Dear all,
Can anyone guide me to urls and pricing between MS Dynamics CRM Marketing Module & MS Dynamics Marketing in terms of pricing and features?
If i already have MS Dynamics CRM 2013 (Online & on-premise), does it include the MS Dynamics Marketing features?
Any help/ guide would be greatly appreciated.

Difference between Include Text and Text Modules in Smartform?

What is the difference between CUSTCRMPRJ or crm/home/shr/ext in SAP-CRMWEB

I have some questions related to customization of E-commerce application.
as we per the SAP doc.
we have three software components.
SAP-CRMWEB * SAP-SHRWEB
In the above two software components have two dc's like /crm/home/crm/ext & /crm/home/shr/ext and for all the extensions to modify. If we are adding all the chnages related to E-Commerce in the above DC's . what is the use of CUSTCRMPRJ software component?
Is there any difference between CUSTCRMPRJ.sca and above dc's,
When to modify which component?

What is the relation between SHRWEB & SHRAPP same way CRMWEB & CRMAPP.?
3)
What is the relation between SHRWEB& CRMWEB , SHRAPP & CRMAPP?

I have worked on webdynpro applications in SAP WAS, but not much with respect to J2EE app. Now I need to support the CRM E-commerce apps(b2b scenario) which are already customized by dev team.
I have few questions related to applications.

I have understood one point clearly that, SHRAPP & CRMAPP will have only Enterprise application Dc's only, it has one.ear file to deply the web applicatons related to SHRWEB and CRMWEB by refering the related web DC's.
All CRM Web component DC's in SHRWEB have corresponding Enterprise applications in SHRAPP to deploy in server. same for CRMWEB.SCA have corresponding Enterprise application dc's in CRMAPP.
can you clarify the folowing questions.
1) what is the relation ship between SHRWEB and CRMWEB?
2) what is the difference between
            *isa (E-Commerce), this related .war is available in SHRWEB.sca*
           *icss (Internet Customer Self Service) .war is availabl in CRMWEB.sca*

POV gives you F4 help.
like:
You can call dialog modules in the POV event using the event keyword PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD f MODULE mod.
After the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST statement, you can only use the MODULE statement together with the FIELD statement. When the user chooses F4 for a field f, the system calls the module mod belonging to the FIELD statement. If there is more than one FIELD statement for the same field f, only the first is executed. The module mod is defined in the ABAP program like a normal PAI module. However, the contents of the screen field f are not available, since it is not transported by the FIELD statement during the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event. You can now program your own value lists in the module. However, this procedure is only recommended if it really is not possible to use a search help. Defining search helps is much easier than PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST, since the system takes over some of the standard operations, such as getting field contents from the screen. It also ensures that the F4 help has a uniform look and feel throughout the system. Furthermore, it means that you do not have to reassign input help to fields on each screen.
Despite the introduction of search helps (and search help exits), there are still cases in which you need to use parts of the standard F4 functions directly. In this case, there are some standard function modules that you can use in the POV event. They support search helps, as well as all other kinds of input help, and are responsible for data transport between the screen and the input help. These alll have the prefix F4IF_. The most important are:
·        F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST
Calls the input help of the ABAP Dictionary dynamically. You can pass the component names of a structure or database table of the ABAP Dictionary to the function module in the import parameters TABNAME and FIELDNAME. The function module starts the ABAP Dictionary input help for this component. All of the relevant screen fields are read. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the users selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
·        F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
This function module displays a value list that you created in an ABAP program. The self-programmed value list is passed to the function module as the table parameter VALUE_TAB. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the users selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
There are also two function modules - DYNP_VALUES_READ and DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE - that can read the values of screen fields and return values to them during the POV event. For further information, refer to the relevant function module documentation.

TARIF - difference between Feature and Indirect Evaluation Module

What is the difference between feature Tarif that is used to default payscale area /ps type and Indirect eval module used for wagetypes ?
How is this used, applied ?

Well described, Thanks. Understood that Valuation module for wage type has nothing to do with Feature Tarif.
However, I also found Indirect Valuation Module called TARIF with variants -A,B,C, D.
TARIF
Valuation according to the "collective agreement group and level" specifications you enter in the IMG step:
Module variant 'A'
Country grouping derived from the employee's personnel area
Pay scale type from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale area from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale indicator derived from the employee subgroup
Pay scale group from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale level from infotype 0008/0052
Wage type = SPACE
Therefore, now i understand as : Feature Tarif defaults Payscale values in IT8 .
and Ind Val Module Tarif ( A) reads the payscale values in IT8 and leaves the wagetype blank with no amount ?
Is this correct ?

