI has one more client, then you can create proxies in that client by configuring that client as Application system in SXMB_ADM transaction pointing to XI integration Server client. But generally, XI is be used as middleware.

  • What is the difference between Logical Disk and Physical Disk?

    Hi.
When I do Performance Monitor, I got Logical Disk Avg. Disk sec/Write counter and  Physical Disk Avg. Disk sec/Write counter.
But I can see the different Avg. value and Max. value.
Even if Logical and Physical Disk are one-to-one mapping.
Why did i get the result?
One the other hands, I got a same result that Logical Disk Avg. Disk sec/Read counter and  Physical Disk Avg. Disk sec/Read counter's Avg. value and Max. value.

Physical Disk refers to an actual physical HDD (or array in a hardware RAID setup), whereas Logical Disk refers to a Volume that has been created on that disk.
So if you have one disk with one volume created on it then the values are likely to be 1 to 1, but if you have multiple volumes on the disk, for instance a physical disk with C:\ and D:\ volumes running on it, then the logical disks relate to c:\ and d:\
rather than the disk they're running on.

  • Differences between F10-100 and F10-125 screens

    Hi,
    I just got a Qosmio F10-100.
I read somewhere that the screen on the F10-125 is XGA and the screen on the F10-100 is not XGA.
Does anyone know if there are different screens for these two models.
I'm not really sure what XGA means. Can anyone help me?
    Thanks.

    Hi Jeremy
As far as I know both of them have 15.4" (1280x800) TruBrite Wide XGA TFT colour display.
If you want to know what is WXGA google a little bit around or visit this site http://www.gen-x-pc.com/lcd3.htm

  • Difference between Logic Pro and Logic Express?

A buddy wants me to show him how to use Logic Express. I'm fairly up on Logic Pro, have used it for years. I'm wondering if I can get a trial version of Express to try out for an hour before embarrassing myself in front of him?
Or if there is a huge amount of difference in the basic setup?

There is very little difference, mostly in content (Jampacks, Waveburner, Mainstage..and a few of the high end plugins). Other than that they're functionally identical. same audio engine, you wouldn't know the difference just by looking at them.

  • Difference between Logic Express and Pro? ro

Is the actual logic part the exact same? Is it that with the Pro you get all the extras? (soundtrack pro, qmaster, logic node, compressor, main stage, wave burner, jam packs). Is that what makes it the "pro" version? Or does the actual Logic app offer more abilities? If so, I can't seem to see much a difference. thanks

The app itself is indeed the same, but the included content and plug-ins are different.

  • Difference between At selection-screen  and At selection-screen field

I need to know the difference between
Difference between At selection-screen  and At selection-screen field
    Regards
    Shashi

    Hi,
AT SELECTION-SCREEN is the event triggered in the PAI of the selection screen.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN on field field_name is the event specific to the field and is triggered when u press enter in that field.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN selscreen_event.
    Effect
This statement defines event blocks for different events selscreen_event that are triggered by the ABAP runtime environment during selection screen processing.
Selection screen events occur immediately before sending a selection screen and after certain user actions on a displayed selection screen. They assist in selection screen processing in the ABAP program.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN is triggered at least twice during actions on selection screens that are linked into another selection screen as a subscreen - first for the linked selection screen itself, and then for the linking selection screens.
    SELECTION-SCREEN FIELD SELECTION
    FOR {NODE|TABLE} node [ID id].
    Effect
This statement defines a node node in the structure of the logical database for field selection. If a node belongs to type T, you can use the TABLE addition instead of NODE. The statement cannot be used for type C nodes. .
If a node is defined for field selection, you can use an executable program linked to the logical database in the GET statement to control which fields in the node are to be read by the logical database. If you use the function module LDB_PROCESS, the FIELD_SELECTION parameter must be specified accordingly.

