There is no difference in these two phones (6060, 6060v) you will find the 6060v available in the Asia Pacific only! as we only stock the 6060 here in the United Kingdom. (colours also varie)

0.2.44.110 is currently the latest map version available for use with v3.06 & later.

What's the difference between Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2....

Yesterday I updated to Ovi Suite 2.2.1.22 from 2.2.0.245 - Update crashes as usual with OVI suite (Error Message: Could not delete Service).
I had to uninstall all Nokia SW, reboot, install first the new Ovi Suite than PC Suite (I like a reliable Outlook Synchronisation, which OVI doesn't provide).
Just tried to define a Outlook folder to synchronize Outlook Notes: Just by accessing the Outlook file - Ovi crashes!
For what OVI suite is usefui? Delete all the Maps on my phone at once (which lasts several Hours) - Formatting the memory card is much more faster
Looking whether the is a ROM update for my N82 is available - It isn't.
PC Suite still works fine in synchronizing Outlook 2010 on Win7 x64. OVi suggests the same, but immediately crashes when just accessing a Outlook file.
Possibly in OVI Suite 5 this will work, about in the year 2025.
Where there is a technical documentation on the different versions of the OVI suite, where on the Nokia web I can find out, what release number is the current version?
I think, Nokia should do a better job!

Resistance thermometer wiring configurations:
Two-wire configuration
The simplest resistance thermometer configuration uses two wires. It is only used when high accuracy is not required as the resistance of the connecting wires is always included with that of the sensor leading to errors in the signal. This applies equally to balanced bridge and fixed bridge system.
Three-wire configuration
In order to minimize the effects of the lead resistances a three wire configuration can be used. Using this method the two leads to the sensor are on adjoining arms, there is a lead resistance in each arm of the bridge and therefore the lead resistance is cancelled out. High quality connection cables should be used for this type of configuration because an assumption is made that the two lead resistances are the same.
Four-wire configuration
The four wire resistance thermometer configuration even further increases the accuracy and reliability of the resistance being measured. In the diagram above a standard two terminal RTD is used with another pair of wires to form an additional loop that cancels out the lead resistance. The above Wheatstone bridge method uses a little more copper wire and is not a perfect solution. Below is a better alternative configuration four-wire Kelvin connection that should be used in all RTDs. It provides full cancellation of spurious effects and cable resistance of up to 15 Ω can be handled. Actually in four wire measurement the resistance error due to lead wire resistance is zero.

The V4.0726.2.0.1 is only applicable for Normal N73?

Hi there. Having the exact same problem when trying to switch off in silent mode or pager mode but ok on general mode. Been sent away to three network who sent it back saying that all nokia n73s do this on three network and nokia are trying to fix this problem. The line manager at threes customer service centre told me that all n73s do this even on other networks. Is this true? What can I do about this. Did you get a replacement handset that works ok or are you still stuck with that handset and its problems?

As far as i'm aware it purely a cosmetic change (i.e. the Black Facia) and that it has a different music application, comes with better headphones & memory card for music. (I think). I have seen them both and thats all i could see different).

As you posted can see no reason for 20€ disparity from this Italian retailer for two grey versions as was only available in Dark Grey or Yellow/Grey.
No pun intended but in the UK users might wonder if it was a "grey import"

I have Nokia E71, Phone having option to switch modes and also we have profile option.
Can some body explain the difference between switch mode and having different profile ?.

The profile impacts things like default ringtone, vibration settings, etc.
With the mode switching you can also switch active standby applications and plugins (e.g., work vs. free time).
Personally, I don't use the modes, and with profiles, I only use "General" and "Silent" and don't bother with others.

Both E-series and Communicators are business phones,then what is the difference between them?
What is so special that there are two types of smartphones.

Communcatiors is just a name that nokia used to describe it's larger fold open business phones.
The last (and still the current) communicator was the E90 which uses the S60 operating system, so it is both an E series and a communicator. It was also the first (and only) communicator to use S60.
The long discontinued communicators of the past used a different operating system, S80. S80 and S60 are not cross compatible with each other.
S80 was dropped in favour of S60 when the E90 launched. This was a cost saving exercise so that nokia only had one smartphone OS to concentrate resources on.

think of WML vs. WMLScript as HTML vs. JavaScript. WML is the markup, byte-compiled and sent to your microbrowser. WMLScript is code that your browser can run to do client-side validation and other manipulations.
tutorials, simulators, etc. are just a web search away.
same for the nokia WAP toolkit--you'll likely have to sign on as a nokia developer, it's free.

Hello. I would like to ask you, what are the differences between a N95 for European market and one for Asian? I bought one for Asian and I have an awkward keypad and a dictionary. I`m wondering are there any other differences, like built quality? Should I change mine for an European one? Is it possible to change a keypad for a normal one? Anything other that hasn`t been mentioned? Thank you all, in advance.

Hmmm not sure you can alter the dictionaries that come pre installed, the dictionary is there for when you use predictive sms, so it can match the words and u have the option to add words it does not recognise
holding # key on my generic N95 does not does not either of what u described, i think u should research your info, b4 u commit to a post, maybe the odd network that install there own firmware has the option to use the # key to change between line one and 2 and otheres programe it to scroll between silent and general, my handset being generic it does neither of these, so im guessing Nokia did not design this, why would u need the # key to change profiles when u can do this by pressing the power button once

Why this difference between OTA and Ovi suite upda...

I have a doubt about the recent Anna update that was available for S ^3 phones.I updated my C6-01 thru OTA and the size of the update was 26MB. Including the other additional 4 updates the total update size was around 80 to 90 MB. But on Ovi suite or NSU the update was reported to be around 270MB by the users here. Why this huge difference between the two methods of update? So does that mean there is any difference between updating via OTA and PC?

The difference is Ovi suite install is like installation from a clean slate. It installs everything from top to bottom as a fresh installation. But via OTA, the installation does an install of only the files that need to be updated or additionally installed for the fresh OS. So only the big difference in size. So in reality both the methods are more or less the same...

Difference between CK-51 and CK-51B

I have a Canon Pixma ip90 and am looking for a battery for it. I've found a CK-51 for sale but am not sure if it is compatible...I fairly sure it is though. Am I right that the only difference between CK-51 and CK-51B is the colour (black)?
Can anyone confirm this for me please? I would be grateful for any help.

My car stereo also has a CD changer fitted, and since my original post I read in the CK-300 manual that if there si no Aux input then a CD changer or other stereo input can be used instead. Do you happen to know whether the CD input on a car stereo is suitable for low level inputs ?
If so then I could presumeably disconnect the CDchanger and use that input. I haven't used it since I bought the car because faffing about under the passenger seat is too much trouble and my Nokia music collection is now much larger than my CD collection anyway so it would be no loss to me to not have one. I could always reinstate it if I ever sell the car and move over the CK-300.
