Difference between model Number and serial number.?

I have 2 instruments
Instrument 1 is 2 parameter display
Instrument 2 is 3 parameter display
Now how can know what is serial no. and model no. corresponding to the above instruments.

What instruments?
What type of instruments?
What does the manual for the instrument say about reading the serial no.
How are you communicating with them? Are they GPIB instruments? Are they DAQ instruments?
What do you mean by "2 parameter display" and "3 parameter display"?

It is almost solving the issue but for the same model number there are multiple product_guids.Then how to come to know that is the exact Ibase.
The exact the requirement is
The user will send an excel file which consists of Model Number ,Serial Number and other Custom fields.
Depending on the Model and Serial Number we need to get an Ibase and Component.
then we need to update the existing ibase and component with custom fields.
So can you help me in updating the custom fields data from excel file to the existing Ibase.
Outline : Finding the Ibase and component
updation to the existing Ibase and component.

Unless you have Find My Phone activated, you cannot find it.

RG23D Folio Number and Serial Number missing

Plz. help me, we are creating depot excise invoice through J1IJ transaction during this transaction some times system will skiped RG23D Folio number and serial number, some times Excise Invoice serial number also skiped and entry will be posting completed without any error, due to this problem every time we have to canceled document and create new one.
This type of problem occure some times, so plz. help what we do for resolve it.

I have my code in the badi...CRM_EQUI_LOAD...method PERFORM_LOAD.In this i try to to create a component for the ibase using the function module... CRM_ICSS_CREATE_COMPONENT...The component gets created but the material and serial number are not getting updated...It is very very urgent..please help....

I am not sure what information you are passing in given FM.
But in my case I have used FM 'CRM_CREATE_IBASE_FROM_EQUI' to create Ibase and component. It creates IBase and Component along with other details like material number and serial number.

Part number and serial number appear to be weird after memory installation

How come the part number and serial number are all 0.
eg: part number: 0x00000000000000000000000000
serial number: 0x0000000
however, the RAM just work fine. Do I have to contact the vendor. this is my first time so I just want to check it out is there any problems.

Equipment number and serial number to be carried over to the new item

Hi Friends,
I have an issue regarding the " Equipment number and serial number carried over to the new item " .
AS Per my Business Process i want to reject the old line item and add same Material in that order, while adding the new line item or substituted item , the new item has to pick the old serial number and Equipment number.
For the same We are using BAPI & BDC,
IN BAPI We do not have any function module and in BDC while rejecting the old line item serial number, BDC is not recording the same and default it is Picking Delete serial number as "NO".
Kindly through a light on this issue.

I think you can achieve my making the serial and equipment synchronization in the materiel master. Adjacent to where we specify the serial no profile we can make the setting. I am not in front of the system , kindly check
Also you need to have the internal number range for equipment which should be same as serial number

Was wondering why you are considering a ATA drive? The iMac G5 als has a serial ata drive already.
If you are considering an external drive, then you have a problem. The most important thing there is that you get a drive with firewire interface because I think they are the fastest, but USB is an ok choice. If there is an external firewire drive that also uses a serial ATA drive inside of it, then that would be an excellent choice for speed. USB or Firewire are standards for connecting a peripherial to you Mac. An external drive will probably have a very common, read Mactor, WD, Seagate, ATA drive in it. The external drive case has a interface inside of it which allows USB or Firewire to speak with the ATA drive, any flavor. Some people just purchase a powered external 3 1/2 case and install the hd they like the best, that is the nice thing about standards.
I think serial ATA will pretty much spell the end of all of the older ATA drives. The serial drives are actually very competitive in price now and faster.
Suggest you go to Western Digital, Maxtor, and/or Seagate's web sites to learn what drives they offer.

Find Equiment Number Using Material Number and Serial Number

Hi ,
I have a problem to find the EQUNR value for a particular Material and Serial Number.
Can you please suggest me the master Table to find these information.
Actually I used EQUI Table. Gave Material Numer and Serial Number to find EQUNR value.
But in this table MATNR and SERNR is not a key field.
I need Material and Serial Number as a key and find the EQUNR from the Table.
Is there any Table avilable MATNR and SERNR as a key Field to retrive EQUNR value ?

Hi Florian,
table EQUI is a master table. MATNR and SERNR are fields which fully specifiy a secondary index of EQUI table. So You are using a right table for your selection. There is no other table with MATNR and SERNR as a primary key for finding EQUNR.

HT4061 IMEI number and serial number not recognised

So I just bought an iphone 5 but the camera did not work so I had to get it replaced a week or so ago. Now apple support does not recognize my IMEI number or serial number, saying that I am not covered with apple support and i cannot even schedule a phone call because it says that these numbers don't exist or that they are too old to be covered for apple support or something weird. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I bought the phone off of the online apple store and when it did not work I did the express replacement (which was covered under my apple care) but now with the new phone its saying that these numbers do not exist or that apple coverage cannot cover products that were made five years ago.