Difference between PCUI and CRM GUI

Hi all,
We are currently on CRM 5.0 and we noticed that in the CRM GUI
you have much more possibilities(and freedom) as in the PCUI version.
Eg. In the PCUI we can relate a contactperson to only 1 company while in the
gui version this is unlimited.
Another example: If we relate a contactperson to a company in the PCUI,
the address of the company is shown together with the contact person.
If we do this in the GUI(even when explicitly choosing for the copying of the address) , there is no copying of this address.
Is this default and standard SAP?
I can understand that the PCUI offers less possibilities but I can not believe that it handles another business logic then in the GUI.

Thanks for your fast response.
I'm not at my office and i'm a total novice in CRM.
How can I see which application we use?
Us was told that there is only ONE possibility for transaction BP in the portal.
Since there are differences between the two gui's, there is now the intention to rework the gui backend(with bapi's) so that it would react the same as in the portal(PCUI).
I have 10 years of overall experience in R/3 and this seems to me the world upside down.
Another intention is to let all users work from the portal(which is not very performant)
Furthermore I've difficulty to believe that SAP would offer a product(PCUI) that handles another business logic then the backend logic which is the basis of everything.
About the business address of the contact person:
In the portal we see this address together with the contact person data.
In the GUI we don't see it on the general tab(which doesn't seem to me unlogic since you can relate the same contact person to different companies)

Hi,
There is not really any difference. Both use the same Business Workflow engine/framework. The actual difference comes from the business content itself. For example in HR you need to be familiar with the infotypes & org. structure etc., and if you know them and you know WF development in general, you should not have too much difficulties developing HR workflows.
Your question is a bit like what is the difference between ABAP and HR ABAP. Well, they are not different, BUT there are some tricks, techniques and knowledge that you should have if you want to be a good HR ABAP developer.

Difference between User Exit & a Functional Module

Please help me in understanding ,what's an User Exit & a Functional Module in
standard SAP.How do we define both of them.
1.When can/cannot I use an user exit?How to check for which T codes in PP
Module an User Exit can be used or present.
2.Can I use only a Functional Modules for Z developments or also an user Exit for
Z developments?

user exit is a customised code used to extend or change normal SAP functionality.FM is a piece of reusable code uesed as a part of modularisation technique in SAP so that you can use this code again & again.
1. you create FM through se37. First create function group which in return will contain your FM. you creates user exits through SMOD and CMOD. In case of some standard programs there are special includes where you can add u r own code to extend standard functionality. ( in pro sapmv45a include sapmvfzz used).
to find an exit go to se80 or se84 give the package name and find exit corresponding to it ( ex for sales exits give package VA then search for exit )
for second point i didnt get get what u want to know?
for any z development u dont need at all to use exits u can do it thru SE38.USER-EXIT is add on functionality to customise u r standard transaction.

I would like to know the difference between LX and LH SFP modules. Long Haul ( LH ) denotes longer distances while Long Wavelength ( LX ) denotes less energy which is obviously shorter distance. Why does Cisco use both LX and LH for certain SFP modules?
Do they denote the capability of the module to work both for MM ( which will be Long wavelength ) and SM ( Long Haul ) fiber? Do correct me if i am wrong.

Generally a module is either made for single mode (More distance) / multimode (short distance). But this module can be used for both Single mode and Multimode.
If used with SM fiber it can go upto 10Km
It used with MM it can go upto 550meters (depend on what kind os MM fiber you have) You need a mode conditioning patch chord too with legacy MM i think OM1 and 2.

What is the difference between
1. A function module calling in 'update task'( if attributes not set for update mode).
2.A function module's attributes set to update mode, but while calling not specified 'Update task'.
Please clarify this doubt.

Assets: provision for differences between APC and Market Value

Hi,
my current client needs to make a provision with the difference between the APC and Market Value in some assets (buildings...).
Our idea is to use Valuation Area 02 in order to reflect those "Market Values" and create another Valuation Area = 02 - 01. With this area we will have the amount the we need to make the provision in GL.
I just wanted to know if FI-AA has anything that could make those provisions automatically. I have looked into help.sap.com, customizing etc... and I could not find anything.
Does anybody knows if there is a standard "provision function" for assets?
I think that we will need to develop an ABAP program for this requirement...

I want to know the difference between RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM and RV_PRICE_PRINT_ITEM_BUFFER function modules.
Both FMs are meant to fetch all pricing condtions for document.

In the calculation schema you can customize your conditions. E.G: if they shall be printed or not.
So the FM gets you back two tables of conditions.
TKOMV (ALL of em)
TKOMVD (Just the ones that are marked as to be printed)
Those ones from TKOMVD are the ones you need for invoice printing.
But for calculation issues or whatever you may need to have a look at some conditions which are not marked as to be printed and so you get TKOMV back to be able to do so.

But, to be specific i need to know the functionality difference between these releases for Financial modules.As I said AFAIK there are no fuc. difference between 12.04 and 12.0.6.
Lets say, some major/minor functionality has been added to modules like AP, GL, CM. which we need to take care while migrating the objects.When you apply 12.0.6 patch it could be change some field in forms, its mean if you have custom code than some field can be add or remove wiht new patches and your custom related object can be fail.