  • Difference between DIALOGUE programming and SCREEN programming

    Hi,
Please tell me the difference between dialogue programming and screen programming
    jomon

    hi
    -          A transaction is dialog program that change data objects in a consistant way.
A dialog program must fulfil the following requirements
    -          A user friendly user interface.
    -          Format and consistancey checks for the data entered by the user.
    -          Easy correction of input errors.
    -          Access to data by storing it in the data bases.
    screen progarmming means.dialogue programming contains.
    -          Screens (Dynpros)
    -          Each dialog in an SAP system is controlled by dynpros.A dynpros consists of a screen
And its flow logic and controls exactly one dialog step.
    -          ABAP/4 module Pool.
Each dynpro refers to exactly one ABAP/4 dialog program .Such a dialog program is also       called a module pool ,since it consists of interactive modules.

  • Difference between logical and virtual terms

    Hello,
This is not purely oracle question; but in documentation so many times we find 2 terms:
    A. Logical
    B.Virtual.
So what is the principle difference between logical and virtual? As I know physical is that which I can see and touch; while logical/virtual is that is imaginary. We say tablespace is logical not virtual; while Java Virtual Machine; not Java Logical Machine. So I want to know; what is the principle difference; why two words for an imaginary thing. Before posting question; I searched in google as “Difference between virtual and logical” but I couldn’t found the answer.
    Please quote your comments.
    Thanks & Kind Regards
    Girish Sharma

    Girish,
I wont say that I am correcting you as this is like that half glass full/empty thing.May be what I see is half empty , you would see the same as half full.
Well now coming to the explanation.I am saying honestly , I got more confused after reading your definitions. What do you mean by saing that tablespace is not virtual.I see it as purely virtual. We don't say it as virtual tablespace or logical tablespace but it is actualy logical/virtual, having no existance but just the definition right?
How can you say that the size of virtual is larger than logcial? The size of tablespace is actualy the sum total of size of datafiles. So it actualy becomes very larger right?Much larger than JVM which is of few megs only.
The point 3 totally knocked me out.I have no idea what you said.
Ok I tell you this.Just remember the definition that Hans gave already. If you ask me than its the best definition that we can have. Just remember this and if some one asks you more further than give them your point 3 definition and tell them understand this ;-).Please don'tmind I am just kidding. Its just semantics.Don't get lost into it.You will find many people using both the terms interchangibly. So its ok.I shall stick with Hans's defintion, simple and concise. There are lot more other topics to dig upon in oracle.I can mail you lots of them.Spend time on those.Don't think that I am demotivating you.I understand you asked only because you have a doubt. But we got a good resolution of it and beyond that, its not of much use to dig it atleast not in the technial terms.
    Cheers
    Aman....

  • In OSX Activity Monitor, what's the difference between 'free' memory and 'inactive' memory

In OS X Activity Monitor, what's the difference between 'free' memory and 'inactive' memory. My daughters 2Gb MacBook Pro is very slow, it probably needs more memory but there is almost 1Gb of 'inactive' memory but no 'free' memory when an application is opened.
    Thanks

Free RAM is the one that has not been used by any application since you started up your Mac, and inactive RAM is the one that was used by an application and it is not in use anymore.
1 GB of inactive RAM is a lot, and it may be the cause of the slowness. There are a lot of apps that allows you to turn inactive into free RAM. I use FreeMemory, but have a look at the Mac App Store.
If you are a developer, you can do that with a command you can type into Terminal:
    sudo purge

  • Open item amt different between the FBL1N screen and the payment screen

    Hi,
I have a vendor open item in foreign currency and the amt shown in the FBL1N screen and the payment screen F-53 is different for this open item. The difference is because the open item is shown as per the latest exchange rate in the payment screen. The open item is revaluated according to the latest exchange rate and shown in the payment screen.
Actually the open item should not be revaluated in the payment screen. Instead of that it should show the original invoice amount as per the invoice posting without revaluation. Is my understanding correct or the system will revaluate the open item as per the latest exchange rate and display it in the payment screen?

    Hi Raja,
I think that the items will be revaluated while clearing. If you donot want the system to consider the same while clearing open items in local currency,in Company code global parameters select checkbox No ex.rate difference when clearing in local crcy.
